HI! G9 ii in B just because it overheats despite having all the specs of the gh7? are you crazy? Class A at least. I recorded with it in the summer for 2 hours continuously with a temperature of 28 degrees in 4k 60 p and the temperature light didn't even come on. You can do anything. Taking it out of class B immediately makes no sense, there is no proportionality. The S9 even if not professional has the specs of the s5 ii, you can't put it in C. It must be at least in B. And let's not joke. I agree with the Gh7 in S. On the other S1h that you put in S I have to trust, ok image quality, but with that poor autofocus of the previous lumix versions, I would say it can also stay in A. Maybe a new version with the new AF will certainly deserve the S class if they don't do stupid things.
They're all great, but some are just a little better for their time. I think the most influential ones are the GH4 and the GX85, both having some of the most innovative features that are now on most cameras: ability to shoot 4k (GH4 was the first hybrid for this, and 4k with IBIS (the GX85 was the first for this). This was the golden age for Lumix. Amazingly, they have yet to release a GX85-style camera with a mic jack and PDAF, this would be the holy grail. Sold all my M43 stuff because it took them too long and moved to Lumix FF. I put $1000 back into my pocket, bought a S5 with vintage lenses to replace all my M43 stuff- better image, almost as portable, all the best features minus PDAF (but have a S5ii for that with AF lenses). Would like to add that the VX1 (and VX980/981) are the ONLY video camera that you can just hand ANYONE and they'll get decent footage and audio. They're not for critical evaluation of the image- only usability counts here.
I had a GH3, a GH4, two GH5's and an AF100. Now I have two GH5 Mk2's and a GH6. All my cameras are equipped with Atomos Ninja V's but they also record a safety track internally.
How do you find the om-1 vs the g9ii specifically for animal tracking? I have the 40-150 f2.8 and use it on Panasonic, but been looking for a second body.
@@huasheng9695 you may be right, honestly it was hard to put anything much lower than A since they all can be an A or S for someone! I think the fact it felt like a stop gap to me took it down a lot but yea it’s a great cam. I think I’ll have to make a video on why I moved on from it and why it’s a great camera
Here is what I think: all, hydrid cameras are likely mid tier. Like most things in life, when you choose a compromise you don’t get the best of anything. There are great cameras for photographers and there are great cameras for folks who make video. If you want to do both you need two different tools. Red35 had a recent live stream on this very issue. Sure, some do ‘ good enough’ at both for an enthusiast or certainly someone with a hobby. I think LUMIX largely falls into here, good enough options for most (I own a lumix and quite like it).
I was a huge CapCut user and a few months ago I switched to Premiere and I am glad I did but I'm still struggling to do a lot of what I was already doing in CapCut. I learned that even though eventually the transition will be with it it's better to be comfortable with your editing program for me. Im not sure what is so much better about DR over PP but I already use a lot of the adobe photo stuff so I just prefer that workflow rather then another months on top of months of learning curve I guess is what I am saying.
@@BassDad yeah I just use some other other plug-ins and programs with Adobe that it’s difficult to move to something else just for video editing when my photo graphics and visual effects are all in my subscription. Glad to see you make the move tho! Meanwhile people keep telling me to try out CapCut haha
You should have waited for a day of better inspiration for such a special synthesis... like, look what Emily did. This is not an ordinary video topic in a row, it's an arch, a look back over 10 years period of your most productive age. I'm sure there's a lot more experience and personal relationship with these cameras left unveiled under your skin.
It’s always a struggle with videos like this. If I waxed poetic for these cameras too much the video could easily go on for hours. Maybe it should have but it’s always a tough balance.
@@RhettThompsonFilm yes, but then you would be on your own ground. Great idea for the future! This looks like your own replay version of their ideas. I am not criticizing you, to the contrary. I know how much potential you have.
The video I review every single lumix camera ever made I’ll keep this in mind haha although that videos is gonna be feature length! I know you didn’t mean this to be unconstructive criticism and I take this to heart!
What are the Lumix S Tier Cameras for you>?

I still love my lumix tz/zs 100 its still great for travel & daily camera for social media

G90 would be my A tier. No other camera fits my hands so well for example.
Never got to have the pleasure of using one but you’ve got me interested!

felt a little bit harsh for my g92 missing the fan then dropped from A to B
although I do use mine as a EDC camera for street and landscape photos ~~

Just can’t do it, love the look of my GH6 still although the 7 is a fine camera.
@@Memory_Gatherers it pains me so haha I’m very glad I can have both because the GH6 color is sooo perfect
Another RT tier list!?!? 🔥🎉
