Red Pontiac potatoes. 2 potatoes cut in half to make 4 pieces produced a nice harvest. Planting in the ground is overall best, but someone with limited space can grow nice potatoes.

Yes you can absolutely reuse the soil in a raised bed or even amend the soil and reuse it in the smart pot next year.
