Meconium is no joke. One of our friends babies had meconium pass during labor and he ended up being in the nicu for almost a month because he inhaled it. It can kill babies so if they see it they will do everything they can to get the baby out as quickly as possible. Thats probably why they switched so quickly from following your birth plan to throwing it out the window. Baby Judah needed to be born before he inhaled meconium. Glad you guys are okay! Congrats on your little blessing.
Being on your back slows delivery progression and increases likelihood of tearing because you are working against gravity. It is an unfortunate habit of doctors/midwives/nurses to put you on your back when things get intense as a control mechanism. It sounds like they did not educate either you or Paul about meconium in the amniotic fluid. They could have explained the gravity of the situation and need to increase pushing and efforts without putting you on your back. Side lying is a better option or letting you stay on hands and knees. I'm sorry they were not respectful of your birthplan Morgan! You really took it in stride. Praise God for your health and the health of baby Judah!

I think the reason Paul wasn’t prepared for the lack of blood transfusion was because the blood loss in natural labor is not the same as blood loss in c section. Don’t know the science, but if he was informed about the entire process of natural labor from a scientific perspective, it would make sense. I’m no doctor but that’s my guess. Anyway, I love love love all the details. Thanks for sharing!!!

But we praise God for your natural delivery and that things are getting better now! I had my first baby girl three months ago, and it was a rough one week in the hospital. I used your encouraging words and verses, Morgan! I laminated them and placed them on the wall:) thank you so much for those again! May God richly bless your family and guide your every step in this new journey! :)
Birth is just so unpredictable. I just had my fourth, first home birth, and it was very difficult. I do think that we idealize birth sometimes, I know that I did when I imagined what my home birth would look like. It was my most difficult birth and my most difficult recovery. I hemorrhaged and he was malpositioned. We've had four children in five years and we will be using NFP to give me a couple years of recovery 😊 I was reminded to be humble going into my next birth. My third was very empowering but this one was rather traumatic. Women are incredible, truly the crown of creation.
I'll always appreciate the video of Paul reading the letter he wrote to you before he met you! Lots of good memories between then and now too, and I'm proud of you for being so in tune of what works best for not only your walk with God, but also as parents who want to be present mentally and emotionally. Excited for your next chapter, even if we aren't updated on how it goes :)
I’m happy for the people who say going from 1-2 babies is easier than 0-1, but for sure not the case for me either. It does get better, God is the one who gives the growth. From personal experience, lean on Christ and his forgiveness. Thats all you can do. At some point things feel easier but there are challenges in every season.
So excited for you guys and for your family! Been here since 2017, and not going anywhere. To see how the weight is lifted off of you both is refreshing! So nice to see UA-camrs putting their family, marriage and real life first, before the expectations from the other side of the camera ❤️
I, for one, am really excited for this new chapter! I enjoy the day in the life content a lot 💛 praying this switch will be a smooth transition for y’all:)
You guys have been such a blessing and I have loved watching your vids over the years. I always have a good giggle so thank you for the great content. Excited for what's to come!
Morgan I so feel for you. I also had a 2nd degree tear with my vbac. Hoping you do a follow up video on your recovery process! And Paul, we’ll follow you guys along on this new journey and hope it’s the right move for the channel! Love you guys 💕
Some of us have literally grown up with you guys! So we ain't going anywhere 🎉❤ When I started watching your videos, (to practice English haha) I was single, now I'm 2 weeks from being married!!!! And if Lord willing, I have kids, we will be watching the Pickleball Guys or the story time videos and all ❤😅
Honestly these past months I really felt Morgan kinda diaconnecting from youtube and being less "thrilled to be here " than usual, so I just think that this is the right moment to take a step back. There's a lot of new things you guys can try, yall are still young and creqtive and I'm sure it'll bring you more joy. It's really a shame to pressure yourself to continue something you no longer feel a calling for Anyways, apart from that, great to see you guys ❤️
Ya’ll should have done a birth story seperate! Paul interrupting you was too much 😂 Or maybe we just needed a planned out story with planned interjections from Paul! Regardless it was great hearing it!!
That is what birth is. She handled it great. There is no "movie labor type screaming" only grunting because of her exhaustion. She did great and you're a lucky man. Please do a video with no interjections. Can't wait for the vasectomy vlog. ✌🏼
I’m glad y’all are going in a direction that suits your family and actual lifestyle, just think that’s when the best content is made when the vlogger/Yter is genuine in their content and if children is the central theme in your life then it makes total sense to make it apart of your work, you can’t escape it, and you need to make money so might as well mesh them together. The people that get it get it, and the people that don’t dont😊
Glad to see you're doing well and adjusting to life with two little ones. Exciting things ahead for you! That is one thing that has kept me from doing youtube. It's great when you have someone to do it with because you have that support when haters start piping up but I think i'd eventually struggle mentally if I was taking all that on myself
Even tho I never want kids, i really enjoyed the birth story😂😂 i love the banter while telling the story, i can just imagine Paul freaking out and Morgan is just like, this is birth!! But I can understand the anxiety after the first birth experience😭 so glad it's going well. ❤
Bless you and your growing family! 🎉 I am excited for the new adventures to come. Well that’s life anyways right? Always new seasons. Thanks for sharing the news and whats to come. Praying joy, favor, and wisdom 🙏🏻
With my Life mostly happening offline (sort of) and my first channel being all over the place, I have no room to talk. It sounds like a great opportunity for Paul, so it should be fun to see where that path goes for y'all. Congratulations on the baby. I hope you can find the balance between featuring your kids in some capacity without focusing on them too much (there are a lot of seriously sinful adults out there). Many blessings to you and your family.
26:46 min mark lmao it's true! I was definitely screaming blood curdling cries! I literally felt my vagina rip apart. Mind you I agreed to have an episiotomy because I was scared to feel the skin rip and honestly I wish they topically numb me again next time (without the cut) lord willing I have another baby. Thank God it was all good as soon as baby's head came out. I also wish I could do perineal massages so it wouldn't feel this way.
Congratulations! Just to encourage Paul for next time, don’t hold back when it comes to being an advocate for Morgan during labor and delivery. I’m glad everything went well during this birth. ❤
Will miss your old content but do understand this time in your lives holds many demands. I have no idea what pickle ball is LOL it will be fun to watch the new programming so continue on good people!
I wrote out my 3 births on my blog & hope to make a video. B#1: Back labor contractions got epidural, labored on my back, tore 2nd degree. Fully compliant, no problems from staff. B#2: Front labor contractions, no epidural, labored on 4s, 1st degree tear. Nurses wanted to force me on my back, told me quiet down, threatened to put me on my back, offered epidural as I'm pushing... B#3: Front labor contractions, no epidural, labor on 4s, no tear, baby was born in triage & the nurses there were so nice & let me give birth without demanding anything of me ONLY encouraged me. Didn't coach me or anything. DON'T LET THEM BULLY YOU.
I think it’s a good idea. Honestly, I’m getting tired of everyone just only having opinions on other peoples videos or all the stuff going on or judging everyone for everything they do. This will probably be better!
So excited for you guys and your new adventure! I’ve been watching you guys for years and years and have so appreciated all of your wisdom and insight. And even some personal encouragement from Morgan on instagram. Really looking forward to seeing your new vlogs! ❤️ I’m also very into pickleball, my husband and I play all the time and are wanting to get into playing some more tournaments. So if you ever come to the Pacific Northwest to play maybe we’ll run into each other 😂 love you guys!
No having paul there with his perspective was also great 😂😂 the momentum was fine 😂👍🏼 I’m actually really glad he was in this birth story! But yes Morg, if you want to do a birth story on your channel, I would LOVE that!!
I definitely witness to this pivot being led by the Lord to bring you & your family into a place that only you guys can fill. Excited for you guys and will be watching with anticipation! Also.... we'll see if that's really it for you two having kids 😉lol
So good to have y’all back. The more details the better when you’re telling the birth story. But I know that you meant well, Paul😊 Also, do not be hard on yourself for the moments of feeling scared or slightly traumatised. It is not a light thing to experience what you went through with the first birth.
Exactly, regardless of what videos show his experience is still valid and mothers themselves often have a different memory over time of how they felt sometimes not but it’s all valid and all a massive experience!! ❤
I missed you guys. When I saw bittersweet I thought you were quitting youtube altogether. I'm glad you guys will still add some current events commentary. I actually want to do more videos on that myself.I really enjoyed the videos with that. The pickelball thing is interesting too. 😊
Paul and Morgan, do you have ANY idea how many people panicked yesterday afternoon when we scrolled through our UA-cam apps and saw "This is Bittersweet" as a headline and thought you were just going off the air? You two love to give us all heart attacks, don't you! (I'm joking, trying to bring a laugh here) In all seriousness, I think this is a good business move and a natural evolution for you guys. In essence, the show is getting away from social issues and so on, which you can only do for so long. There aren't THAT many social issues to discuss and new content is the key to being successful in the long term. Vlogging is very popular and different and it's a really new way to connect with your audience spiritually. Professional pickleball? Pickles come in a jar as kosher dills in the refrigerated section as far as I'm concerned. But, as a side hustle, there's a lot of potential for passive income while keeping content creation as your primary job and there isn't any fault in that. There are very few things, politically and spiritually, that I see eye to eye with you guys on, if anything. As a couple, now with a family, I still enjoy your content and still love you guys. The only thing I'd really say as far as this new direction goes is don't completely lose sight of social and spiritual issues. Weaving them into family life vlogs would actually be quite an interesting idea, for what it's worth (but, then again, nobody asked my opinion). Cheers! Glad to see you guys back, glad to see that having your second child was a considerably smoother process than the first, and glad to see Morgan's doing a lot better.
I’m not peaceing out. Y’all are my favorite family. You’re kind of like my other kids in a way. Except I can’t call and text y’all lol. Congrats Paul. You’ll crush it!
So weirdly enough i don’t remember how I found you but I’m sure it’s through my other Christian influencers. Today is my first time watching a “you” video & I panicked after hearing you’re leaving. However after staying & hearing what you’re planning I’m VERY excited!!! My favorite Christian influencers are “family vloggers”. I’m excited though to go back & watch your older vids. ❤❤❤ I’m also excited to watch this transition. ❤❤❤ Filming the kids & having “dirt” on them is part of the fun of being a parent. HOWEVER, as they grow you may want to save some of those for private reasons & not humiliate them on the internet, I don’t that’s your way though. Praise God for editing!! 🙌🏻❤️😂
Interesting that y'all were told the transition from 1 to 2 babies would be easy... I was told from a mother of 5 that the transition from 1 to 2 babies was the HARDEST... & then it slowly gets somewhat easier the more you have.
You two have been a breath of fresh air, seeing younger Christians who are devoted to the truth as defined by God. I totally understand your decision, as someone who was very active on Facebook, and then quit a little over two years ago. Yes, I miss many of the connections, but getting off of Facebook opened me up for more time to focus on the things of God. I pray God's blessings upon your future endeavors.
Agreed upon dependant upon the childs tempermant. My 1st child seemed like a piece of cake, 2nd child was more difficult ❤ love em both so much... but completely understand. You got this friends !!
Also ive been here through the pivots(dating-->cultural). Still in much support for you all ❤ appreciate knowing there is another biblical living family out there 🙌
Honestly good for y'all for doing what you need to do for yourselves and your family. May God continue blessing all the works of your hands and guide you in this pivot
Birthing a baby is hard!!! Who cares what noises come out lol I don't think anyone who hasn't had a baby before should say anything about anything having to do with how a birth should be lol
I'm really loving the new direction your going with in the family vlogs. I will definitely be watching. God bless you paul and Morgan and your family 😊❤
A good Birth Dula would have explained to both you and Paul all the stats and processes that are going on while they’re happening to the spell fear. That stinks that you had to go with a back up that doesn’t seem like she knew how to do all of that. Also, you can say NO to anything you want at the hospital, they cannot make you birth on your back. But a lot of people don’t know that they can just say no.
They can't make you, but sadly there are a lot of doctors and nurses who believe there is only one way and want full control of the situation (aka easy access that you only get in the back position) so if you stand your ground you become the "difficult" patient, the one that "doesn't listen" and is "unreasonable" which sadly can impact the quality of care you get. It sucks.
I personally love the idea of family/life vlogs compared to the reaction to hot topics. My wife and I both don't care for any of the hot topic stuff and honestly most of it we don' t know anything about until your videos. I can't completely understand the feeling, but I can understand the pressure/apprehension/anxiety that is lifted from you guys. I had that when we rented out our old house for a year or got rid of an old car that was causing us problems. It's something that's always just in the back of your head, and when you finally get rid of it the weight is lifted off. It's not just mental but physical as well and affects both aspects of your health. I have considered before doing UA-cam vloging for homesteading around our farm, but the amount it would change my day-to-day and every moment of my psyche is just not worth the added nearly constant stress it would cause. This is a good move for you guys I think. Please take care of yourselves before you take care of us! WHY WOULD THEY MAKE YOU LABOR ON YOUR BACK?!? That boggles my mind and makes me mad. Never would happen at our local hospital. The nurses are all trained here with spinning babies program. It's not a natural or healthy position to labor in. And if they didn't follow your birth plan I would be talking to someone at the hospital. Even the 2nd degree tear isn't uncommon and shouldn't take an hour to stich up. Sounds like they didn't entirely know what they were doing over there. Very frustrating indeed. I am a dude and I care about all of the details. I'm waaay too detailed and my wife is the opposite and gets annoyed with how much detail I go into about everything lol. But anyway, thanks for sharing your birth story. It's so crazy how different every birth is. The last two kids I had and my wife just started to have some more intense contractions, we rush to the hospital and in 30 minutes or less have the baby. Laboring at home scares me because we were so close to having the baby at home lol.

So excited for you guys and for your family! Been here since 2017, and not going anywhere. To see how the weight is lifted off of you both is refreshing! So nice to see UA-camrs putting their family, marriage and real life first, before the expectations from the other side of the camera ❤️
I love this!!! Congratulations on the new baby ❤ so glad everyone is well!! I’m so excited to see this new “pivot”! Such a fun idea!!
I, for one, am really excited for this new chapter! I enjoy the day in the life content a lot 💛 praying this switch will be a smooth transition for y’all:)
If you could just be like here comes baby... whoosh awww he's here! Then no one would need epidurals lol
Think the backlash got to them tbh.
You guys have been such a blessing and I have loved watching your vids over the years. I always have a good giggle so thank you for the great content. Excited for what's to come!
Im so excited to be hearing Morgan birth story 🎉🎉🎉 I’m HERE FOR THE DETAILS !
And if Lord willing, I have kids, we will be watching the Pickleball Guys or the story time videos and all ❤😅
Congratulations!!!
It's really a shame to pressure yourself to continue something you no longer feel a calling for
Anyways, apart from that, great to see you guys ❤️
WE WANT ALL THE DETAILS, PAUL.
Even tho I never want kids, i really enjoyed the birth story😂😂 i love the banter while telling the story, i can just imagine Paul freaking out and Morgan is just like, this is birth!! But I can understand the anxiety after the first birth experience😭 so glad it's going well. ❤
Yall I am here for whatever yall decide to do. I love listening to you both.
Yes we love the details. More the merrier
“Total ripage!” -Paul
🤣🤣🤣 That got me!
😁😂
Bless you and your growing family! 🎉
I am excited for the new adventures to come. Well that’s life anyways right? Always new seasons. Thanks for sharing the news and whats to come. Praying joy, favor, and wisdom 🙏🏻
I'm exited for you guys😊. I hope that this new chapter in your lives is full of joy and with many blessings.
Honestly I will like any kind of content you guys put out! I genuinely enjoy your channel through all the pivots
This time next year if he doesn't get his vasectomy. Bet.
I'm looking forward to the family vlogs videos 📽️😉!! God bless y'all 🙏.
Will miss your old content but do understand this time in your lives holds many demands. I have no idea what pickle ball is LOL it will be fun to watch the new programming so continue on good people!
I literally love you guys, God bless 💝
What’s your favorite family vloggers that do it in a way you like?
So fun!! I’m so in on the vlogs. I was going to be so sad because multiple of my fav channels are talking about being done!
Every birth is different AND unpredictable
I Like your General content ,but we will see where this leads. ❤
I think it’s a good idea. Honestly, I’m getting tired of everyone just only having opinions on other peoples videos or all the stuff going on or judging everyone for everything they do. This will probably be better!
It’s soooooo gooooood to see y’all
I’m really happy for y’all and this new journey.
🙌🙌❤️
I’ve been following for years and I’m so excited for this new chapter! Good luck on going pro Paul! Cheering y’all on!!
Very exciting! I look forward to seeing what will come.
No having paul there with his perspective was also great 😂😂 the momentum was fine 😂👍🏼 I’m actually really glad he was in this birth story!
But yes Morg, if you want to do a birth story on your channel, I would LOVE that!!
Goodbye and thank you
I definitely witness to this pivot being led by the Lord to bring you & your family into a place that only you guys can fill. Excited for you guys and will be watching with anticipation! Also.... we'll see if that's really it for you two having kids 😉lol
Morgan you look beautiful! Glowing!
I’m happy to see you guys!!!🥹😍
Way to go guys! Happy for your new journey 👏🏾
Morgan “a musician 😂” I don’t think she was seeing it 😂
😂
Yes!! You did it!! I’m so proud of you!! Women are so strong. ❤❤
I like the direction y’all are headed and I’m so glad you aren’t entirely done and we get to see more of your family!❤
I am honestly so excited for this!!
🙌
OMG I CANNOT wait for family vlogs!!! Similar to the previous Morgan vlogs style? I have been wanting that from yall for yeeears!! ❤❤❤ so excited!!
So good to have y’all back. The more details the better when you’re telling the birth story. But I know that you meant well, Paul😊
Also, do not be hard on yourself for the moments of feeling scared or slightly traumatised. It is not a light thing to experience what you went through with the first birth.
Exactly, regardless of what videos show his experience is still valid and mothers themselves often have a different memory over time of how they felt sometimes not but it’s all valid and all a massive experience!! ❤
Thanks for the update: excited for you all!
I missed you guys. When I saw bittersweet I thought you were quitting youtube altogether. I'm glad you guys will still add some current events commentary. I actually want to do more videos on that myself.I really enjoyed the videos with that. The pickelball thing is interesting too. 😊
Congratulations on your birth story going as you wanted Morgan! Yay! 💜
“This is what the people have waited for” 💀💀 I can’t
I also love how real y’all always are!!🫶🏻
Paul and Morgan, do you have ANY idea how many people panicked yesterday afternoon when we scrolled through our UA-cam apps and saw "This is Bittersweet" as a headline and thought you were just going off the air? You two love to give us all heart attacks, don't you! (I'm joking, trying to bring a laugh here)
In all seriousness, I think this is a good business move and a natural evolution for you guys.
This is so exciting!!!! I’ve been wanting this from yall!!!!
Filming the kids & having “dirt” on them is part of the fun of being a parent.
Still in much support for you all ❤ appreciate knowing there is another biblical living family out there 🙌
I’m so excited. I’m all about a good day to day vlog.
Honestly good for y'all for doing what you need to do for yourselves and your family. May God continue blessing all the works of your hands and guide you in this pivot
Sorry I wasn’t there live. I was praising the Lord. Still, I am excited for this new chapter for you guys
I think this is one of the best ideas you’ve had in a while. Looking forward to the vlogs and I hope they are a success!!
Birthing a baby is hard!!! Who cares what noises come out lol I don't think anyone who hasn't had a baby before should say anything about anything having to do with how a birth should be lol
Are you talking slower Morgan? I had to speed up to 1.5 and never had to do that before xxx
She's probably tired
@@yagurl_I can feel exactly how she feels. Exhausted. 2 kids (one a baby), and first cycle. Id not be on camera. Haha. She’s a champ.
OMG IT’S SO GOOD TO SEE YOU GUYS!!!
I'm really loving the new direction your going with in the family vlogs. I will definitely be watching. God bless you paul and Morgan and your family 😊❤
Missed you guys!!!
Excited to see whatever you guys are gona share in the future ❤
I am SO excited family vlogs are so comforting. You guys are going to find so much more joy in this.
Yes please!! All the birth details!! 😂😂👏🏼
Really looking forward to the vlogs ❤ I always loved it when you guys were sharing from your lifes 🥰
I’m so excited for the family vlogs!!!
I wonder how many women curse Eve during their L&D. 🤣😂🤣❤❤❤
😂
I curse her every month with my cycle time! LOL!
I love this change!!
i dont think i even remember watching u guys until now but ur vids were cool and mukbangs when i was struggling with disordered eating
Hahaha the grunting
Love you guys! Excited to see what’s next!🙏
