You guys went all Whistling Diesel at the end! The good news is that those screws you used to hold that seat down were weather treated, so they'll hold up. Awesome video.
Thank you!! A 420 predator is definitely the move for a 1436. We sold that setup and now we run a 670 on a 1542 now and we have videos coming out for that build soon.
The adaptor is upside down . Turn your skeg to the right so it doesn't Torque steer. Use a adjustable wrench and bend the skeg to make fine adjustments. Put a 8 1/2" prop on it and let her eat . Been running one for 12 years now . Good video btw
Yessir, they’re a lot of fun. Sold that setup and our 22hp runs amazing. Took a bit to adjust the skeg and everything to get it to run straight but we got it dialed 👍🏽

Well, now I have to make one. We have a few rivers with no ramps I would love be able to cruise up and down. Question though, do you have many rocks or rock outcrops?? We have a lot of rocks and I am concerned I am going to go through props.. just curious!
Yes we have a lot of rocks in one river we go in, we just lift the motor out whenever we go over logs or rocks. We always have 2 extra props (and the tools to change them) as well just in case. We’ve had 1 incident where a prop broke on us
Depends on which one you get. The one in this video can do a full 360 no problem. The one we currently run has a Fuel line and cables run to a battery and fuel tank so you have to be mindful of which direction you swing it around.
@@southerngurlfishing2561 22hp on the large swamp runner kit. It all depends on what size boat you’re running. Our old one was a 13 so the 13hp motor could push it fine and it was very agile. Awesome video dudes! I have a 6.5hp on my 14x36 and I am thinkin about buying the 13hp now. I get up to 8mph fully loaded, (cooler, guns, decoys, blind gear, 2 guys) Whats the fastest you all get the 13hp up to?
@@northernneckoutdoors3136 that's the route that I would have went but the Honda was free. Probably add the loop exhaust/intake/jet and call it a day. Good videos
It’s actually not too bad once you’re driving around, it’s a little heavy when turning. We have a 212 on a 10ft boat and it runs 20 and Is a lot lighter
We typically carry 2 people + gear on the 14ft which is why we went with the bigger motor. Your 12ft would probably move just as good with a 212 and a stage 2 kit.
If you angle your scag a little bit more like 45 degrees it let's the prop sit lower when running really skinny and you won't loose power if you go under 6 inches
@@northernneckoutdoors3136 there will be a direction though that will cuase the motor to pull and the other it should drive straight, counteracting the torque
@@dalecooklin2444 it depends on the size of guys. Honestly you would be pretty maxed out. You want to spread the weight as much as you can to float highest. Two guys and a 212 on a 1236 would probably get stuck in anything shallower than 6 inches of water and only going to see a max speed of about 11 or 12mph. I had a buddy with a similar setup. I have a 1436 with a 14hp predator on it and it hauls a load much better. I see about 21mph by myself and 18 or 19 with a passenger as long as they aint pushing 220lbs
