I'm so darn proud of you for everything you've done. I chatted with you a tiny bit after your first marathon of this journey and I mentioned how inspiring your journey is, and it remains so. As someone who is chronically ill you brought my passion for taking care of my body back when I was grappling with all the pain and depression associated with my many disabilities. I've made a lot of progress, have gotten stronger, have gotten further medical support and care, and the drive I've had to do that came partially from you. You're making a huge difference.

I'll be battling the rest of my life (I have a genetic disorder) but keeping up with the running world via you, this messy happy, etc now that I can't run has driven me through my battles and will keep me fighting physically! It's paid off so far, I used to not be able to climb stairs much at all and now I can climb my boyfriend's parents house stairs all the way up 3 floors, carrying a cat! It's not a marathon, but it's a win for sure. I also just quit school and started pursuing my passion of art and it was partially your bravery that inspired that too!
2024 is gonna be another exciting year for you.
And remember that WE are lucky to be with you on this journey.

Thanks so much for sharing about your eating disorder. I struggled with an eating disorder as an athlete going from high school through College. Doctors I had told me that I was fine and it was normal that I didn’t get my period because I was an athlete and then I had a coach make fun of me for being small and looking I’d never spent time in a weight room. I had to stop running for a long time due to injury and It wasn’t until I was out of college and also met my now husband that I started to heal from my Ed. I am just returning to running after years off and it feels so much better and feels rewarding and inspiring rather than punishing! It has been so cool to follow your story! Please don’t stop sharing!

Really great video. I think lots of people struggle with identity especially as we grow up people around change but we don't see ourselves change as easily as we see every second of our lives. Love the content and you got this!

I ran my first marathon this year (with still lots of time for improvement, but it's a start), and even though I'm sick atm and miserably pushing myself through a workday, your videos make me wanna push myself again. You are such a light to me! I realize that I am old enough to be your mother, yet I am still an avid runner, scratching my way down to a 3:30 marathon! I've only come as close as 3:32, but alas....and of course, I identify with your struggles with eating disorders (mine lasted much longer, I'm afraid), so took to running again after my three kiddos were in the picture (2006). Many marathons later, still working on my own journey as a whole person! I too am fortunate to have found my career (teaching 3rd grade) here in California, but running keeps me SANE! Love you and Daniel both!!

My daughter (teenage runner) and I love your videos and seeing you work so hard for your running dream (but also work so hard to love the run!). It's inspiring. I don't doubt your Oregon video was hard, but I want to say-again-thank you for shedding light on these issues that so many female runners face. You and Allie Ostrander (@allie_ostrander) are two amazing women runners who have shared your past running journeys as well as your current ones, including those types of lows. It means a lot to my daughter, who hopes to make running a lifelong passion, while also competing as far up the competition ladder as she can. And it means a lot to me, her father, and her mother (also a fan!), to know the kinds of struggles, risks, and hardships female runners face to be able to meet their triumphs.
To put it more shortly, your videos inspire my daughter to be a good, healthy runner who pursues sustainable running, and the joy of it all. (And not just her, but her mom and I both get inspired by your work! And I don't doubt we're the only ones!)

Can't believe you have only been doing these for 2 years, I came across you when you linked up with some other running youtuber i was watching(can't remember which!) but i reckon it must be within a month or 2 of you starting then,i certainly couldn't tell. Good luck for 2024.
I hope you maximize your o2 transport potential while at altitude. You are brimming with confidence. I do not believe attitude is everything, but it is a necessity and you got it rolling right now. Ride that wave Philly.

Hey, I used to be like that, no direction after school. Worked dead end jobs for years , now I own my own business “ Running specific sports therapy” a one stop shop for treatment, nutrition, running clothing and accessories and I love it 😅

The first video of yours I ever watched was about your time at the Oregon Ducks. As another runner who has recovered from ED, I always think that the same single minded/borderline obsessional traits that led to me being dangerously underweight have also led me to being successful in other ways and an OK runner. I wonder if it feels the same for you. Love the grind 🤩

I too have struggled SO hard and also (mentally) photoshopped my face onto a number of careers and still feel lost . Also WHAT is that pancake maker ?
