Metroid Prime is one of few games that actually made me say "Oh my god, I did it" once I beat it. Seeing Metroid Prime herself made me yell out "THAT'S METROID PRIME?!" because she looked so different from what I was expecting, I was just flabbergasted

When I was a very small child I just thought it was a cool theme in Brawl and always associated it with how sleek samus is. Now that I’m older and experienced the prime trilogy for the first time this year this theme isn’t just a song, but a summation of Metroid Prime the adventure as a whole. A experience I’ll cherish forever.
Ironically, as much nostalgia as I get from watching Prime's credits, I think it makes me more nostalgic for my days playing The Subspace Emissary in Brawl with my friends.
2:12 I can never truly explain what I'm feeling from this part. I'll try my best. It feels like even though I finished a job, something very important slipped away. It got away. There is guilt for your failures. And now you have to suffer the consequences and hope for another day of redemption by truly finishing the job. It got away. It's not over! How can you rest knowing this?
This is a game where you earn the credits. They aren't something annoying that you skip, you watch and listen through it, because you had to suffer through the fission metroids and then like 7 phases of Metroid Prime, with barely any healing.
I just finished the remastered a few days ago. What an amazing experience to listen to this after finishing the game again . I remember staying home from school and playing metro on the GameCube 😂
@@Lewt_2B I'll be honest, as someone who did his 2nd playthrough on Hard, I found the first phase of the battle to be very brutal, even after obtaining all energy tanks.
That fits very well with the overall themes in the song. You hear the phazon noises throughout the first half, which is basically just the menu theme. You hear the menu theme before you save Tallon IV from phazon. In the second half; the credits half, the phazon noises are mostly absent, because you've saved Tallon IV. They only play during that somber section before the climax, which makes me think back to all the obstacles Samus has overcome, and then again during the darker section at the very end, which conveys that the phazon threat isn't over yet.
yesterday i finished metroid prime. i was 4 tanks down, so only had 10. i beat the metroid prime on the second try. i felt satisfied, i had beaten the best game ever at 12 hours, 85% items and 60% And when this theme played, i simply smiled
@@maxpower7649 My first playthrough ever I think took me around 15 hours or so. All the playthroughs after that have been around 10 hours, but I always go for 100% completion (items and scans).

great list, only one i would add is phendrana's depths, honestly i prefer it to the original theme, I always like it when songs incrementally add new instruments, really cool effect
I remember having such a hard time with Metroid Prime (the end boss) that when I finally beat it, oh man. It was like beating dark souls for the first time.
I can say the whole story, but writing this theme would be extremely hard the explain, due to the amount of FREAKING AWESOME MUSIC that is involved through this theory.
I got this game in second grade and while I played it _constantly_, I would always get stuck at the mines. When I finally beat it some time in early high-school and heard those added melodies and other additions it was a crazy magical moment
its cool to see everyone in the comments saying how they beat the game and say how good this theme is ive known it for years as that song youd hear in all the metroid videos knowing it was in prime and then seeing how even better the theme was after i beat it last week literally
I think I like this more as a credits theme than a file select screen I mean if u think about it this song gives the feel of being done with a long and awesome adventure you know what I mean?
Here’s my experience with the track: like many my age, I first experienced this track in the subspace emissary (placement was ideal imo). It was a track that I didn’t think much of but enjoyed using while platforming and fighting as ZSS or pikachu. Cut to 15 years later. I decide to pick up the MP1 remake. Love it BTW. I hear part of it in the file select. Feels nostalgic. Similar to the parasite queen’s theme, but while that was for the moment, the theme that plays in the credits has so much to say. It gives a vibe that fits this game are arguably the series: adventurous and wonderful, yet mysterious and to an extent horrific. It fits this game as well as gusty garden galaxy from super Mario galaxy or it’s pizza time from pizza tower. This song made getting there worth it!
I remember when I first played Metroid Prime through, the game froze on the final thud and cut to black at the end of the credits. I wasn't sure whether or not that was meant to happen. Wait... what?
Just watched the Prime 4 announcement and this song got stuck in my head
That part at 2:12 hits ALL of the feels. Every damn time.

WAY too nostalgic 😭😭😭

Its the weird noise/music that plays in the phazon core of the impact crater.
i would think it was the metroid prime's organs moving around, you know, things beating contractions of the organs in such
I always loved how the Impact Crater sounds were added to the credits... not just the title/menu ones.
