The voice over was by Orthodox Wisdom
The excerpt is from either Nihilism by Fr. Seraphim Rose or Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future by Fr. Seraphim Rose.
I strongly recommend both of these books.

Blessed Fr Seraphim Rose please pray unto God for us.
It was thanks to St Seraphim Rose that not only did I feel a deep connection to Orthodoxy. But that I didnt feel alone in my beliefs that I had prior to Orthodoxy. He helped explain, through his writings, how the world is messed up and that it further proves God and Orthodoxy. It was through those inspired by him, Death to the World Zine, that I felt peace and understood suffering is for salvation. Get knocked down. Get back up. Repeat. Take up your cross and keep going.

Asking prayer. My father left Orthodoxy for pentecostalism. Years later, we lived in his brother's liquor store full of porn. Years later he remarried a very mean woman who separated him from his family and treats him worse than a dog. I became a transient who hated God and could never hold a relationship stuck being poor. I just found out about Orthodoxy and that my father was baptized 3 years ago and he left it immediately. I always hated the protestant god because the message was bi polar and seemingly no answer to prayer. When I found doxology and chants, it broke my heart and I don't want to be God's enemy anymore . God bless

    Dear American Orthodox Christians!
You need to remember this state of your faith when it is hot, when it is steadfast and righteous, when it is pure as a tear and when it has the strength to resist worldly temptations. Right now, God is giving you that advance, that fat, with which you will be able to nourish yourself in the future, when in a difficult moment your faith becomes impoverished, when your strength runs out, when prayer dries up, when your heart hardens.
Each person individually and the whole nation together can experience moments of decline, and it is then with all your heart and with all your soul that you kneel, asking God not to leave you.
Before your eyes, now the Faith of your Ancient Fathers is winning hearts again, regaining healing power, and the weight of the word, and softening of hearts. Hugged you all warmly!
And glory to Him at all times!

Hello, im in an similar situation. Im from turkey, a muslim country. And i was a muslim too. Then i left the religion when i read the Quran in Turkish. And become an atheist. And life became meaningless, i searched many religions from both west and east. Almost all of them didnt make sense. Except Christianity. When i started to read bible i felt something i've never felt. I had m*sturbation problems but that feeling helped me, now im clear for 1,4 years. After that i went to serbia for Erasmus+ program. At the end of the thing, we went to an Orthodox church in Belgrade. I think the church's name was St. Sava church. It was beautiful. I still have photos of the church in my gallery. It's been like a year since that happened. And yet im still not a Christian. The reasons are basically evolution and proving god's existence. And also i dont live in an good city. It has no churches no christians and most of the people here are radical muslims, even if ive become an Christian it means i have to be lonely for most of my life. I also study in a religious high school. These reasons kept me back from becoming a Christian. Ive been in an existential crisis for over 3 years. Please help me, put an end to this pain. I will become an Christian when i finally start believing in god.

You must be Protestant. That's what I'm gathering.
Christ God is the only Mediator because He is both God and man fully, two natures united in His one divine Person. That's His Mediation of man to God.
You confuse that with intercessors, which anyone is that prays for another. Those in the hereafter are closest to God for they are alive in Him as the soul cannot die even if the body sleeps until the Resurrection. Christ is God of the living, not the dead. Those with Him share in His Energies. Prayer is not inherently worship, it is petition.
We do not have idols. We do not worship anything but God. Having icons is not idols as we do not believe God is trapped in the icon nor do we worship ink on wood. That would be like saying you worship the ink on wood of the Bible because you use it in worship to God. It makes no sense.
We pray to God both for petition and worship; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The one faith delivered once to the church, the same yesterday today and forever, is the orthodox faith. This faith was, unfortunately, lost to the west through the pride of the pope, and all those who followed after him. Unfortunately, those who rebelled against him did not return to the faith, but either added more innovations, or subtracted that which was genuine.

@@OrthodoxEthos this once for all delivered to the saints faith is laid out clearly in Scripture. Both Rome & the East add works to the gospel, which the Bible clearly states we are justified by faith apart from works, lest anyone should boast. When you add works to the gospel you are adding grounds for boasting which Paul excludes. Christ worked both actively & passively to fulfill all of the Law on behalf of His people & to add works to the gospel is to insinuate that He did not fulfill the Law entirely on our behalf

We find God and unity with God in the Body of Christ, which is the Church, the Holy Orthodox Church. You don't know of our Faith because you don't study it or experience it. Orthodoxy is experiential. If you don't have the experience you can't say what it is like. You can only say what you've researched, which is intellectual (if correct) not spiritual. Experience comes from engaging the nous, not mere mind or emotion.
