- An investigation is underway at Lagoon Amusement Park after fire crews battled two blazes in the same spot hours apart. The flames burned down two popular attractions, leaving the park to figure out what it'll take to rebuild.
I’m so glad it didn’t happen while I was working there. The bumper cars aka spook-A-boo was my favorite place to work for frightmares

That is so sad! Even after my kids grew too old to ride those bumper cars (I think it was called the "Scamper"), I'd still stop by to watch the kids having so much fun on the ride. There'd inevitably be that one unfortunate child who got stuck in the corner for the whole ride, and everyone would yell at him/her, "Turn the wheel all the way!" Loved it!
I was at Lagoon with my toddler for the first time in 12 years (I don’t live in Utah) but tried to find the kiddie bumper cars and they were gone. I had no idea this fire had happened. Too bad 😢
Seems odd that the entire place burned down. Was it a mistake of the fire fighters or was it arson?

If you listen to the video, they said that the second fire started because they couldn't reach that part of the building. They had individuals on scene for a fire watch. Like, they stay there and make sure it doesn't start back up again. It did, in a part of the building they didn't have access too, so they had to get the crews back, and put the fire out again.

@@repurposedart9897 so there's your answer. Though I'm not sure why they couldn't cut holes throughout the roof to ensure it wouldn't come back. I'm not a firefighter so 🤷🏻♀️

The fire fighters should double checked strange they didn't check everything

how was it possible for the fire to destroy it because I saw fire sprinklers on the video that should have saved it but I never been to that park but I wonder how the ceiling sprinklers didn't do their job.

that sucks those bumper cars were awesome at lest back in the 80's didn't have to have anyone ride with me on those ones unlike the adult ones

I think they should just close the hole place down cause it is just expensive I have only been able to go there 2 times in my life cause of how expensive it is there
Yes true but a lot of people love to go there and a lot of schools do programs and the treat is that you get to go to lagoon and some jobs down here do a party at lagoon. So yes it would be nice to just close the whole thing down but then a lot of people are going to be sad
when i was a kid back in the 90's the family would get season passes because while it wasn't cheap it would last all summer long avg it out to a really low price
and i am sure its not as bad as disney world that i took my son to last summer $140 just to get in the door per person and thats not with the park hooper
@@jonnym4670to be honest though it's approaching disney pricing for day tickets I paid 105 dollars today. Still love the park though
