@@MdoubleHBxxx Cooking food kills tons of viruses and bacteria that would end up killing you if you didn’t cook it. Also, not buying meat at the store doesn’t make the animal not dead. Stupid people only make up a small percentage of the population, so the meat industry won’t be going out of business. Also, a purely vegan diet is not good for you at all. There’s not even a lot of protein and you’d always feel low on energy. Example: Sean O’Malley is an mma fighter, and in the beginning of his career he had trouble fighting because he was so low on energy because of his vegan diet. Another thing. Humans have been eating meat all throughout time. We’ve been carnivores forever and you’re trying to say meat is killing us? Yeah ok, sure. And somehow a vegan diet is good for carnivores? Yep totally makes sense……

I'm glad the feedback for the standing chest press was heard and addressed. This is definitely how things should be done for all strongman comps.
WSM would shrug it off and insult the fan base for such suggestions

@@user-sy5qq9fv4jthere is a safety aspect to this. Also just a bit different. Less technique like bending back into a C it is a straight press. More fair than a straight bench press

I'm surprised that the height of the athletes wasn't figured into the standing bench press apparatus from day one. Glad they will be getting it right.

Plus how many other athletes have actually cheated? If you ain't cheating or bending the rules to get an edge you ain't trying. These so called Cheaters put life expectancy at risk for the BIG WIN. Others settle for Top 3, 5, 10 finish to live longer. From what I've seen a shorter more risk it life seems to be the WIN rather hey I lived to 100 but I was broken for the last 20-30 years.

I'm glad you found that discrepancy with the Bench Press. Had another fan try to argue that you wouldn't realize the weight difference, and that you were going to be unfair with this event because it benefits certain athletes. Glad to see you nailed the solution as I had forseen!

Thanks Brian, I had a real concern about how you were going to deal with the leverages especially at different handle heights I know I commented on this at least a few weeks ago, glad you found a good way to mitigate the issues with the standing chest press.

Wow! Absolutely fantastic! You're looking really strong, and the issues from before don't seem to be sticking around. I'm an intermediate lifter, you're the GOAT, I won't tell you how to do this, but remember to have confidence in yourself, if you ever feel disappointed. Not every workout is a rock star workout, but these ones sure seemed to be! A ~600 lb bench in the hands (at the top range of what the competitors can do for sure), a 1050 lb hummer tyre deadlift, and that STONE RUN!!! WOW! So fast! No wasted time! Even that last stone was great even though it wasn't in the one-motion category. You're almost done peaking. The show is coming up - enjoy it! I have faith in you. No WSM show has changed that. But even if it were to be the worst possible contest day, we'd all still be proud of you. Thank you so much, Brian! From another member of the "Br-name gang", you really make this world a better place! 💖
The context that the standing press issue creates is amazing. Brian makes the 'base' weight look easy to press, James, who's a monster compared to most human beings, struggled to get it up!

Just a thought. Why not calibrate each handle level to be the same weight at the handles. So what ever handle the strongman chooses you know how much weight to load to make all handle levels the same weight at the handle, but different weights actually loaded. If that makes sense.
