  • Welcome everyone, join me on a journey of discovery... well, discovering the world of minibikes. This is my review on my 2024 CFMoto Papio Racer, a 125cc road registered toy from one of the fastest growing motorcycle companies in the world. In this video we dive into its relevence to own, how it could be the pint sized answer to all your squidding dreams without being terribly dangerous, as well as its usability in the real world in a time where penny pinching is at the forefront of everyones mind.
    I'm not an expert, i'm not sponsored, this is my own little bike and my thoughts on it and the world surrounding it from the eyes of a "daily rider".
    Your opinions may vary.

    Great video mate. It's convinced me to trade in my 650 (which I don't really use) and get this one. I'd be much happier revving the living daylights off the little Papio and be within the speed limit than looking over my shoulder for the cops every time I twist the throttle on an empty bit of road.

    Intro was cool. Would have been better if you cut right into the flashing shot of the Papio instead of watching you walk away. But great review and video overall, I bought one mate. 😉

    I used to position myself WAY to the left at red lights like you, but after I had cars pull up past me on the right and stop right beside me - I stopped doing it. I even had one lady drive through solid lines to cut in line into the space on the right I did not occupy.
    Now I position myself on the left tiretrack and point the bike slightly to the left so I can quickly pull out.

      Thats a quadlock on a 1" RAM mount adaptor, it uses a ram m10x1.25 to 1" ball mount in the mirror thread on the handlebar. Thanks for watching!

    How easy is it to get oem parts over there? I’ve been looking for the Malaysian oem flush mount turn signals to swap my usdm turn signals and I can’t find em.

    I would advise not to pull over as you demonstrated, perhaps on the right of the lane but drivers always look to were the driver of a car would be - the right hand wheel track. Looks like a fun bike, the Honda CB125 and the Navi are cheaper…

    • @JayHenderson749
      @JayHenderson749  3 місяці тому

      I'd rather be out of the danger zone, not in a wheel track. The cb125 is ancient and the navi is a scooter, but yes they're cheaper

      @@JayHenderson749 fair enough, the latest CB125 is actually a newer design - doesn’t even have a true starter motor…. I don’t know who buys the Navi…

      They're all a very similar size and seat height. I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam and i dont find the papio to be overly cramped. Best to sit on your options and find what suits

    • @JayHenderson749
      @JayHenderson749  2 місяці тому

      Not bad, i mean... you'll never forget its on 12" wheels, and the lean angle isn't agressive because the pegs have to be so low, but because im the weight of the bike, leaning off has a much more overpowering effect than on a big bike so getting a knee down and GP style cornering like a fool on a 600 would, is unbelievably good fun

  • @superwag634
    @superwag634 4 місяці тому +1

    Wait, you have 150km on it and you’re revving it right out? The manual says not to exceed 4,000 rpm before 500km and 6,000 rpm before 1000km 🤷‍♂️

    • @CRFLAus
      @CRFLAus 4 місяці тому +2

      Ahh the old break in discussion. In this case if you stick to those revs it'd be dangerous on the road. Babying a new engine can be bad for it. Loading up a new engine is more harmful than revs, I'd let it rev but not pin the throttle to the stop early in the revs for a couple hundred K's, change the oil and filter and you're done.

    • @JayHenderson749
      @JayHenderson749  4 місяці тому +3

      Its a hugely debated topic and i did read that part of the manual, Though with this bike, limiting to 4000rpm simply isn't doable on the road. It doesnt make any power until 6000 and it only does about 45-50 in top gear at 4k. I believe that limit is in the manual purely for liability reasons.

      They are a perfect start for someone to gain confidence in maintaining and modifying your bike to your taste. It's fun taking care of your own minibike and there is nothing that you can mess up that you can't fix by checking out UA-cam or asking a buddy. If and when you get a full-size bike or even your car you have learned the basics and know where your limits are. Lol. Enjoy it!
