    Beef, I hope you won't give up on Decked Out completely just because you don't feel like you can be competitive anymore. Jut do some runs for the love of the game. There's so much you have yet to experience while playing.

      You'll have the advantage of continually runs, as the other hermits only had hand fulls of runs at a time, before waiting a week. Besides you could trade some good cards for shards between some of the hermits

      hard agree! at the end of the day its fun to just run around in there. no need to worry about using all your shards or buying tomes or anything honestly. youve got access to it, might as well!

      This! Doesn’t matter if your behind, what matters is you have fun experiencing it! It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the fun with the other hermits, none of us will get that feeling, even in the world download. Your very fortunate, don’t give up just because you feel behind!

      I agree. Quite a few people are playing more for fun and maybe personal achievement. I've seen every run of every hermit that's posted (and many of them from Tango's point of view as well) and sometimes I think they have more fun when they die then when they succeed. Maybe do like XB did and trade some shard for cards. Somebody (I'm pretty sure it was Grian) had an extra uncommon if they haven't traded it away already.

    I was set out by a back injury for almost all of 2022. Couldn't sit in a chair, could barely get around the house. Finally mostly back to normal after spending the last 6 months going to a Physical Therapist weekly. It wasn't easy but it is entirely worth it. Don't ignore the back issues, they will definitely keep coming back as you get older - build the strength and resiliency while you're still (relatively) young.

    • @sagebauer1077
      @sagebauer1077 Рік тому +2

      @@procrastinator547 exactly. I feel like chiropractors, at best, can help you feel better in the short term. But nothing about their practice is geared to setting you up for independence later. For that, you actually need to build strength, mobility, and balance - which you get at PT

    • @ethantalbot1811
      @ethantalbot1811 Рік тому

      I can relate to that @sagebauer1077 . I spent all of 2022 essentially bedridden due to bulging and herniated discs. I ended up needing surgery to fix the issues and spent quite a bit of time going through PT with the help of a good friend.
      Said friend (who has their Doctor of Physiotherapy degree) told me flat out that the biggest difference between physical therapy and chiropractics is that physical therapists have to undergo significantly more mandated education and training in order to receive their licensing whereas chiropractors primarily learn their techniques through practice and pseudoscience. "I've done it for 30 years and it always works so don't ask questions" sort of approach rather than learning the actual human anatomy and science behind why things work the way they do.
      Fun fact, physical therapists have to learn all of the same cracking techniques that you see chiropractors flaunting in tiktoks and UA-cam shorts but they have to take full responsibility of they make a mistake whereas chiropractors follow the "F around and find out" approach and aren't always required to get it right.

    I empathize with the suffering through back pain. I also have had many years of chronic spine problems, and multiple surgeries when they've been at their worst. It just stops you in your tracks and no normal activity isn't affected, or just impossible. Please take care of yourself and do what you need to heal.
    That being said, it is great to see content from you again! Your game looks like it is coming along splendidly, and I hope you can get other hermits together to play soon. It is going to be awesome fun for all, I'm sure.
    Don't give up on Decked Out. It doesn't matter if you are behind for the competition aspect. If you enjoy the game, just play it for yourself. We are enjoying watching all the hermits play, it's so different from each hermit's play style and such fun. I hope you will play some more too. something that always helps me when i am having back and bum pains from sitting at the PC, is change out the cushion. i have a few cushions i set on top of the seat to give my back more support. while i have a very basic rolling chair, even the highest end gaming chair wears out after so long of using it. when those foams in the padding break down, that's when the pain starts up because you no longer have the proper support for your back. my favorite cushion had a cutout so that weight was on the bum and thighs instead of the tailbone

    Take care of your back, Beef! You only have one!! I'm almost 47 and I've worked blue collar jobs most of my life and I know how bad it can be. I think I've actually been dealing with anterior pelvic tilt for a while and it can be hell on your lower back. Hip flexors get too tight and short and it pulls your lower spine too much. I've learned the best thing for it is movement and stretching and strengthening the hip flexors. I would recommend any mobility workout you can find that works the entire body. A lot of the pain we get like that is from lack of movement. Just start slow and build up to it!

    If you want to catch up do hard runs or deadly get keys and get down always sneak on the third level and you will be ok, it will help you explore on your way in and out.

    A good chiropractor is fantastic!! I tripped over my own feet and dislocated four vertebrae and tore a ligament in my back about 3 years ago. A chiropractor put everything back in place. I don’t have problems with the bones, but the ligaments do flare up from time to time. Glad you’re doing better!!!

    Hope your back keeps improving! Back pain can be so debilitating, not being able to sleep or sit or move around, I don't think many people really know how awful it can be! I don't know if yours is arthritis related, but something thats helped mine is Glucosamine Chondroitin with NAC at night.
    Glad to see you back Beefers!

    dunny mess with the back, i love going to the chiropractor because i almost always feel better afterwards, but this last time when it didnt go away, it turned out i had a bulging disk that was crushing my nerve cluster as it exited my spine. took almost a year of treatment before we finally went to surgery. i can at least stand up straight now (i was hunched over during) but the pain isnt going away and probably never will. wishing you well and welcoming you back!

    Instead of screenshots, you could make a map of your island with banners where the barrels are. Which could also be a reward in a super secret sneaky barrel?

    Hey Beef! My cat gets a similar shot, although his is named Selencia (or similar). It's amazing how a simple shot can bring so much relief to our pets. I'm glad your doggo is okay.

    Hey dude glad your back and well you’re not alone with the back issues ever since i fell off a roof and jacked up my spine i can no longer play sweaty games or some days just any games in general due to nerve damage that shoots down my arm, just holding a controller can suck. Keep active, build up your back muscles and be mindful of your posture… your back will thankyou!

    fishing rods could be a fun, not over powered option for something Hermits can fight with in the battle. Glad to have you back btw, been looking forward to the launch of the tcg battle royale

    Beef you should add a TCG arena in or next to the Decked Out waiting room. This would be a great opportunity for a fun crossover that lets people play while waiting for player runs to complete in Decked Out. I think the hermits would also love this opportunity to play both games without having to go anywhere!

    Take care! Back issues are no joke for the long-run, you know? It is worth fixing/having it checked early so it doesn't get worse (I had back issues for years...until I couldn't walk, and it turned out to be a herniated disc that needed surgery...)
    Watching your Skyrim series, and enjoying every bit of it.
