- Today I FINALLY passed my driving test! However, this was not my first attempt: I'd already failed three times! Here's my story about how I managed to mess it up three times and why it doesn't matter.

That’s true.. my instructor says this. All the PhD, scientist, research, rank holders and people have masters degrees are not easy to teach.

The thing I hate about the stigma of not passing your driving test is that you must be stupid or unintelligent because of it. So annoying. I passed on my fourth go too haha
Failed twice already, months later i'm looking to book my 3rd test. At Least research has supposedly says that the more intelligent you are the more times you're likely to fail because your brain over analyses situations resulting you in forgetting to do an obvious thing.

@Koolkid To be honest I always drive great outside of the driving test. But I failed twice on the drivers test. So it's not necessarily true that everyone who fails isn't up to par.

I failed my first one today. I was so confident that I had passed and then last minute I messed up a park REALLY BADLY. I took it hard because if I hadn’t messed up that park I would’ve passed, but this video really helped me realise what you said, it’s not a reflection of my driving, just my driving in those 45 minutes. I failed my test today for the second time and I feel so down😔 My examiner was so so utterly rude that his vibe genuinely effected me. From the second we walked to the car he was rude. But I hope I'm lucky for the third time but I love this video! Your personality is awesome😎
PakizeOduncu the exact same thing happened to me. The guy was coming off as a dick head. So I got nervous and failed. My 2nd test is tomorrow and I'm getting nervous. Hopefully it's with someone nicer. :/
Don't give up man. I totally understand. It's not that you can't drive it's just crazy rules. You better you can drive. I failed 5x and even got clinically depressed. Just passed a few days ago. Don't give up mate ok keep trying

I hate those people who pass there driving test and claim it was their first time when it actually was there 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. time.
The national average for 1st time passes is only 42% so there's lots of fibbers out there

if i take my theory again il fail it lol. ive failed 3 times now. was about to pass he told me to park up and i didnt see the guy standing at the zebra crossing so failed for that. fml. i got till april 2018 to pass or got to take my theory again. ::::::::::::::::::::(((((
I literally just failed my 3rd driving test and I thought I was going to pass it then I was told you do not qualify and I was actually confident on this test
This is so nice to hear! Currently taking a break after failing my test 3 times! Your experience gives me hope for my 4th attempt. There is definitely an expectation to pass first time but as soon as you fail once, so many people tell you that they also have failed multiple times. Congratulations on finally passing, I know the struggle! x
I failed my test last week and I feel so shitty about it. Now I have to wait a couple of weeks until my second test. I have a friend who had her test one day before me and she passed. That didn't make it easier eventhough I am proud of her for passing. I just wish to get my license as soon as possible. The hardest part is having to wait for the next chance.
Same, my sister passed on her 2nd go… happy for her and it was 2 days before I had one myself and I failed it. Now waiting for a 4th attempt. I don’t know but I feel the assessor is overly graceful for my sister but mine aren’t😕
I failed my second test yesterday and honestly I feel awful about it. My first test I nearly passed but I made 1 stupid mistake. I booked my second test for over a months time away and I became a much better driver in that time but I failed again and this time the test went worse than the first time! It's so true how every test is different. My second test was much harder with way more hazards and I ended up making misatakes that I would never make in my lessons. It's knocked my confidence massively as I am a huge perfectionist and not used to failing. Now I have to go through the stress of another test. I just want to pass so badly :(
What I find that eases my worries and eventually helps me succeed is that it's okay to fail, I can't stand people who mock you for taking longer to pass your test than usual.
well done to you...the feeling of passing is amazing isn't it...I beat myself up so much on my first attempt with 10 faults, I was such a nervous wreck...I took my second test on my birthday and failed with 5 minors...I actually passed on my third test, although the lesson I had before the test didn't go to well, but I passed with 3 minors and I honestly don't no what was so different that time round but I felt so calm and relaxed...congratulations to you again 😊👍🎉

£62.00?? I'm from the Netherlands and failed for the second time today. The fails are a hard hit by itself, hence me watching this video/the comments for comfort. Although the stupid thing here is an exam costs around £200.00 (€235.00) and you have to take 2/4 lessons prior to your re-exam, which costs ~£35.00 (
I failed for the 3rd times today by the same examiner. Why am I so unlucky to always have him. Germany driving test is heartbreaking, expensive and makes one look dull or not smart enough. I won't give up, next is going to be a testimony.
Aww bless you.. I know how it feels. This is what happened to me today. Failed for the third time by the same examiner... So gutted.. Ive booked myself straight away for another test. Don't give up.. I won't let this bring me down. I hope u will pass next time 👍👍👍

dont be too down amy driving was stressing my entire life, like i felt so bad about myself when all my cousins were passing, and i didnt, but i just passed and literally i dont feel any different. driving is not a thing which should dictate who your are, you can do it never doubt yourself and dont be too down about it, ive failed my fair share, youllm get there one way or the other
Ahhh I know it's so bloody annoying, same situation, 3rd fail today and all 3 for the past 3 months now have been 1 major, only a couple minors. Even then the majors were such silly mistakes, not like I hit a granny or did 40mph on a 20mph road. I will pass 4th time charm
@Kathryn Eileen Kerr hey, hope you've passed by now. If you're still doing your test, try looking for cancellations or pay a one off for company to search for cancellations for your test centre. It can often bring it forward fairly significantly

Just failed my test for the 3rd time and this video has made me feel so much better. 1st time I failed because I drove on the right side of the road and then back to the left again (fuck knows what I was doing, I was so nervous
😂) 2nd time I was lit 2 minutes away from the test centre and a man walks out in front of me and examiner grabs my wheel and today I failed because I didn’t turn my head dramatically enough to the right when I had to reverse back 2 car parking spaces.... fingers crossed 4th time lucky.
HEY on my first test I fuckin passed a stop sign without stopping like wtf that was an automatic fail and then my second test I did the same shit as you did but since I live out here in New York we drive mainly on the right side… so during my second test the examiner told me to make a left turn at the stop sign .. I did but it was a short turn and I went into the wrong lane so I moved back into the other lane the examiner told me like “you’re in the wrong lane” I’m like fuck I kno I’m just nervous and failed … I was pissed my nerves just keep getting to me ugh.
I had my driving test in July and passed first time with 10 minors. I was actually so nervous I thought I had failed and when my accessor said you’ve passed I actually didn’t believe it
Failed my test the second time today! I'm planning on going like two days from now and hopefully, I can pass. I failed the first and second time both with immediate disqualifications, making the test end early, so I've never even gotten to the three-point turn on any test I've done even though I know how to do it! It sucks because most people I know who fail are super responsible drivers fail just because they're not being defensive enough. It's normally other people's actions on the road that affect you. But thank you for this video it really makes me feel a lot better. I'm hoping just to hop right back in and pass cause it's so frustrating. I think failing the second time is the hardest because after failing once you're like, "I've got this next time," and go in with a bunch of confidence only to be let down. I love your videos so much though and this one is currently giving me some much-needed therapy.

I passed 2nd time 3 minor faults, thing is it doesn't even matter when you pass you can be the best driver but there is a lot of luck involved.

I've failed my first driving test yesterday. Everything was perfect till the end and when we reached the test centre back he asked me to do a bay parking. It went wrong and i panicked, ruined everything. only got 6 minors apart from that one majour in bay parking. i'm absolutely gutted.
Same here I failed on my first try only because I saw a A pedestrian riding his bike on the crosswalk I got really nervous because I saw him last minute when I saw him I stopped and then after that it went downhill from there for me and then after that I went over the speed limit twice in the right from there I knew I didn’t pass and I felt like shit believe me but I know is that we gotta keep going we can’t give up very easily So I know how you feel you’re not alone on that

I failed my test and everything that could've gone wrong, did go wrong. The break lights stopped working minutes before the test so I was late, I got a mean examiner who rarely passes people and a horrific test route. Not to mention I live in LONDON so it was busy anyways considering my test was 8:20 and I had to do reverse around the corner on a hill, it's like I was set up to fail. My next test is soon though and I hope to pass but we'll just see what happens, it can't go worse than the first one anyways 😂🤷🏾♀️

I passed first time, here are 4 tips I can give
Have a good night sleep as it’s vital for concentration.
The morning of your test (or whatever time it is) get excited for passing and think good thoughts. ( Don’t get overconfident though).
REALLY TRY TO CALM THE NERVES ONCE YOU GET TO THE TEST CENTRE.
And finally, if you do make a mistake during the test. DO NOT dwell on it and prove to the examiner you’re a good driver by just carrying on and you may just get a minor or they probably will ignore it.

Yes it’s not the end if you fail but it still really, really sucks because you gotta pay for more lessons - again…to prepare (already spent myself silly, so expensive) and you have to wait ages again to get a test date. Frustrating.

YOU'VE GOT THIS - I HAVE FAITH IN YOU!!!! Just try and take it easy and remember to exaggerate looking in your mirrors etc, if you don't know what to do make sure you ask the assessor :) Let me know how it goes!

Failed my driving test today, 2nd time. It's so discouraging, especially cause I'm failing for silly things, first I failed for going too slow and today I failed for not stopping fully at the white line at junctions and roundabouts, apparently I was stopping too early/behind it. So frustrating cause its stilly things but still feels like it'll never happen for me😭

The examiner cannot drive you back to the test centre. He is not insured to drive the car. You would have to wait in the car whilst they walk back to get the instructor who has to drive you home.

Easily. In England the test is difficult. Only takes a little thing and you've failed. I know of someone who failed 21 times.passed on the 22nd. It doesn't matter how many times it takes. As long as you get there in the end. Not all the best drivers pass first time

How can some one fail you being so cuteee 😂😂😂😂😂congrats for passing . I have mine next week and freaking out .
After 2 fails I finally got my license! It's pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You're bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 year then I renew again.
My little advice.
* If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver's license which you won't need to test drive.

Thanks for this, it made me feel much better as I failed for the third time on Saturday which was also my birthday and did worse than on my first two tests and I felt like giving up and not taking it again. This really helped me see its not that I'm a bad driver. Hopefully I'll pass on my fourth try like you did.

@@Berry-Xd nope. I've took it like 8 times now and still not passed! Got it again in March and hope this time I will. It was bad having it on my birthday. My driving instructor didn't understand how I kept failing as he said I'm a really good driver. One lady I had twice seemed to fail me on purpose at the same part of the route each time!
@@stephtastrophe fingers crossed! 🤞 the more you practice, the more natural it’ll feel during the test (it’s what I’ve been told) I’m also on my permit and didn’t pass 3 times so I wonder how long it might take to pass. Been hearing tips like follow the road signs and road markings which helps a lot as well as knowing the traffic and road rules, signalling, blind spot checks and mirror checks. It’s always the basic stuff that catches me off guard. Hopefully we’ll both do well on our next one ☝️

I should be able to do it in my sleep now 😂 although not as much lately as my instructor gave up and I've spent so much money and when I've switched instructor before they've took me back to the start and he said I was good enough and he didn't want to see me get ripped off by them. So just going to practice more in own car for now. True. It's always the silly little things that I've failed on. Things I've thought I've done. Everyone keeps telling me as well to exaggerate when you're looking in the mirrors which I'm going to have to do next time and sometimes they say I've not looked when I know I have. I'm sure we'll both get it next time ☺️

The trick is to relax and be confident at what u are doing and its safe to do so. Make sure u listen to the feedback provided by ur assessor’s on ur previous attempts. If u make a minor mistake on the road (but isn’t MAJOR), just correct it safely and confidently if ur able to!!

I failed for the first and hopefully last time two days ago and I was and still am devastated! :( In Australia they're so frickin strict like I got 2 points off out of 3 for one section because I left my signal on for 5 flashes instead of 4! Like big fkn deal I was driving safely and my turns were great! When stopping on the side of the road I was more than half a metre from the kerb so got more points off and ahhh the only thing I know I didn't do well was using the clutch too much and occasionally being in the wrong gear compared to my speed, but the other stuff my examiner was just nitpicking little things!
Oh my godddd, that's so frustrating! Some of my childhood best friends live out in Australia and they were telling me how difficult it is to actually get on the roads, counting my blessings about the UK system!
It was extremely frustrating😁yeah they check every little thing and you can fail if you accidentally roll back like a tiny bit, even if there are no cars behind you, my cousin failed because of that and it was just on a quiet street like she made sure not to roll back on a proper road! Yeah haha so lucky! Apparently it used to be like the UK here, but recently they've gotten stricter, which isn't fair cos my bro had it easy and passed first time!
Jack Edwards Update: I just had my second driving test today and I passed! I did it at a different place and my assessor was so friendly this time. Thank God. It really does depend on your assessor and their mood😁

I've failed mine today for a second time
I failed second time last Friday. Had my first lesson since that tests and my instructor is now saying I should of never done that test dispite having 2 serious (I know is bad) and 5 minors. I've also had over 100 hours of driving. I just feel hopeless at the moment.

I failed first time today I'm so wounded
I'll failed my test today, it was my first one. I only got 1 major and 1 minor, and the major was "driving too close to parked cars"... it was in a residential area, I was going about 17/18 mph tops, and there was barely enough space for one car to go down the road, as cars were parked on either side of the road. So annoying!
I failed for the second time today 😂😂 let’s hope I’ll pass next time

Hey for all of you people specially guys or girls who may be worried about your driver's test. I'm 20 and got my license when I was 16. I failed mine twice, but that's ok! don't be worried and a huge tip that helped was to get cones and set them up like they are during the test. My friend and I practiced for 3 hours before my test, and then I went on to pass with flying colors!
I failed my first driving test with 20 minors and 2 majors! I stalled leaving the test centre and after that just panicked! Second time around I was completely fine! I feel that panic of failing!

Just failed today 😩. Literally failed for the smallest/stupidest thing ever. Went 40mph on a 30mph country road just because I didn’t see a sign and wasn’t familiar with the location to know beforehand. Well annoyed with myself
I just had a test today and failed bc I didn’t give way to a bus. It was stopped so o thought it was waiting you me but turns out you always need to give way to busses other than that my driving was all good. I will definitely pass 4th time 😁 this video is making me think of doing a driving test experience. I love how you said it’s not testing you as a driver it’s the test of you driving in those circumstances roads could be quiet or really busy! So happy I came across this video thanks jack 😁

I’m from the Netherlands and I don’t know how it is in the UK, but here they seem so reluctant to let you pass, they literally nitpick every little detail of your driving, and it seems almost impossible to pass. Today i’ve failed for the third time :( I feel very shit, I always get panic attacks during tests and the shame that comes with failing is indescribable. Thank you though for this video, I appreciate it so much. Made me feel a lot better
