If your gonna react to "Runaway" do the official video and not her live performence at the Nobel Peace Price concert. Not that the live performence is not good as they all are amazing, but the video is a beauty and has become a landmark for her and was also her launch to international recognition. But for those of us who had followed her before that i think many will recommend you start with something that will give you a better grasp on the journey she has been through from then and up to now and how you can see a huge change in her way of apparence/performing and her confidence on stage. I always recommend her first TV performence to newcomers. This was done not long before "Runaway" took off. When you will check into her later stuff, then you will truly understand she has had a very interesting development as an artist. Her first TV performence in Norway was what made her known to the norwegian public. A 17 year old, kinda nervous girl, but going into her own world when she starts to sing and closing the song in a way you think shes coming out of a trance. So mesmerizing and cute at the same time. The song is "Awakening" and i think she wrote that when she was 11. I really hope you do this one before you move to more of her newer stuff. I would recommend the whole KEXP 2018 live concert. Not because it's necessarily her best vocal performance, but because she's even more lively than usual. She does her dances on stage and sometimes gets a bit out of breath I think. That performance also showcases her wonderful humor inbetween the songs. Another couple of live concerts which are good take place during the Haik-programme on NRK. One of them is actually outside in a forest. My favourite songs by her are: "I went too far", "Forgotten love", "Churchyard", "The seed" and "Apple Tree." I prefer the ones with a beat behind them, but she's got a ton of great stuff. She's also covered among others: Massive Attack, Ariana Grande, Imagine Dragons, David Bowie and The Beatles.

This was a challenge on a radio show - she and her band had half an hour to learn it, then perform live on air. The result is so far better than Ariana Grande that it isn't even funny. When you've marvelled at that, marvel some more at her work with Norwegian band Wardruna, namely the song Helvegen (also live)
Great review I had to laugh that you'd come to one of aurora's fiercest songs from her Disney debit, but I'm glad you stayed and you're right there's lots to love. If you want amazing pure vocals check out vevo eyes of a child, the studio live performance of it happened quiet, the harp version of forgotten love and the haik performance of warrior. Another recommendation is the song the seed, it's stunning official version is very tribal but the acoustic version very Woodstock and for something more similar to what you have just seen try the apple tree.
