Please Mr.Pasikov....keep composing....and to PianoReader....keep featuring him on your channel.....he needs more recognition for his amazing talent for emotional compositions
Josh Salam Shostakovich composed his 8th string quartet when he was having suicidal thoughts. idk how to describe it but the second movement of it is something else...
If you listened to a lot of classical music, you would see that there is a reason it is written. For example, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata was written like a story but a short one like a silent short film. The first movement shows the despair, the second movement shows the happiness, and the third movement shows anger because of how dramatic it is. Chopin's etudes are like small little diary entries and talk about many of his emotions. His nocturne op.9 no.2 expresses how beautiful the night can be, and the same goes to Debussy's Clair De Lune, which was inspired by the moon and how beautiful it is. Emotion plays a key role in composing music because it comes from the heart where beauty is made in music. If you are composing music and you are just playing it without this so called "heart", meaning using the technical stuff aside from just plain notes on a score, then where is that emotion and experience from the music. You might not see it in terms that you don't think it shows despair but if the composer composes the music and is called nostalgia, then at least think about the topic while the song is playing, or else you wont feel the song, you jjust hear the beauty of the song and that's it. Being an actor also has to do with emotion during a skit, if it is an argument skit, then there would be anger and despair and everything around, and your emotions are what makes a skit realistic. Just giving you an understanding of how emotion plays a role in music because if there are no technical parts of the music, then you wont hear it.
I do believe that we can relay emotions with music. To me that is the whole thing. You are playing the piano in front a bunch of people trying to express something to them without words. It reminds me of an incident where this baby wanted something. And kept making noises and pointing and finally someone said use your words damnit. Of course the baby hasn't learned to talk yet so we all burst out laughing.
I still remember when Hans Zimmer said that when you're composing music, you're basically making a conversation where one phrase could be a question, another can be an answer, another can be a dodgy question, etc. Others may see it like this as well.
This is such a beautiful song, and it makes me feel nostalgic about the first time Imet one of my very close friends. It makes me happy ☺️. It's a nice feeling. Thank you for posting this.
There is some reflection yes, but the minor key and the chromaticism make it sound more mysterious and somewhat afflicted than reminiscent. Also, I might not think it's nostalgic but what a wonderful piece! I feel like there is so much for expanding it, even orchestrating it, maybe.
To me, it sounds like that weird sense you get from knowing there are things you’ll never see, places you’ll never be; that there are feelings you’ll never put into words properly, never tell people about to see if they feel them too, feelings that have their roots so firmly planted in the right side of your brain that you can never get a grasp on them, they just change or slip away. Not meant to be enjoyed, per se, but simply experienced.
Do you happen to have an account where you can download a pdf. It is asking me to create a new account. If you do and can send me the pdf then I would be glad to look at it.
Got it. Dowloaded it. And am putting it into my queue. Here is the list. One last composition to be recorded, Mozart Eine Kleine Nacht Music and then I will see what I can do with this piece. Thanks again for suggesting it. It looks like it is going to be fun.

This piece captures the ache of nostalgia so perfectly. I can see flashes of memories as I listen to it
I am so glad I called it Nostalgia. I felt nostalgic when playing it but now I see others feel the same way.
It's the perfect name! And the perfect melody :)
I fell in love with those up and downs on the left hand

It is very cool when music evokes a feeling. No words just something that touches a feeling.
Nostalgia is now on Spotify for all you who have Spotify.

Solomque sus melodías de Ray son únicas e y hermosas .
What a curious title. I don't feel like it's a nostalgic piece at all. It's so agitated.
The middle part is definately agitated. But the beginning is reflective.

Also, I might not think it's nostalgic but what a wonderful piece! I feel like there is so much for expanding it, even orchestrating it, maybe.
Exactly my thoughts, it's just too dark to be called like this imo. I think it kinda misses the sweet part about nostalgia.
Lol, same. It's more like regret or fear for me...
