    Wahoo for WASHI! I need to check out your old video for more tips. I think your idea for filling in the alphabet letter is great; something to easily replicate for the book if you want. I tried doing that method in the Sally Berry advent book on the numbers; some fonts were easier than others. Then again, I didn't have an blade, so it was kind of like a doctor preforming surgery wearing oven mitts. LOL! 💜Cathy🐱

      Hahah if i dont have a blade with me (or am too lazy to get it out!!) you can totally use a straight edge like a ruler to rip along!

      You can do it! The only hard part is not cutting through the paper haha but even if you did as long as its single sided you could use some extra washi on the back to tape it all together!

    Fun video, Dani. I quit buying dollar tree deco tape because I always end up having to go back and add glue or glue stick to whatever it's on because it just doesn't stay stuck. I also notice with real Washi, it gets fussy when it gets old. It wants to stick to itself on the roll. Love your collection!

    • @DaniButtons

      I mostly have the too sticky problem with scotch brand or other almost washi. No matter what I really need to use them more!! (Also I sometimes use my tape runner for cheapo tapes just on the edges and it’s usually enough )

    I love this so much! I don’t have much tape at all but as I’m coloring I’ll think about how I could use it in the pages (and “hope” I don’t get obsessed and need to buy all the washi - oh wait, you already did! 🤣). I primarily only do cbn but this could be a good way to jazz it up a bit. Even the process of putting it down and cutting it looks fun. Thanks! *woodgrain*

    I only have a small washi tape collection, something I plan to work on with time 😂
    I've used them for a border now and then, and I'd like to use for clothing I just don't do many people (and therefore clothes), but I'mma ready, hehe. Outside of that I use it sometimes for my Diamond Painting. I've never really thought about using it for labelling in 'real life', now you got me thinking, I may be on a labelling mission over the weekend, LOL.
    Thanks for sharing
    Edit: ps, love the woodgrain tape

    • @DaniButtons
      @DaniButtons  3 роки тому +1

      Yes! I'll put it under sticker labels so if I ever need to change the label it will just peel off nicely! Also an easy one I didnt mention is hanging things! It wont ruin paint if you need to temporarily hang something ( like my advent calendar) ANDD If parties ever become a thing again you can label different peoples cup with their own tape!

    I love this idea! Thanks for sharing. I have so much washi tape from the “crazy tape collecting”days, that I would love to use before it all goes bad. I’ve decorated my laptop adapter and iphone charger adapter with washi tape. As well as cleaned out “bath and body works” candle holders that can become pen/pencil/makep brush holders and decorated with washi tape.

    Washi tape is fun, I've done it in my coloring books a few times. I didn't know there was a difference though, maybe that's why I think washi tape is so bad cause it won't stick... I do have transparent paper tapes that don't stick, maybe they're not Washi tape. But it's a limit on what you can get in Norway I guess :) Thank you for the video! Woodgrain

    I love this! I’ve been wanting to try to use washi in coloring pages but wasn’t sure how to go about making it look good or how to cut it correctly lol so this was super helpful! I will most definitely press to hard while cutting so I’ll pick pages like this to start out with I think! Also I love that your washi matches your nails this video! I still have the dang Pooh Bear series song stuck in my head and it’s been days!!! 🤣🤣 Oh wow! This looks amazing! Definitely trying it soon! Wood grain! ☺️💜

    • @DaniButtons
      @DaniButtons  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah not cutting through is the only learning curve lol But its definitely still worth a try! You could always use some extra washi on the back to tape together any mistakes. I need to watch some more episodes! Need more Winnie in my life!! (made sure to not exclaim need more Pooh hahaha)

    Thanks for this!! I have a ton of washi tape from when I’ve done cardmaking, stamping and scrapbooking. I still do those crafts but not nearly as much as I used too. I’ve wanted to try them in my coloring books, but just keep putting it off, why, I don’t know. Lol. Now I need to dig them out and just go for it!!!!

    • @DaniButtons
      @DaniButtons  3 роки тому

      It depends on the tape. Sometimes if I am worried it's not sticky enough I will use a tape runner on the edges and that is usually enough!

    Is the rolls of tape expensive? I don't want to start a new hobby if it is. I live on Social Security, and I'm saving towards 3 of the big Disney books! They're absolutely gorgeous and I love Disney! 🥀💜🥀💜🥀💜🥀💜🥀💜🥀💜

      I know at a lot of chain craft stores they will sell nice starter sets. They will have like 20 tapes in a rainbow of colors. With coupon you should be able to get them for around 20 dollars? But they will last through a lot of projects!
