Thanks for these vids, really enjoyed them, we’ve done Arvia around the med and loved it, Brittania around the canaries next and if we enjoy that we will try another one, thanks again
Great Vlog guys. Glad you talk about Southampton as I always drive from Manchester. I'm looking forward to your NCL Prima as I'm that next year. Just back from Alaska where the weather was great (Sorry Kev) Keep smiling guys....
Hi both, you both work hard to give your views, and help us with what to look out for. We go in may24 for 2 weeks, we are looking forward to it , with open mind, but Royal Caribbean independence of the seas, is back sailing from Southampton in 25 .We have been on iOS several times although more expensive,it was worth every Penny.so Arvia was cheaper but do you get what you pay for? We agree whole heartedly about the buffet on p & o. Awfull we were on Britannia last Easter, but Arvia has other venues,so keeping open mind. Again thankyou both
Hi guys, that was one thing that rattled me was people putting towels to reserve sunbeds, they have signs up everywhere saying if you leave your sunbed for 30 minutes then someone else can take it. They put it every day in the horizon magazine saying do not reserve sunbeds. It's a shame why people do that. Just another annoying thing
Loved all the video’s in this series.. We’re going on soon.. A bit worried as Hubby will not book Anything….so I don’t know what we’re going to do or where we’ll eat.. Hope he’s not going to get bored…I’m packing board games and cards lol… Thanks for all the info…👍🇬🇧
Great series of vlogs. On Arvia cruise before you. We lucky very few children and not too crowded. Really liked 710 club managed every show in there. Just got off Ventura 5 night cruise and found MDR on there far better quality food and service than Arvia and Iona. Crows nest is the best bar on all the p&o ships , peaceful during the day but a great space at night. One more Arvia vlog to watch . Keep up the good work.
With the afternoon turn down we ask our cabin steward on the first day to leave 2 sets of clean towels when they service the room in the morning. They are more than happy to do this and it means we have dry towels for our shower in the evening after a day of sunbathing/sightseeing.
Looking forward to trying Arvia in March. Appreciate your honest review. I could be wrong and apologies if I am but I could definitely tell you had a better experience on Princess just from the tone of the videos, I can see you did enjoy Arvia though overall 😊.
Ive just made a brew and im ready to sit down and watch. Also about to rewatch your virtuosa videos as its 34 days until my partner and i embark for the first time! 😊 Thank you, your videos are a great balance of tips, advice, your personalities..... and bread! 😊
Hi , when in the crows nest did you feel like you had to buy a drink to sit in there ? Also at the sunset bar could you collect food and take it to wat at this bar in the mornings ? Thanks for all the info we go in march
Hi regarding the crows nest, no we didn't feel pressure at all to only sit in there if buying a drink. We never brought one in the day. We didn't tend to sit in there much at night but we did buy a drink in the evening if we did. And yes you could take your food and sit out the back
Just returned from 2 weeks on Arvia ( sept 3rd to 17th).Booked it because we loved Iona, Its not the ship for us. Found it to be too noisy and busy (5450 passengers) with long waits for main dining rooms. Fortunately we had booked a balcony cabin, usually go inside, so made use of it during day. For a balcony cabin the space was limited, the sleeping area was quite cramped ( similar to your inside cabin) , then there was a large sofa bed seating area then the balcony. We enjoyed the ports, your videos on La Coruna and Valencia were very helpful. The finger painter must have moved on as he wasnt in the square, the polar bear was!!! We took an excursion from Cadiz to Seville which was really good. Similar thoughts to you on the evening entertainment, could only get in the 7/10 club twice as fully booked, but did get fed up of Mrs Stampy Feet. We also found the crows nest to be nice and quiet during the day, also found a quiet corner in the skydome( not school holidays). Looking forward to your NCL videos as going to one of the countries next year. Did you enjoy the holiday or not, you didnt say!
Hi Elaine thanks for sharing your experience with us. Obviously we mentioned the things we liked and didn't but overall as much as we had a lovely time we probably wouldn't go back on again. Too many other companies and ships to try with new destinations to visit . Currently on the NCL Prima and very impressed so far
We have just come off Arvia we had a lovely time on a fabulous ship ,the one thing that annoyed us though was when in Brodies we asked for a hot chocolate at 10am we were told it would take too long to prepare and " Time is Money "we were told by the bar steward !! Like you we are not drinkers and didn't think it was unreasonable request esp at 10am .Love watching your videos ,just one thing when in Valencia we didn't find the finger painting man Enjoy Norwegia Prima and look forward to your videos on that
That's really strange as a hot chocolate takes the same time as a latte. They just steam the milk and chocolate powder in a jug. It only takes a few minutes.
Hi, we are currently booked on Arvia for 07 july 2024. We going to do a balcont cabin for 4 which includs our 2 18 year olds. we are struggling with the amount of guests on board and the crowds everywhere. we have sailed on Aurora which is doing Norway cruises in summer 2024.This is a smaller ship with 1800 odd passengers and over 18s only, we are considering changing as we are worried it will be busy everywhere on board. You have also been on Brittania and Iona, are these like arvia in the summer.
Enjoyed hearing the review of this cruise, Stacey and Kevin. I'm always surprised by the prices you get. We paid about the same for the winter, per month in the Airbnb we rented. (I prepay) But, that doesn't include food! Add in multiple trips to the grocery store and we tend to eat out, once a day and it adds up to about the same. (I tend to write this off as we would do the same things at home) And the food we've seen you eating that's included in the price of the cruise looks wonderful. I'm no chef! I don't think we'd do the Specialty Restaurants much. Some fun things to do on a cruise too (would love to go to an Escape Room) and fantastic ports to explore! We'd even like the breakfast buffet. Beats the stale cellophane wrapped muffins and crunchy donuts we get in our hotel lobbies when we travel! We enjoyed the overall review.
Hi Dave and Kathy hope you're both ok and thanks for watching as always. A quick question do you still use your Instagram. Was going to send you a message but not sure If you use it 🤔 😁
We do Stacey and Kev. We don't go often though. I know we should, but it sometimes seems like there's enough time in a day. We check it regularly and look forward to seeing your message@@OneCouplesAdventure
Ah OK we are away at the moment but will message as soon as we can. We were just wondering if we would cross paths next year but we'll message you the details when we are home 😁
We always drop our bags at the drop off and then park at west Quay and leisurely wander back to the terminal. We take a taxi back once we disembark. Your holiday offered amazing value for money for food, travel and accommodation for a bit over £50 each. Pretty incredible 😊
Hi Kev & Stace - really appreciate your balanced review so glad we can rely on you for an honest appraisal keep up the good work With you on the entertainment stakes & the number of passengers which would not suit me personally Do you prefer Princess to P&O? Just got back from a Celebrity cruise Have you tried them? A little expensive but quite different from P&O Look forward to your next trip if you plan to share on U Tube Take care for now
Hi Dave thanks for your comment. And yes we preferred Princess for sure. Also really enjoying NCL who we are cruising with now. Celebrity is on the list at some point. We've done 3 P&O cruises in the past year and enjoyed them but are looking at getting out to the states more next year or trying other cruise lines
Loved the videos. We took our first cruise since before the dreaded lurgy earlier the year. Cunard seem to be same with regard to sail away parties which we missed. We’ve booked Arvia in 2025 so can’t wait!! And my wife has pointed out we sailed on the same day 25th June. 😂
When I go on a cruise I’ll make sure to check if I have to make reservation’s for anything. That’s sad for the people that don’t know. Really great review. Thank you for all the tips.
I found the crew and app were c••p on Arvia (maiden voyage)Security treated me like a criminal when I beeped the scanner due to knee replacement. However it was a lovely ship but ,I feel a lot a issues need to be addressed. Some of the entertainment was brilliant but some were not to standard. Especially the band Pulse which I thought the singers were very poor,I did not like the space show I thought it was very boring, although my youngest grandson loved it. Mission Control in my opinion was way overpriced and not worth the money Not very impressive to me . Crows nest was lovely place but like other places onboard the cocktail music was far too loud. I would go back onboard for another cruise but I think I will wait a while until things improve.Happy cruising to you both
There’s several ways to cruise.. cheap as chips way getting inside cabin and cutting the corners or get a balcony or even a suit … but you get what you pay for.. I did an inside cabin and never again .. far to small .. alway get an balcony cabin if you can as it makes a world of difference.. more people are cruising now and you have shown a lot off ways to save money.. but cheap is not always best..
Each to their own. We always say it's up to you how you spend your own money. Some people like 1 splurged out holiday or some people like less extravagant and more often. Nobody is right or wrong it's what you want as an Individual

im the person that will move the towels if they reserve them and arent there

Thanks again guys have a great time on the NCL
Also when I was on Britannia they were trialing the horizon magazine on the my holiday web page so you had it on your phone and that was really handy
Yet another great video it's really help like I said watched a few know but keep them coming as so nice to here a honest video 👌👏
Have p&o changed this soft drinks policy? I can’t see it on their website and I go on this boat in a month!
With the afternoon turn down we ask our cabin steward on the first day to leave 2 sets of clean towels when they service the room in the morning. They are more than happy to do this and it means we have dry towels for our shower in the evening after a day of sunbathing/sightseeing.
Found your channel and love it one thing I love you tell it as it is as I am house bound Ilike seeing the world

Yes we did enjoy it but definitely preferred Princess
Why can’t the ship have people sign up for the sun beds and put a reserved sign on them then remove the sign when there’s no one on them.

Thanks so much really appreciate it 😁
Would you prefer the MSc to P N O, we’ve always done MSC but welcome your thoughts!
We prefer MSC as there is more to do on the ships for us when you have the long sea days. Bowling, ziplining etc 😁
On Iona you pre book on the ‘app’ now. We loved it.

Hi Britannia we did at Easter for 5 nights and although busy it didn't feel too over crowded, Iona wasn't in the school holidays so was less crowded

Great videos. Really helped us, as we have just been on Arvia.
Thanks Andy, did you have a nice time
We had a great time, thanks. Your videos were amazing. Look forward to seeing the next ship you visit
I was just on the Azura and was very disappointed in the food, service etc. I'm heading back to Princess in 4 weeks and can hardly wait
We loved Princess 😁

Take a picture of the magazine that’s what I did the night before. I liked the web page, the sample menus didn’t work that was annoying.
Been on both Iona and Arvia wouldn’t go on Arvia again .

Hi thanks for watching and thanks for writing about your experience too 👍
There’s several ways to cruise.. cheap as chips way getting inside cabin and cutting the corners or get a balcony or even a suit … but you get what you pay for..
