What do you thought about Joe’s “strategy”? For me it looked very weird, especially that first round. He wasn’t throwing any punches nor was he even ATTEMPTING to dodge from JJ’s punches. I got the feeling that he was actually overconfident and that he wanted to show that he could tank JJ’s punches but that cost him the fight. When he started attacking after taking so many punches in the firs round he was already shook. And then in the following rounds he kept doing the same thing. Tanking his punches, almost not throwing punches, not attempting to dodge. Like what was the point? Still even if he had fought smartely I think he would loose because JJ’s power was just much superior. In terms of speed and technique they looked more or less similar. In terms of thoughness I gotta give it to Joe but damn he was dumb to fight the way he did.
I gotta say, Faze Sensei is a good instructor. I mean he does teach a martial arts school so it makes sense, but still it’s worth recognition. It takes skill to be a good instructor. It’s not enough to just be a good fighter, plenty of great fighters can’t teach.
