Sir Recently bought xhdata D109, but very disappointed by its reception of FM signal,even in New Delhi area it requires extra anteena, audio is above average, please suggest a digital radio with exceptional sensitivity and selectivity. Thanks
Namaskar Rajesh ji. As I have mentioned again and again on this channel; D-808 is the ultimate FM performer and within decent price (currently in 6400, but usually priced 8000-8500). Audio is crisp but lacks Bass to some extent.

An amazing review from you Pravinder ji. This radio is in my radar lately despite being a proud owner of XHDATA D-219 now. Sole reason being it's an analog receiver with no DSP that's capable enough to compete with top contenders with all its might and having a well-balanced audio output in all 3 bands. Pricing and Availability is a huge issue for Tecsun lately. Major e-commerce and third-party websites are all out of stock here in India currently. Import is the only option for now. As you mentioned above in the review video R-9012 is well balanced in audio output, I did find to my surprise the sound is equivalent to 6kHz bandwidth in MW & SW Bands. That's a rarity to find in an entry level World Band Radio. In contrast, XHDATA D219 is programmed to work in 2kHz Bandwidth both in MW & SW. It does eliminate a lot of unwanted noise from background, but con being, it muffles the sound. What R-9012 holds, D219 skips out and vice versa. As life's all about compromises, the pricings of both R-9012 and D-219 justifies their fair shares of pros of cons in their majestic domains unapologetically. 73 🙏

Its a little noisy but that noise is very much an ornament of any analog Radio. Tecsun has ignored Indian market and that according to me is a wrong move.

A bangalore based online seller does stock Tecsun Inventory but I found their pricings to a higher side. For instance, Tecsun R-9700DX, an improved upgrade and considered elder brother of R-9012 that costs around 45USD ~ 3.8k INR costing 6.1k after all the taxes and delivery charges to my location. At 6k would you consider it a worth it deal to invest into an analog receiver or with some additional savings would you switch to more refined DSP infused flagship of XHDATA called D-808?

Depends upon the quality of components used. But a well made dsp chip is always very sensitive in reception of weak signals even. But Analog Radios have their own benefits. A separate video will cover this.

Hi! Pravinderji. my name is Johnson. I am in a team oxygen emergency at Nagaland since Covid times. I too have a few collections of radios and a very keen SWL. I was using a Tecsun pl660 and a Sony ICF Sony ICF-SW7600GR which are excellent radios with an external inverted V long antenna. SSB bands especially have continuous weather reports for ships and aircraft which is very interesting to hear and know the weather predictions. i always look forward for your posts. keep up the excellent work!@@pravindersheoran

Maine wo Radio 1900 Rs mein liya tha, 7500 mein to sawal hi nahin uthta. 1400 Rs mein Pagaria 5 band Radio lijiye, Analog hai, made in India hai, Bluetooth, MP3, SD Card, USB sab aayega. SW ke 19 se 60 m band aayenge, strong FM reception aayega aur lamba sa Antenna aayega. R9012 agar fir kabhi saste price mein aata hai to baat alag hai.

This is only radio with 10 SW bands with good sound quality.. Build quality solid but signal reception strength over SW somewhere weak in comparison of Xhdata, Its my personal experience😉😎..
Actually it's a true analog one, but every models from brand Xhdata(including d219), on digital signal processing system.. So there is the main difference creates over signal strengths, might be😉😎..

Yes brother, all other Radios are 9 bands or less. XHDATA Radios are goos in signal reception, no doubt.
Actually it's a true analog one, but every models from brand Xhdata(including d219), on digital signal processing system.. So there is the main difference creates over signal strengths, might be😉😎..

@@pravindersheoran but then what about old retro analog radios or vintage tube radios.. They don't had DSP but those days, reception was great.. In post/pre Independence radios, the radio reception smoothly comes all over from world, including Afghanistan,Nepal, Bhutan, Karachi, Srilanka, Dhaka etc, all ware under British colonialism 😉😎..
