She's the warrior queen. I sit in my cabin in the woods watching reaction videos, and it inspires me a lot, still do nothing. The world is broken, and she gets it. Hugs from Sweden.
Aurora was recording all kinds of sounds while producing this album at La Fabrique, the challet studio in France. She was playing with light switches, gramaphones et. al., to use as percussion. When you get a chance, watch the "Once Aurora" documentary. You will see some of the creation of this album, as well as her earlier world tours.
Aurora is a bit of a percussive nerd, always experimenting with making unique sounds. Playing with non-musical items to see what sounds they make. She's also expressed distaste for the snare sound common in pop music. So your comments about the percussion definitely hit the mark.

A choir of only Aurora singing - now there's a thought.
