Hey guys, in this video we will show you how to remove and replace fuel pump assembly on VW Jetta MK6. It should also work for VW Golf MK6 as well. We demonstrated on a 2011 VW Jetta SE with 2.5 5 cylinder engine. It is not very complciated to remove the fuel pump assebly. Just remember that you will need to disconnect the battery before you remove the pump so you can avoid sparks. Always be careful. We prefer doing that when the tank is almost empty. However out was all the way full.

@@trelliBO1 Mine was a diesel and it had a catastrophic high pressure fue pump failure so I had to replace all the fuel components.
Because of this video I was able to successfully and most importantly confidently install my 2013 Jetta pump. Thank you.
Simple things like the pop up latch and push down. The 2 lines push buttons to unlatch. I would have broke all 3 without this video.
Great video!!! I would just add there are springs in the pump on each side so don't panic if it seems too big at first. They depress when you push down and won't fit if the rubber gasket is not in place correctly.. Thanks did in less than 30 minutes first timer.

What symptoms was your car showing, I currently have random misfires and stalling at idle.
@@exflexgaming3246 same, no check engine light either. Replaced the cam, crankshaft and MAP sensors to make sure it wasn't them. Still stalled and bucked randomly, time for a fuel pump. Bleh.

OMG, Thank you for being detail. I have a 2004 VW Jetta. I had a tough time removing the hose. Others don't tell you about the small push in button @ 3:15. I went to the junk yard to get a replacement and I just cut the hose it out when I couldn't remove it.
Great!! This helped me better than any video! I broke the last fuel sender replacement being aggressive with the plastic . I was taught how to fix cars; Too bad you can't teach patience, only learn😅

Those "D" connectors (wire) are ornery, until you figure out that you have to push down (compress gasket inside connector) to unlock...
Holy shit, are all the connectors on Volkswagen like that? The ones under the hood like on the coil pack connections? Every repair vid ive seen trys to pry then connector clips out & they break.

@@walrusfood3 nah. the fuel tank sending unit and housing are all one big assembly in this car, but it is not like that in all cars

my car has the same miles as you! and fuel pump is out, i hate cheap parts on expensive cars!
