Fixed the spot on the phone I had by replacing the battery. Watch videos on how to replace the iphone battery. Not sure that it was actually the battery, but I believe disconnecting and reconnecting the screen display connectors is what fixed the problem.

To anyone who's having this problem right now and frustrated oh, you probably think that all of these comments about throwing on the ground won't work. I did too. jyo ji Hey guys, I'm a bit late in responding, but I just encountered the same problem on my iPhone 5, and discovered a solution that worked for me. Upon looking carefully at the lens of my camera, I noticed that there was a piece of dust on the iPhone's lens, but underneath the glass cover. My idea was to dislodge the dust from the lens. Essentially I banged the rear face of the iPhone against a table, which dislodged the offending debris, and deposited it somewhere else in the enclosure where it was no longer visible. Details: I placed a piece of printer paper against a very flat table to act as a shock absorber and to avoid scratching. I then placed the bottom rear edge of the iPhone flush against the paper, with the rear of the phone at about a 45 degree angle to the paper and table. At this point the rear camera is facing toward the table (at an angle). Now hold the top of the iPhone (by the earpiece and sleep button) with one hand while applying a downward force (toward the table) with your other hand on the front display (the forces cancel). Then suddenly release the hand holding the top of the phone and allow the phone to accelerate due to the downward force of your other hand toward the table. What will happen is the entire flat backside of the phone will hit the table simultaneously. Repeat as necessary, And between each try, check the camera app to see if the dust spot has disappeared.
my iPhone XSmax got the same problem, contacted apple care center and the guy told me that there might be a dust or debris sticking to the lens of the rear camera. Mail-in for repair.

This just happened to me with my iPhone 11. I took it to the Apple Store to see what they could do. They first took the lense glass off to clean off the interior of the lense glass and blow compressed air onto the lense itself but the dots were still present (this was done in the back, outside of my view). They then told me that the only way to get rid of the spots was to replace the particular camera where the spots were present (my iPhone has 2 rear cameras). I ended up going with this option which cost me $80. The gray dots were gone after the camera was replaced.

Well it did happen to my phone... I tried to follow some of the tips... I shook it, dropped it, cleaned the outer lens, air pressured it... it did not remove the spot. I brought my phone to the repair shop... then the diagnosis was... camera itself has a problem... So I paid for the camera's replacement... then my phone is okay. Haist... cost me some box

I had the same issue with an old Motorola Turbo 2, those you have the luxury of being able to open up fairly easily. Then I used an air compressor and blew around the camera. Worked like a charm
It worked for me, but i had to open the phone, its rear cover, went to gas station and i blew air with tyre pumping tool directly onto camera lens sensor after which spot was removed from screen.
OMG thank you so much. I shaked a lot but didn't work. Got disappointed. Then hit my phone hardly over my palm 5-6 times and the spot get larger but faded 80%. It's far far better now. Then hit several times but didn't go away completely. Will try again later.

@@eunicespotlight2069 Hi Eunice, I could have sent it in to Apple for repair but I was eligible for a trade in so I traded it in on a new phone. I think Apple would have fixed it under warranty but just decided to upgrade. Hope that helps, good luck.

Legit just happened to me too... and I have 11 pro
same with my iPhone 11.
Same here...
Me too in my iphone xs
Me also how can i fixed this problem
Well it did happen to my phone... I tried to follow some of the tips... I shook it, dropped it, cleaned the outer lens, air pressured it... it did not remove the spot.
I brought my phone to the repair shop... then the diagnosis was... camera itself has a problem...
So I paid for the camera's replacement... then my phone is okay.
Haist... cost me some box
Can I know how much?
Pinas po ba ito? Sa apple store nyo po ba pina repair?
Just hit ur camera with finger or hand directly on the spot and dot will be gone
Good to hear this!
Trust me. It works if you drop your phone accidentally lol ! I was hitting my phone on the bed and it bounced off and hit the floor( not too hard). I checked the camera later the spot was gone lol 😂
Tyler W great technique!

I had this problem 20 minutes ago i was so freaking out i dropped my phone 2 time on mu desk and the black point was gone 😫
I had the same issue with an old Motorola Turbo 2, those you have the luxury of being able to open up fairly easily. Then I used an air compressor and blew around the camera. Worked like a charm
Yeah!
I have the same problem but there’s like a bunch of them around the corners and I don’t know what to do anymore pls help
just shake your phone, toss it around on soft surfaces or hit it lightly on the floor.
Does this actually work I have a medium size dot on my camera
lIAnxietyIl - it worked for me today still, but my dot was rather small but bigger than the one in the vid. It wouldn’t hurt you to try right 😊
This really works like for real! I shook and dropped the phone more than 3 times then swalla! It’s gone!
fuck yes!
It works!
Ong it worked
Is your phone gone or spot ? 😂😂
Sweet!
It worked for me, but i had to open the phone, its rear cover, went to gas station and i blew air with tyre pumping tool directly onto camera lens sensor after which spot was removed from screen.
Wtf weird ppl. Its just a dirt on camera sensor. LCD issue is different
Yep
LMFAOOAOAOAOAOAO THE DROPPING OR HITTING TECHQNIUE WORKED IM LOL
That's great to hear!
OMG thank you so much. I shaked a lot but didn't work. Got disappointed. Then hit my phone hardly over my palm 5-6 times and the spot get larger but faded 80%. It's far far better now. Then hit several times but didn't go away completely. Will try again later.
Sharmina Rahman Saky did it end up going away?
Fixed it boys! Let my phone fall on my desk like two times from 2-3 inches and the dust was blown away!

My Xs has almost the same but a bit smaller but darker, what to do now? 🤔
I have iPhone 11 Pro. I tried everything but the spot is still there. Somebody with the same phone and same problem?
Kristiana Milotinova read some of the comments!
Ds
It happens to me with the camera app only, but if I try taking photo with instagram or snap with the back camera the spot is gone, anyone knows the reason??
Other 3rd party apps only uses your main camera not the telephoto camera lens
Just Shake it hard and hit it on something soft like on ur hand and it will go away 💪🏼
Omg it worked !! THANK YOU ! 😔💖
