CO Guy Stuff hi there - was this the same sub that was making the noise from the wireless adapter kit? Did it actually end up being a bad driver, or was that confirmed to be the wireless adapter kit? Thank you!
Yes the same unit, but two issues. Simply unplugging the wireless and plugging in the cord as I showed on the video, cured that issue. It may or not be related, I don't know how long this problem existed.
@@COGuyStuff Is the worthless "broken" driver still around in your larder? I'm facing same issue and SVS sending new driver, but the old driver may still have its uses.
I watched your video on calibrating a sub using REW. You then went into your Yamaha receiver and made adjustments. I have a Yamaha as well. Looks just like yours. It's a RX-A3060. I went into the setup and I don't see the option to make adjustments to my sub.
At least you had a year with it, I bought a brandnew SVS PB-4000 with a defective driver lol sent it back and another one is on the way, superb customer service, they were with me in every step of the way.
I got a SB4000.After unboxing I saw some white/grey Streaks/Stains on the Rubber Surround.SVS said that would we off-gassing.I cleaned it with a damp microfiber towel and a light all purpose cleaner. But I’m not sure if I should keep it after this.I mean it’s a Subwoofer for 2400€.
I have an SB-3000 its messed up also 6 months old. Contacted SVS sent a new sub right away but WTF i thought these were supposed to be the best lol mine is ticking/rattling on super low bass notes. I also replaced a klipsch driver because of a bottoming out type noise also and it was straight out of the box bad. Great customer service on both though but still.
I was trying to share a video with you about what's going on behind the scenes with these cheap Class D plate amplifiers. However every time I post the link my whole comment gets taken down. Let me know if you're interested in watching the video of what a engineer has to say about the new Klipsch Subwoofer , I would be more than glad to share this with you, I feel the same way I'm to the point now to where I'm scared to really buy anything.
My pb16 just blew for a Second time and I want to do this instead of swapping the entire monster as I have a bad back. It didn’t feel like the screws with the handles would strip the sub holes while picking it up? That’s a lot of weight being held by just two screws. Anyway great video. I believe I will give this a try
I just did this to my PB16-Ultra. It said not to tap the hole more than 3/8”. I tapped mine and put a handle on it. I pulled it out. The cord seemed long enough for me. When I went to put the new sub into the hole, the handle fell off the sub and the sub crashed into the hole. It broke off a chunk of my piano gloss black wood so I’ll have to touch that up. I have a new driver and new amp but my new sub doesn’t sound anything like the old one. I’m getting annoying vibration noises all over the room. I untightened and tightened by hand. I set the app settings exactly the same, even used screenshots. It just doesn’t sound right. Was yours different after replacing it? I just ordered $70 worth of isolation feet from the SVS website but I’m not happy right now. I will say though that the sub before it broke was an amazing sounding sub. Best I’ve ever had. Also their customer service is amazing. Great group of guys.
@@COGuyStuff Obviously wasn't intentional. The handles you had have knobs that turn to screw the screws into the driver. My knobs didn't do anything.
