Koenig Specials Testarossas have always been some of the wildest vehicles that perfectly emulate 80s excess in Japan. Many Koenig Specials Testarossas produced upwards of 1000hp. This is a Koenig Specials for sale at Bingo Sports in Tokyo. Join me on a random night when I stumbled across this car and Alex Penfold & Ken Saito on a photoshoot. We got to see the Koenig Specials Testarossa driving on the road.

It had a select dial for horsepower. You could select 600 - 1000 hp using a dial. This increased boost pressure. On race fuel, it could make nearly 1,000 HP in the 80s!!!!

No it didn't. This is Koenig's first iteration of the Testarossa twin turbo and it delivered 720 horsepower. The later Koenig Competition had 800 horsepower and this car had a boost control knob in the center console. The later Competition Evolution was an upgraded variant and that car delivered 1,000 horsepower, although that number was never verified by independent (magazine) tests.
