I was 11 watching this. So awesome watching again now at 42. 👏 It was WWF and GLOW on roller skates. Ms Georgia Hase is the female Bobby Heenan played to perfection. Who didn’t smile every time Ice Box did the deep freeze on Monster Man? Nobody better mess with Ralphie! Watching now again I see how great a skater “Skinnie Minnie” Gwen Miller was. Sad to hear of her passing along with Ralphie, Ms. Georgia, Dyn-O-Mite Darryle, “Dr. Fu”, and all the others no longer here. Would love to see all the episodes posted! 👏👏👏👏👍👍
Mizz Georgia Hase was the best heel manager ever!! She was a tough woman...even though she got her ass whupped by Electric Randi Whitman or Skinnie Minnie Gwen Miller!! RIP Mizz Hase and Skinnie Minnie ❤❤❤❤.
Same with me at age 6 during the 1st grade when I was a major Hulkamaniac. I also remember the premier of AMERICAN GLADIATORS that time, and then watching this afterwards every Saturday nights. Greatest childhood memories here.
I kid you not, I was just now sitting here at my dining room table working from home and the theme song just pop in my head. Rock, Rock, Rock n Rollergames. A quick UA-cam search and here I am. This is the best part of UA-cam for my 42 year old self, being able to find shows from my childhood and reminisce. I was just turning 11 when this came out.
Watch your language, and this stuff is trashy, as is rock ';music''. This trash came up in a recent conversation, and I wanted to investigate. I feel bad, though, for even giving this junk a rating.
I remember watching this when I was a kid. I absolutely loved it back then. It's entertaining to watch now, but for more of a nostalgic reason. Thank you for uploading this.
I remember being kid, my parents would go out almost every Saturday night. Me and my little sister would watch this show religiously. I remember after this show would air; Saturday night shocker would come on. Thank you for this
Been waiting for YEARS for RollerGames HD. Awesome to be able to relive this show in such amazing quality. Keep the episodes coming, there's a ton of fans that love this!!! THANK YOU!!!
Only in America can you have a "world famous championship team" and a "world famous track", that has also been built just a month prior to filming the first episode, for a scripted television show, that hasn't even aired a single episode yet.
Love how Tom Cruise, Cher, Burt Reynolds and George Michael are all in the audience and the announcer plays it off like they’re just normal spectators.
I remembered when the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling were on Saturdays at noon on Channel 11/WPIX-NY. Then they moved GLOW to their new time slot early Sunday at 2 am (which pissed me off). But the 2 hour premiere of Rollergames came on Friday night and their new time slot was Saturdays at noon; and loved it ever since! I really wished they continued the show for season 2; and add some new talent to each team and/or add 2 new teams to the roster with new managers!!

Excellent! I have the galleries of all the T-Bird teams from 1961 onward. Your mom shows up in the 1982 team photo; so, I assume she joined Roller Games between that time and 5 years before that photo, yes? Did she skate in the Grand Olympic Auditorium? I know the T-Birds moved out of there at some point during the early-to-mid-1980s.
Even regular roller derby (the T-Birds were a legit roller derby team for decades) always had a little "sports entertainment" aspect in it. RollerGames just went there and made it full-on World Wrestling Federation on roller skates. In fact, the WWF wouldn't get this over the top for at least 8 more years during the Attitude Era. I still enjoyed this as a pre-teen. This used to come on before American Gladiators where I lived on Saturday evenings. There was another show similar to this around that same time. I think it was called Knights and Warriors. The 1990s was known for it's cheesy entertainment, but I would take it all day long over the repulsive and creatively bereft garbage on TV today. It may have been cheesy and low-brow, but at least this stuff was creative and entertaining.

Yea it has all the teams as bonuses you can get for hitting targets on the machine, there’s the pit, the wall of death, and the “rock, rock, rock and rollergames” song that plays on loop as you play the game.
I can not like this enough at 42!!! It's Saturday afternoon and I'm 12 years old everytime I watch one of these! "Mom, make me a sandwich, and after this I'll go outside and play! Thanks."
I was about to go to bed and I thought I would find out if that show Rollergames was streaming anywhere. Glad I found it here, this show brings back so many memories as a child watching this. But i'm confused as I first saw this in the early 1990s it was either before or after American Gladiators. Was there a second version of this show?
I remember watching it in sixth grade and it was right before American gladiators came out. I remember thinking they seem like they were part of the same push and I'm pretty sure they were both on USA Network
If there'll be a reboot of Rollergames; perhaps they could make their sudden death overtime stipulation better than the gators that they used from the original series back in the late-80s.
Fantastic to see these episodes posted here. Thanks. Only downside is the pic has been stretched to fit 16x9 when they were broadcast in 4x3. Would love to see a re-upload of these at some point in the future in the proper aspect ratio.

I just watched a few of the remastered episodes on TV. You need to fix the copyright year at the end of those episodes. The second Roman numeral reads 1988. And what chance would there have been, for THIS _RollerGames_ to survive, had the show's original distributor, Qintex Entertainment, not gone belly-up during mid-season? At the time (until _RollerJam_ came 10 years later), it was thought to have been the last chance for roller derby to survive, in the arena or on television. Its demise pretty much crippled Bill Griffiths' creation, the rival to Leo Seltzer's _Roller Derby_ (created in 1935), called _National Skating Derby_ (or _Roller Games,_ created 1960). Word is that they had a few games _off-camera_ in that arena in the years 1990 to 1993. I don't know about the teams that were made up exclusively for this show, but I have to assume those teams were gone, given that Darlene Langlois (Dar the Star) was back with the T-Birds in 1990 (she skated for them as far back as 1979). The people who were NOT Roller Games veterans were gone; Matt Bickham (Stars & Stripes), the twins, and Tammy Hansen (of Hot Flash) among them, the sooner the show went belly-up. Only the Ice Box survived, to skate for the T-Birds in the early-1990s. Even after 31 years, I can't put an original Roller Games face to Chuck Skull, and I still don't know his real name. Was he a veteran or a show recruit? Some of the people you see there are no longer with us. Ralph Valldares died in 1998. He was inducted in 2004 to the restored Roller Derby Hall of Fame (originally created by Leo Seltzer in 1952). Gale Bowers, another veteran of the original Roller Games, died in 2013. Georgia Hase, who was a skater herself, died in 2015. Only 2½ years ago we lost "Skinny Minnie" Gwen Miller. Watch her acrobatics in clips from the 1970s and early-1980s. Darryle Davis, a latecomer to the scene (c1978), died in 2014. By the way, Ralphie's daughter Gina, who you see in these clips with Hot Flash, skated years later with the revived San Francisco Bay Bombers of the late Dan Ferrari's _American Roller Skating Derby._ Her mother is Roller Games legend Honey Sanchez.
