A prudent man on the other hand saves his money and use it for a worthy investment that benefits all. A begger, a waster, a greedy man, a selfish man will always see a prudent man as a stingy man. It takes a man of contentment to understand what prudence is all about. Peter Obi is a prudent man.

Of course there were benefits. People were paid as due, pensions were paid and he was able to turn around the education of his state etc. The other angle to it, is to ask yourself if other governors could have done better in their states if they were stingy and not engaging in personal aggrandisement.

Nigeria did it with GSM simcards. They should replicate the same to electricity, forex and petrol. Having a mobile phone was very scarce and expensive before the advent and privatization of GSM when networks like intercellular, starcomms etc where selling phones lines for N250k , but after introduction of GSM the lines initially sold for N50k before it now dropped to N100 or FREE. Govt should remove from the budget electricity, forex subsidy, petrol subsidy, tertiary education subsidy etc and divert this money to improved security . Lets face security squarely by employing and training One million graduates to guard all the 774 local govts in Nigeria, while privatizing most of the other sectors.
