Ma main issue with the Elite 6 cabs was their tendency to go up in flames out of the blue, out of a batch of 7 26 tonne Elite 6's we've had 3 catch on fire (nothing to do with anything in the load, it was the actual motors themselves that went up) but hopefully these new Dennis cabs are a bit better in that sense. They look really nice inside especially with the ambient lighting and the separate seats are a big win (better than that bench style they had before). Do South Ayrshire have any Merc Econics currently?
Cheers pal. 3 catching fire doesnt sound good at all! Iv heard of the loads catching fire ,but not the actual trucks themselves. Ye there a lot better ,especially the leg room. No we dont have any merc econics ,the reason being that mercedes dont do a slim body option. All of south ayrshire council bin lorries are dennis and slim bodied. Dennis is the only manafacturer that does them I think ,
Amazing video mate! I like the blue lighting in there, looks easy to use too 👍 how often do you guys get breakdowns? I've heard a lot about Dennis breaking down easily!
Ye we've had issues in the past with them,there bad for sensors going. The engines have been pretty reliable although there Volvo engines in them so you would expect them to be pretty robust. But ye they do have there problems,even when new.
