We sin every single day, true Christians do still sin. The arrogance and pride in thinking you don't sin, is a SIN. We don't want to sin, but we do. Paul wrestled with sin, and he met Jesus in person. Romans 7:14-25. “We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. [c] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. 21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!”
We all sin, but us true Christians are saved because we believe the Gospel in 1Cor. 15:3-4, also Romans 10:9,13, John 3:16, Eph. 2:8-9. A born-again believer, John 3:3-7, becomes a new creation 2Cor. 5:17. “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Man will not commit the sins of Revelation 21:8, if they are a true believer.
We won't murder, steal, bare false witness, beat our wife or girlfriend, etc. but we will sin, because of the original sin that is in all human beings, the sin of the flesh. (Greed, Jealousy, Pride, Anger, etc.) Only Jesus Christ never sinned, 2Cor 5:21. Just put your faith in Jesus Christ only and ask for your sins to be forgiven. Believe in the GOSPEL, do your best to walk with Christ, not to be Christ, because no one could ever be Christ. Jesus is the only one who never knew sin. Live your life happy, knowing that you are forgiven, and looking for that blessed hope, after all Jesus Christ died for our PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE sins.
    God Bless,

Thank you for writing this out. After listening to this teaching, I was having despair at my sinfulness. I’m always trying to do better, but JESUS is who I trust and look to. I’ve had family members pass on. If I look at their lives, they weren’t perfect by any means. They struggled with personalities that were set up in their childhood. I mean, who doesn’t have sin? Jesus is our only hope!

A true believer will sin he or she might struggle with different sins at diffrent seasons in the walk and life with Jesus. But when they do sin the Holy spirit will immediately convict them. They will go to there knees confess thier sin to God and God will forgive and restore them 1John 1:9. It not about you being perfect. It is about what Christ did on the cross for you. So a true believer will always repent and try to be Christ like. Romans 8:1 therefore there now is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Praise Jesus our beautiful Savior we don't have to be perfect just have a broken and contrite spirit.

calibercoffee, Let us not be fooled! We do not want to be one of those who will be turned away on that day when men stand before God. The way is narrow, and the road is straight, and FEW be that find it.
Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Verse 22 MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Verse 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matt 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it.
Our sin has set us all on the road to hell and no amount of good will fix the sin we have done. We have ALL sinned. It is not about the type of sin or how much sin. It is about the fact that we have sinned. For that reason we all need a Savior.

If we want forgiveness for our sin and peace with God. If we want to escape eternal hell. If we want to go to heaven we must understand the following. We DO NOT get saved (go to heaven), get right with God, forgiven, by being good, by being religious, by just believing in God, by praying a prayer, being baptized, asking or accepting Jesus into our hearts, accepting Jesus as our personal Saviour, confessing our sins, joining a church, cleaning up our lives, doing penance, taking the bread and the wine, or doing all these things accumulative.
Salvation is a gift that is given to those who repent and come to faith. Eph. 2:8,9

Salvation takes repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Acts 20:21. testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Make no mistake. We cannot be a friend of Christ and remain a rebel against God and unless we repent we remain a rebel. The word repent, from the Greek word “metanoia”, means a change of mind or direction.
God is not receiving those who almost or kind of repents. It is like the word About-face which is a 180 degree turn. We turn from not wanting God fully in our lives to willfully surrendering to Him to lead our lives.

When any person comes to the place where they are broken over their sin toward God to the point that they want to get right with God no matter what it will cost them they are in a state/spirit of repentance toward God. Luke 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. The repentant heart would walk away from anything or any one to get right with God.
We then take that willing repentant heart we have towards God and place it on the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Master, because He paid the price for our sin, and that becomes faith. At that moment God’s grace through Christ is freely applied to us and we are born again, saved from eternal hell and sealed by the Spirit so that we will never again return to the practice of sinning. 1John 3:9,10.

Our first command after salvation is to be baptized.
Repentance of sin is the result of the new birth/salvation and will be part of the sanctification process and our new life with the Lord Jesus Christ, Eph 2:10. While we may sin from time to time after salvation it will never again be our practice 2Cor. 5:17, 1John 3:9,10.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

REV. 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
It all boils down to are we sorry/broken enough over our sins against God and do we want to get our hearts right with Him or not. Let us be sure that tomorrow does not belong to us.

Repentance involves confessing that all sin, especially ones we fall into, like lust and greed are wrong. The Greek word for "repent" is metanoia, meaning "a change of mind." We have the Holy Spirit to chastise us and defeat the power of the flesh and replace it with the power of the Spirit. This is a tough and honest teaching, but we need to hear it.

A difficult but necessary message in the world we live in. If we stumble, and we do, ask Jesus for forgiveness and he promises to forgive, but if we walk in sin then God will scourge us until we repent, unless we don’t belong to him. We reap what we sow, so walk in the spirit and put to death the sins of the flesh. For many are called but few are chosen. Matthew 22:14

Truly sad to see so many in error. Projecting things onto others that are not true because of what they experience after coming to Christ not knowing that the work of God is still striving and working in them. But through ignorance and a puffing up pride, as well as religious vanity and knowledge, will not allow God to complete the work in them for they have not humbled themselves but have found an excuse for sin, a justification for when they repeatedly fall without end. Peter and John talk about such individuals in their letters...
People all over want to interpret living in sin based on their own experiences rather than the compressive completeness of the letters that the apostles left behind. Many cherry pick the verses out that suit their theology and therefore justify a perpetual struggle of serving sin, feeling remorse, wash and repeat cycle.

    • @Miguel09z
      @Miguel09z Місяць тому +2

@@ElsieLyn can't cherry pick a verse and then apply an interpretation like that. That's how errors are born. You meant well, but that is not correct from that verse. The context when reading the entire thing is John speaking about people who believe they have not sinned and or have no sin on their account. So John is talking about them and how if they will simply confess their sins, then God will forgive them and cleanse them.
Your application of the verse you picked is not pertaining to Jaime's comment. Being worried is a sign of the spirit trying to convict you, that's one of the reasons it is there to turn you away from sin. If one is genuinely struggling, then the spirit is at work trying to get them to stop. That is why videos like this keep getting posted to help people to understand to turn from sin and heed the spirit that is striving within them. A continual habit of sinning is a bad sign and one that needs God's intervention as well as the harkening of the individual towards God. This is why Paul even says in 1 Cor 9: 27 about being a castaway if he should succumb to serving the lust of his flesh.
24Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

    • @Miguel09z

Doubting salvation is a sign that the spirit is still at work in you, but do not fear the feeling. Embrace it and humble yourself before God. Heed the spirit and let God take the reigns, lean and trust on him in the times where you are tempted, grow and develop by growing in faith. Let love reign, for God is love. If you love others as yourself and love God, then there should be no fear or concern because your heart won't condemn you, neither will God for this reason... 1 John 4: 16 - 18.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

@@Miguel09zI see what you're saying and I agree, however if I'm understanding the op's predicament correctly, they do struggle with their sin, and do appear to be convicted by the Spirit.
I agree with you that the entire context of scripture should be looked at before any claims, but not so much at the risk of causing a believer to stumble.
If we, as followers of Jesus, see another believer stumbling I personally feel convicted to strengthen their faith so they can go about their business of letting the Spirit continue to sanctify them.
I don't mean to judge your intentions, honestly I'm basing my opinion on how hard your explanation hit me at first. Thank God that I can always turn to Jesus for comfort when I'm dealing with my own struggles.

Sorry. I respect this guy and enjoy his teaching on every other subject, but he’s wrong about this one. This man is sins, so do I. You can truly believe and still sin. I truly believe and so does this man. We’re both saved. I one million percent promise you that belief in Jesus is what saves you but you don’t just stop sinning the moment you believe. I’ve been watching him a long time and this is the first time he’s been flat out wrong. He’s still a sinner because he’s still a human. Period. End of story. Some sinners will probably rank higher than him in heaven because he taught wrong, because he held prejudice in his heart for sinners, assuming he wasn’t among them. I’m not a person that enjoys this but I had to point this out. Jesus specifically says believe in me and have eternal life. He made that statement simple on purpose because the formula is simply belief. Just believe and you’re saved. If you truly believe, you’ll try hard not to sin but you still will. This man was wrong and I couldn’t just let this go without making sure the truth is presented here too.

Do not preclude G-d's forgiving and loving nature. Everybody, Christians and non-Christians all live in sin and we are condemned to die. But we must be humble and admit that we are weak and cannot resist temptations. That is why Christ taught us to pray 'and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil...' because He knows we are no match against the devil. Whenever we sin, confess it to Him and ask for forgiveness. If He could forgive a hardened criminal on the cross, why not any one of us? I have faith in His righteousness and justness. He even requires us to forgive anyone who sins against us 70 times 7 (490) times. I have faith that He will forgive me a million times more!

@elizabethdixon2413 -Every believer in Jesus Christ is still a sinner, it doesn’t matter who you are. When Jesus Christ died on the cross, he died for everybody’s past, present, and future sins. Everybody’s born in sin, right from Adam and Eve, so it doesn’t matter if you are born again, you will still sin. You will not commit outward sin (Murder, Theft, Abusers of Women, Bare False Witness, etc.) because the Holy Spirit will not allow it by transforming you into a new creation, 2Cor. 5:17. “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
You will commit fleshly sin (Pride, Lust, Envy, Jealousy, Greed, Anger etc.) because we are born in sin, born of the flesh. When I say new creation, I don’t mean you will become a completely different person right away. (Some do) You will still be you, but have a better understanding of right and wrong, and the wanting to be a better person and follow Christ. This is the Holy Spirit in you, because once you truly believe Christ is your saviour, you are baptized with the Holy Spirit. You said you have been a believer for 3 years now, just look at what you have done through the Holy Spirit being in you, you overcame your drug and alcohol addiction. Give thanks to Jesus everyday and stay in His word, and you will see your behavior improve.
Once the Holy Spirit enters a new believer He works on changing your heart, and trust me it can be a journey for some people. A lot of believers and even some Pastors say you will know a true Christian by their fruit or works and they like to quote Matthew 7:16-20. If you read verse 15 first, it tells us we will know false teachers and prophets by their fruits or works, not true Christians. I was a Christian for 15 years before I was able to quit smoking, finally I did. Please don't think your not saved, because just by you wanting to change your behavior and that you sound worried about your salvation, tells me you are saved. Give yourself a break and always remember Jesus Christ loves you and died on the cross for your PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE sins. Read what Paul says in Romans 7:14-25, and then read Romans 10:9.
      God Bless,

I agree that a message like this can make one question their salvation, but the fact that it worries you at all is a really good sign. If you were not concerned, then you really would have a problem so take comfort in that. As far as battling sin, I'm 57 and have been fighting all my life. I suspect I will be until the day the Lord takes me or comes to get me. Either way works for me. I really don't understand why some things are harder to kick than others. Just always remember, fear is not of the Lord and he hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and of a sound mind. Worry for nothing, but by prayer and supplication (humility) with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Just ask that he take the desire from you, in essence give it to the Lord, then with patience, in faith, wait upon the Lord to act in your behalf. Just because you don't see instant results doesn't mean the Lord is not listening or acting. Usually, I find that the struggle is meant to work things out in my life that the Lord wishes to purge or correct. It usually centers around my attitude or emotions.

Here is what is required, of not just those who are the "chosen ones" (Matt 24;22, 24,31), for "the heavenly calling" (Heb 3:1), those "sealed (or anointed).......with the promised holy spirit" (Eph 1:13, 14), as imperfect but the 144,000 "Jews" (Rev 7;4-8, in which these "Jews" are Jews and Gentiles, see Rom 11:11, 12, 17) "declared righteous" members of God's heavenly Kingdom, its "holy ones".(Dan 7:18), but also the "other sheep" who will "inherit the earth" once it is transformed into a paradise for "meek" ones to enjoy forever.(Ps 37:11, 29; Matt 5:5; Luke 23:43; John 10:16)
At Revelation 14, there is seen "the Lamb (Jesus Christ) standing on (symbolic) Mount Zion (or "Jerusalem above", Gal 4:26; "heavenly Jerusalem", Heb 12:22), and with him 144,000 who have his name and the name of his Father (Jehovah God, see Ex 6:3; Isa 12:2, KJV) written on their foreheads."
"I heard a sound coming out of heaven like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder; and the sound that I heard was like singers who accompany themselves by playing on their harps. And they are singing what seems to be a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders (see Rev 15:3; Ex 15:1), and no one was able to master that song except the 144,000, who have been bought from the earth."(see Rev 5:9, 10)
"These are the ones who did NOT defile themselves with (symbolic) women (or the prostitute religions of the world who commit "sexual immorality" with the political leaders, being very intimate, Rev 17:1, 2, with Babylon the Great as their "mother", the world empire of false religion, Rev 17:5, with Christendom a major part); in fact, they are virgins (being spiritually clean, not tainted with false religious doctrines such as "the Holy Trinity", hell fire, immortality of the soul, purgatory, the cross, Christmas, Easter, birthdays, etc)."
"These are the ones who keep following the Lamb no matter where he goes (being morally and spiritually clean, see 1 Cor 6:9-11; 2 Cor 6:17-7:1, being "no part of the world" with its deadly, dirty and divisive politics, John 15:19). These were bought from among mankind as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb (or the first from among imperfect loyal ones to receive everlasting life, as "joint-heirs with Christ", Rom 8:17), and NO DECEIT was found in their mouths; they are WITHOUT BLEMISH."(Rev 14:1-4)
These are the ones seen at Luke 10:25-28: "Now look ! a man versed in the Law stood up to test him and said: “Teacher, what do I need to do to inherit everlasting life ?” He said to him: “What is written in the Law ? How do you read ?”
"In answer he said (quoting Deut 6:5): “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole strength and with your whole mind’ and (quoting Lev 19:18) ‘your neighbor as yourself.’” He said to him: “You answered correctly; keep doing this and you will get life.”

Before I got saved I tried to do good works out of FEAR of going to hell. Now that I am saved I do good works out of LOVE for my savior and not out of FEAR. Which would you rather have? A child who loves you and does good so they don’t disappoint you, or a child who does good out of fear so you don’t punish them?
You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the law; you have fallen from grace. Galatians 5:4
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy he saved us. Titus 3:5
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1John 1:8
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:Philippians 3:9
Salvation is a gift. It’s not a gift if you have to pay for it.

Smoking has nothing to do with morality or immorality. Would I then say to someone go and smoke as much as they want? No, of course not. Its not a healthy habit. Its merely a habit that has a lot of negative consequences. But it has nothing to do with one's salvation.

There's only one sin in all of time and history that guarantees us eternal separation from God. That sin is denial of God. That's it. There's nothing else that separates us from him eternally. Everything else doesn't matter. Whenever a pastor teaches some sort of doctrine that takes away from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins, then that pastor does not deserve to be listened to or respected. The sacrifice that Jesus made for us is all that we need. It's not about what we do and never will be. It's about what Jesus did for us. Any other teaching or doctrine that is different from that is false.

He was not stealing and committing crimes in jail, he was stealing and committing crimes before jail. During his time in jail he could not possibly continue the sins he was committing that got him there. He, like many inmates today, go through repentance whilst in jail. When it came to the day of the crucifixion, based on his reaction, he knew of Christ. Obviously he must have heard of him while incarcerated and knew the scriptures amd thus believed. While these things are not written down, all it takes is use of simple God given reasoning and logical thinking to deduce this. Its not a mental acknowledgement and profession that saves a person, though it is a "beginning step" for everyone. Your understanding of what "perfect" means is not the "perfect" mentioned in the passages that speak of it.

Cereal_Killer, yes the message is totally true.
Let us not be fooled!
