Thank you for the video. Just want to add that I think for structural applications, other steel connections may also be used. (e.g. backcuts in the beams to get T-joints rather than mitter butt joints)
Can you assign different material to each structural member? Example Bottom beams A36 and Top beams maybe A53? Also can you just bring in structural parts from the design library and constrain that way?
Yes you can. There are two options: 1. In your Task Pane > SolidWorks Content > Weldment Profiles. This contains allot of extra Standards with Profiles. This downloads a ZIP file, which you can unzip on the same location as the Weldment Profiles that were included in the installation of SolidWorks. But I recommend that you make your on database. Because if you deinstall SolidWorks and upgrade to an higher version, you don't lose that location. The "Solidworks" Profiles will be lost if you deinstall SolidWorks. 2. Make your own profiles. You can do this by make a new part. In that part you sketch your profile. After you finished your sketch, save the file to a lib feat part while your sketch is selected. At the the file to your Weldment Profiles location. The one from SolidWorks or your own made location. You can add a file location at > settings > System settings > File locations > Weldments Profiles. There you can add and delete file locations for Weldment profiles. If you add a file location for Weldment Profiles, it's important to keep the folder structure. For example: Weldment Profiles > ISO > Square Tube* > File *= You can also work with configurations. This way you wouldn't have to make a third folder for the type of profile. So this way you can make a file called: Square Tube. Which contains a couple of configurations, for the different sizes Hope this helps

Also, how do we do bolted connections?
