- Georgia's ruling party has said it will withdraw a Russian-style draft law, in the face of mass protests and widespread international criticism.
However, protests continued for a third night in Tbilisi, as anger over the controversial law remained.
Under the bill, non-government groups and media would be targeted if they take over 20% of funding from abroad.
The main ruling party said it was pulling the bill "unconditionally".

Not going to happen. It takes years or even decades for countries to be able to join and make their country ready for EU law and regulations. F.e. Poland applied in 1994 and only got accepted in 2004 after years of reform.

Slovakia is poor because it is a small, landlocked country with limited natural resources and few large international companies. Being part of EU is only thing keeping it from being even poorer. The same as countries with similar economies like Azerbaijan, Laos, ect…..
We live in the internet age. If you want your country to be rich, elect a government that invests in education and business to try to create innovation. Slovakia probably gets the same investments in these areas from EU as they do from their own government…😊

There’s lot in common between Georgia and Ukraine. Both invaded by Russia, both have occupied territory by Russia, Ukraine had pro-Russian government in 2014, Georgia has it now. Both want to decouple from Russia.
