I bought this Cheap Corsa back after 2 years!

- In today's video I'm just having a quick look around a cheap little Corsa that I bought back from a customer after a couple of years ownership. It needs a little work, but the bare bones are pretty good I think. Other than the brakes, the handbrake, the AC and the abysmal 1.4 engine...

Get a used badge for the wing from a vehicle scrap yard. They are common vehicles so they should have one.

I did the discs and pads on my 1.2 sxi same year for £55. It’s a dead easy job too.
My old Hyundai was a Hitachi executives car for the UK, I found loads of paperwork Inc the import papers from Korea and loads of maintenance every couple thousand miles etc. Plus it was full loaded with autonomous parking / xenon lights / heated steering wheel etc. Lovely car but it'd definitely had a few demo A/C units and microwaves in the boot in it's time 😂 nothing wrong with an ex rental / fleet vehicle as long as it's been maintained. Quite a rare spec Corsa with cruise and those sports seats, looks quite nice
£1995 all day long when it’s serviced and the brakes sorted not everybody’s got deep pockets that will do someone for a few years 👍🏻

Insects seem to find a way behind the clear headlight lenses on many Corsa D's. I also see a few of these with rusty bonnet leading edges. Rust streaks on the chrome grille trim means the underside of the bonnet is rotten.
Perfect little first time driver car. Not sure it was worth £1200 however as it needs a few £100 spent. It’s an £1800 car at its best and serviced. 🤷🏻♂️ love the videos 👌🏻
Hi Joe, great video,I've had two Corsas in the past,and both of them was a SXI spec models.with the wing,no lettering I say it has had a accident or rotten wing done on the car.
0 to 60 in three weeks, would suit an older couple for pottering about.

I've always seen the Corsa D as the Grande Punto's slightly younger, more strait-laced brother.
The grande punto and corsa d share the same platform and both released on 56 reg
As a rental, especially an inexpensive one, it has probably been driven by dozens of people without the least bit of concern for it.
Some of those renters probably drove it like they stole it.
No amount of maintenance can compensate for abuse.

I bought a ford direct ex avis rent a car. I did over 100k in it and only had to replace a starter and an alternator. Was a very good car.

Will need the condenser changing to get the a/c working again and then a regas. if you regas it it will all leak out again

@@ShiftingMetal If its been regassed before with a UV dye you will be able to see the source by shining u UV torch on it
I find the 1.4 requires a lot less gear changing and much better for over taking. Economy just as good if not slightly better

i remember when i was in hospital the break discs on my car rusted badly i ended up having to spend 200 to have them replaced

Seems like a decent car. It would annoy me if I was selling a car and someone broke the handbrake cable
My 2014 Kia Ceed is having the same brake issues as well. Popped to deven and pulling a trailer, up and down the lanes, brakes got hot and then became "Thomas the tank engine" lol

If its.still the old 1.4 then its rhe 8v and just a bit gutless where as the 1.2 was 16v and 1.0 a 12v.
Wonder why the 1.2 is the better engine as it certainly is.
I've driven a 1.2 Corsa D 12 reg and can tell you it's completely Gutless... Having been on many a Corsa forum it seems its just how they are... Now used to having the patience of a Buddhist
