this kit has a engine and machine gun detail with some of the best in box cockpit details i have seen for a long time
decals in the kit are the new peelable type that hopefully remove the risk of the silvering on the edges
the tropical paint scheme can be a pain to mask up but its worth the time and effort for a great looking bf109

I'm with you. There are several really good 1/48 kits of the 109. But Eduard remains the benchmark--
maybe shares the perch with Wingsy Wings.

Absolutely fantastic build, and finishing.
I have been looking to get back into model making after a very long break, and after watching your build of the Bf109 E you have inspired me to finally take the plunge and start model making again. I have just ordered an Edward 1/48 Messerschmitt BF 109 F 2/4 kit to have a go with. If it turns out half as nice as the one you have build in your video, I’ll be very happy.
Great video and fantastic modelling. I’m off to watch some of your other video’s now, for more inspiration.

Eduard is probably my most favourite bf109 that I have built
The Eduard weekend editions are great buys as well because they are essentially the same kit but without as many decal options and no photo etch and masking but at nearly half the price of a profipack version

Fantastic video, I got the profi pack of this but I’m saving it for quieter times to get a good run at it.
The profi packs usually have masking template and pe cockpit panels and seatbelts and that should make it pop more

I like this paint job. What size needle did you use for the "dots"? There is one thing you missed that many others also miss. There is a panel line all the way down the aft fuselage on the top and bottom of 109s.

i used a 0.2 needle for the dots

I got the tool from a hobby store called Hobbycraft
The tool is called model raft pick and place double ended tool
Cost £10.50p
You can get similar from Amazon ect just search sticky pick up tool
Paint the tail off the plane; much easier.
Nice idea but I prefer to build and then paint
