FAQ
1. Are these patches compatibile with the new Microkorg VST?
Yes! You can easily import the PRG files (which you will find in the downloaded folder) into new Microkorg VST.
2. How to import these patches into original hardware synth?
It's easy. You need a MIDI-USB Interface and a free software. If you are a MAC user - try SYSEX Librarian or official Korg Sound Editor for MAC. If you use PC, try MIDI OX or MIDI Sysex Transfer for Windows 10.
Remember to turn off the write protection on your MicroKorg: press shift + 8, then turn the first parameter knob to OFF, then press the shift again.
3. In what format will I receive the files?
In the downloaded folder you will find the soundbank created using two different formats: SysEx (whole bank in one file) and PRG (separate patches).
4. I own MicroKorg XL. Can I use these patches?
Patches are compatibile with MicroKorg S and Korg MS 2000 Series. Unfortunatelly MicroKorg XL is a different sound engine.
5. Which slots will be filled with patches?
The pathes will fill the slots from A11 to A75. The rest will be filled with init patches. Here you can save your own version of the sounds :) Important note for Korg MS2000 users: MicroKorg's bank 1A is in Bank A 1-8 on the MS2000, and Bank 1B on the MicroKorg is in Bank E 1-8 on the MS2000.
6. I have other question
No problem. Just email me at contact@synth-patches.com
Just listening to these patches for 30 seconds each, is like its own complete album in a way.
:) Thank you!
Best microKorg patch ever.... It can be a G.A.S*. saver : No need more synths after getting this 😁

@@onceanquagh Thank you so much. And there will be more!
This is one of the greatest MicroKorg packs I’ve ever heard! Extremely inspiring stuff, makes me want to stop being lazy and start making some music once again (or at the very least, deconstruct these patches and learn how you designed them). Well done!
Thank you so much! Make some music then! :D
This is pure poetry. Both the video and the audio.
Thank you do much!
Ruxi Wang, I agree. These are the most impressive MicroKorg patches I've ever heard.
Brilliant sounds and scenes to go with it too 👍 poetry in motion 😎
Enjoying these so much ~ beautiful! Thank you! 🌹
This is an absolute treasure trove of inspiration. Can't thank you enough
Aaaaaand he’s back! I’m so going to download this when I get my microkorg back from my friend. Thank you so much for this.
these are absolutely mind-bogglingly beautiful. fantastic work!
Thank you so much!
I have been skeptical of patch packs, but man... this is one is insanely good. Brilliant work Krzytof.
These are some of the most beautiful patches I’ve ever heard. I wish these were each like 1 and a half minute songs… just need a little longer with each one to zone out.
Thank you so much! Yes I'm thinking about the album with longer themes :)
Downloaded yesterday, amazing patches, thank you!!
Thank you, have fun! :D
This is EXACTLY what i was searching for. Can’t wait to go lo-fi with it.
Thanks :)
Have lo-fi fun :)
this video is amazingly beautiful . thank you
Thank you! I took me a lot of work. Have fun!
Fabulous!!!!! Good work
Wow now my microkorg sounds like a sample!!
Thanks man, great work !
Enjoy! :)
These are amazing on the MS2000! A lot of room for expressive tweaking. Incredible sound design! Each patch is inspiring. Working with these has these taught me so much about the subtleties of my synth (particularly that I've been under-utilizing the L/R reverb!). Also, I keep coming back here to watch these videos. This is all such a work of art. Thank you for adding all this beauty to the world.
Thank you so much for this!
Very Nice, great job.
Definitely boosted some creativity with these patches. Love them! I did have some issues loading, but purchased the Roland um-one and solved that issue.
Nice to hear that! Have fun!
Man I bought your circuit pack and love it, this alone makes me want to pick up a microkorg. Keep up the good work. Your packs are damn good.
Thank you so much. Microkorg is cheap. And I will never sell it - such an amazing toy.
The sounds and the images are so mindblowing
Thanks! :)
Zajebiste, bardzo smaczne brzmienia. Dzięki! Właśnie kupiłem!
Ja tez kupilem I jestem w niebo wziety !!!
I purchased these over the weekend. These patches breathed new life in my microKorg! Top notch!
Thank you! Have fun!
Reminds me of Boards of Canada. If I get a Microkorg again I’ll look into buying these patches 👍
Thank you!
For 12 bucks a 100 patches is a steal. I can't believe the 20 year old MicroKorg can do all these sounds, glad I held onto mine. I have other synths that cost more and I am embarrassed to say they don't can't do any of these amazing sounds.
Thank you so much! Yep the MicroKorg synth engine is very well designed, very versatile machine.
just bought it. i don't know who those bands are but these patches are exactly what i needed.
Bought these over two months ago, and still believe these are the best MicroKorg patches I've ever bought. Thank you for these.
Thank you! :) Check out the brand new sound bank for DeepMind! ua-cam.com/video/VKMKuaRbcno/v-deo.html
GREAT!
I originally saw the video you made for the Novation Peak patches and was bummed because a Peak is not in the budget right now, but saw this and had to buy it because my Microkorg has been lonely! These sound amazing!
Thank you and have lot of fun :) Microkorg rulez! :)
I can't wait to purchase and get started. I also want to compliment the visuals. They are AMAZING!!!!!
Thank you John, have fun!
Excellent patches for this little gem of a synth.
Thank you so much!
@@Synth-PatchesCom you're welcome. I really enjoyed it and it's a motivation to use my older gear more again. 🤗
Just wanted to add my appreciation for these incredible patches - a real joy to play and very inspiring
Thank you so much Xander! Have lot of fun!
Can I ask how you downloaded them please? I have the usb midi cables but it doesn't seem to be working.
All of these sound so amazing and warm! I'm thinking of buying my first hardware synth (I've only learnt synthesis on VSTs) and this video makes me think a MicroKorg would be a good choice.
Once again brother... You nailed it
Thank you so much!
Ok, I’m ready to go buy this!! amazing stuff!! Thank u
Thank you so much. Later this year I'd like to create the second part.
Got a tip from a friend, bought immediately, these are awesome, Krzysztof! Thanks!

These are ridiculously good and will definitely get the Microkorg back on the synth desk (it's been tucked away for quite some time)!
Also, the little demo riffs for each patch are beautiful! Have you released any of this music?
AMAZING bought immediately
Thank you!
Korg + Motorola 56K86K DSP = dreamy
These are seriously so amazing. They breathed new life into my old microkorg and I've used them on my 3 latest videos. Thank you soooo very much!

Just bought the patches and I don't even own a MIcroKorg. I will soon thanks to these awesome patches. Excellent work, thanks! Cool vid too!
Thank you so much and have lot of fun! :)
Quickest $12 I’ve ever spent. Amazing work on these!
Thank you so much Ryan! :)
This soundset is fully compatibile with a new VST version of the Microkorg. You can easily upload PRG files or SysEX file into VST. Have fun with these sounds in your DAW! :)

Wow, I'm gonna buy a Microkorg and this package and be the next Board of Canada and make longing, melancholic, romantic electronic music... Love it!
First I would like to thank you for the excellent work. Probably the best patch package for Microkorg.
I have a question. Its possibible to reorganize into categories?
Leads, Pads, etc ...
If so, how to do it? Inside Microkorg itself or in the software?
Thank you one more time. I am very happy using your patches!
Man, bravo. In my experience it's really really hard to make a microKorg *not* sound like a microKorg, like it's really hard to break away from that virtual analog tone it carries, but holy shit this does not sound like that at all. All of these patches sound so crunched down and warm, and the processing you applied sounds beautiful, you did an absolutely amazing job!!!
Thank you so much. To be honest I was suprised how warm this synth can sound. The architecture of this engine is brilliant, all you have to do is to learn how to find the sweet and warm spots! :)
@@Synth-PatchesCom Ever consider a tutorial on how to find those sweet spots? 😉😅
The quality of the patches you makes is incredible. Really pushes the hardware to its sonic limits in terms of warmth and presence. So far, you have been responsible for me buying a DeepMind, Peak and now MicroKorg. Please think carefully before creating patches for any synths I don't already own! Maybe an OB-6 pack next!?
Thank you Max. I'm sorry for all these expenses ;) Yes I was suprised how far I can go with the MicroKorg - such a well designed engine. Now I've been creating sounds for the Hydrasynth, premiere in December :)
These patches are absolutely amazing! Good enough to consider getting the MicroKorg just for these sounds, I'm obsessed with patch 2 and a bunch of others.
Any chance you'll ever make similar patches for soft synths, maybe the Arturia V collection synths or maybe for the Roland Zencore engine? (Jupiter XM, MC-101, MC-707, etc). I would definitely buy those. I might get a used MicroKorg and this patch set, but trying to keep my hardware setup minimal, so I'm a little on the fence about getting another synth with keys.
No i na plus klawiatura. W Microkorg masz te 3 oktawy i 'zwyczajną' klawiaturę, a to jednak robi różnicę. No ale wiadomo, zadna opinia nie zastąpi ogrania obu instrumentów :)
Congrats!
wow this is just amazing! I had a microkorg but sold it a few years ago, but this makes me want to buy one again 😊😊 awesome work! subscribed
Thank you. Microkorg can be suprisingly versatile! :)
@@Synth-PatchesCom indeed, but your presets really make it go to another level. any chance you will do a similar set of presets for the korg minilogue? I won one and would definitely buy it! 😊
@@hyperpersonal Korg Minilogue XD is on my shortlist. Not the original one unfortunatelly...
Thank you Mr Steplowsky, got the patches downloaded, they are really awesome, will definitely be using them in my productions, we release a video every Saturday, will give you a hashtag/shoutout on future videos, so please stop by this coming Saturday to hear your patches in action.
Amazing! I can't wait to hear! :)
Man, These are so wonderful, exactly what I was looking for in a while. I actually bought the Mikro Korg just because of your patches. Thanks man, these will fuel my creativity for sure:)
Same, these patches made me pick one up today.
@@ryanhursh6322Did you managed to get them into the synth?
@@wolfgangwiesinger9502 I did but it took some effort tbh. The first USB to Midi cable I bought wasn’t working with the Korg somI had to buy the more expensive Roland one. Then had to install a driver for it… which was not very clear on driver needed. Eventually had the right cable and drivers and figured out how to send the data over. It pissed me off in the process but I absolutely love having that synth and these sounds. It’s magic.
@@ryanhursh6322 Ok, i have a audio/midi interface, so i wll use a printercable and a midi cable to the synth. May i ask which software did you use for this sysex transfer?
@@wolfgangwiesinger9502 I used Sysex Librarian for Mac because Korg’s software is no longer supported.
These patches make me wanna buy one of these Very nice
Thank you, you can use these patches with Microkorg VST :)
Unbelievable, unbelievable!
Thank you. Stay tuned, there will be more :D
I am sincerely grateful to you!
You made great patches, I just sat with admiration all night and listened to them, I just bought a micro corg for them.
The problem is as follows.
I have downloaded micro korg editor
I made a backup of the standard factory sounds and also created a folder with yours and they are not all copied at once. you can transfer and transfer only one sound at a time.
It takes a very long time to load them one by one(
Hi! Please send me an email at contact@synth-patches.com!
@@Synth-PatchesCom I wrote to you yesterday=)
These patches are quite Magical. If you played each track a little longer and called it an album I'd buy it!
Thank you! Yes I'm thinking about longer versions of my demos with some percussion on it :D
I've just bought the pack. It's highly unlikely I'll get my Microkorg set up this side of Christmas but I just couldn't say no.
Absolutely amazing sounds. Unfortunately I dont have any Korg. Is it possible, to use these patch with a vst on pc? Thank you very much.
I don't even want a microkorg and I keep on coming back to this video
beautiful. microkorg was my first synth. Sounded great but the UI was quite fiddly
these sound amazing yet again T_T. are you doing any post-processing to these sounds?
Hi! No. Only little reverb. You can listen to dry sound on my website
Man this is great! You should make these patches compatible with op-1 field!
Man, these sounds are the true definition of sublime.
I just bought recently your presets for my new microKORG. The best $12 I've spend, by a long mile! 👌
Btw, do you have any plans to make the same pack for the Novation Mininova/Ultranova? Despite being both VA synths as the microKORG (and even featuring a supposedly superior synth engine), I have zero luck to find patches in the style of BOC, Tycho, etc. for them.
Hi! Thank you so much. In fact I'm in the middle of making the soundpack for Mininova and Ultranova :) Premiere at the end of this year. Stay tuned!
Really good! The dry version seems to have a little reverb too, the microkorg has a built in reverb?
it sounds like just some of the delays set in really cool ways
these got a real playstation home vibe going. I love em. Sounds amazing!!
I've never thought that way :D Have fun!
I just bought it!
Totally amazing ! Thanks from 🇲🇽
Do you have some patches for Roland system 1?
Hi! Thank you! No, now I'm going to create sound bank for Deepmind :)
this is acrtually the greatest lofi ambient album
There's so much hate directed at the microkorg but these sound amazing
Yep, I was strongly amazed by the Microkorg and it's synth engine.
I thought most people love it?

Patch #83 is pure gold. I am waiting for my midi cables and then I'll immediately buy this bundle. Thank you so much for doing this my friend, this is truly inspiring
Thank you! As far as I know the Roland Um-One Midi/USB Cable works fine.
@@Synth-PatchesCom awesome, thanks :D
Hi can I ask you which midi interface you will be using? I bought the cables few days ago but it appears they may only be for sound and not data I thought midi was only data
@@jonnyhead Yep, not every Midi cable will work with Microkorg. The Roland Um-One will work for sure.
@@jonnyhead I use a Focusrite, the Scarlett 2i4. I had no issues at all.
Basically you connect the Midi In of the synth to the Midi Out on the soundcard and the MIDI Out of the synth to the MIDI In on the Soundcard.
Once you're set you can upload the libraries you own through the SysEx Librarian and it will work!
Wow great sounds i maybe will try the microckorg because of these... do you still use the doctor a reverb/delay?
Yep, it's still my favourite Delay/Reverb pedal :)
Krysztof, these sound fantastic! Did you apply any effects on the sounds we hear in this video or are these "dry" patches?
There is a little reverb added bu you can hear 100% dry sounds here: synth-patches.com/microkorg/

Greetings, I just bought and downloaded this bundle to my computer, question, will the m-audio midi to USB adapter work to get these sounds onto my microkorg? I've been using it to connect addictive drums on my computer to my Roland ekit, thanks in advance and what fantastic sounds you've made here, super excited to use them!!
Not sure. Microkorg accepts only few interfaces. The Roland Um-One works for sure.

HI, is the modulation controlled by the pitch bend ? is there any way to control it by tempo ?
new to microkorg scene,
if i install the patches, would the default patches be overwritten until i set it back to factory setting within the editor? or is there a way to switch between default and installed patches?
thanks!
looking forward to messin around with these patches
You can transfer the whole bank at once and the existing patches will be overwritten. But there are also PRG files which you can convert into txt files with parameters so you can put the individual patches separately and manually - good way to do the "reverse enginering" and know your synth well.
@ Krzysztof Steplowski
Any plans for an Ableton Native Synth Preset Pack (Maybe Wavetable, Drift or Analog) ?
No VST plans for now. The next one will be (I guess) Mininova, then Microfreak, then REVField part 2 :)

Sound incredible how do you get the patches onto the korg itself like how easy is the process of doing so i mkght purchase the patches. Cheers
Thank you and have fuuun! :D
I assume even though these were made on a microkorg, I would still be able to create sounds similar on an xl plus. I wanted to know how you would make the lofi wobbly tape synth pads like patch 2 or 8 assuming this all from the microkorg, no external effects.
Patch 2: there is sample-and-hold LFO option used. I use very fast LFO to modulate the pitch, then I put some cut-off connected to the modwheel :)
hi friend :) how do you feel about the microkorg 2 coming out? do you think you'll make any packs for it? thanks.
I'm deeply dissapointed by this new Microkorg :/ I was waiting for the MK2 but not this kind. The original one is really well designed. It needs only more voices and better fx. The new one will be forgotten quickly in my opinion...But I'm going to create another pack for the original one. And MK2 maybe in the future! :)
