pnwfullstop nice self promotion on someone else’s video, you guys are a dime a dozen lmao nobody asked if you were “currently editing your own video right now”
Your NY pond fishing videos has to be one of your best videos. That was great. I haven't seen to many people do that. It's funny how all those kids knew who you were. Keep up the great work.
I'm glad you are doing your camping/survival adventure videos. Out of all the Googens these are my favorite videos and what set you apart from the rest.
Two things, this has been a dream of mine so I love watching you do it! Second, watching you go over the fence w two sharp knives in your hands had me holding my breath
Just watched yesterday’s video and today’s. How did the new boat handle the waves? Also, is there anything you think you want to change or add for adventures like this?
APBASSING, nice video! I want to make it to Lake Michigan someday to do some Salmon fishing for my channel. I caught a Coho at my brother in laws near Petersburg Alaska when they were running up a stream. Greatest fishing moment of my life! Keep doin what you do!
Great catch man glad to see you knew to bleed the salmon always good to do but awesome video man this is so cool to see you do 🤘 nothing I’ve seen before from any fishing youtubers so good on you man stay safe and enjoy yourselves!! Keep up the creativity man cause these last couple vids are just so cool to see man I’m happy for ya just like a lot of other people are I’m sure it’s just cool to see you get outta your comfort zone and do something like this and even like the beginning when you first left jons cabin in Maine to go do solo stuff so yeah man so keep it up AP!!!!! 🤘🎣🤘
Love the channel. This Lake Michigan series is very interesting. Why do so many Americans not like to eat fish whole or in pieces, I notice most fillet their fish. So much meat is lost, especially the collar and head. Something to try maybe in the future. Best of luck!
Spent 3 years in Alaska and did a lot of salmon fishing. Here’s one of the simple recipes I use: Cut a salmon fillet into thirds so that each piece is about 6-8 ounces. Lightly salt and then coat each piece with cayenne pepper (powder). In a medium-high heat, pre-warmed skillet add a few drizzles of vegetable oil. Place the fillet skin side down and cook for 2-3 minutes, flip and then cook for another 2 minutes or so. Flip it back so the skin side is down again and then drizzle pure maple syrup (or honey) over the fillet. It will glaze the fillet nicely. Add a squeeze of lemon juice. Remove from heat and enjoy. This is a great recipe for people who shy away from fish that taste really “fishy”. The cayenne pepper removes that strong fishiness but it doesn’t add much spice so don’t worry about it being overly spicy.
Yo awesome video brother. The old AP is back and better than ever. Love the new cooking skills you’ve come a long way keep grinding kid✌🏻🙏🏼🤙🏼👊🏼🤘🏼💥👌🏼🔥🇺🇸
Awesome. I would recommend not "pumping" the fish in though, steady pressure set the drag nice. I am not sure if you are barbless or not but it will help land fish by just keeping steady pressure. Pumping and stopping can work a bigger hole in the mouth and releasing slack to the fish the hook can slip out very easy. Also, coho have white gums and smell clean, spots are usally less prominent. Chinook (kings) have black gums sharper teeth, spots are usually more prominent or bold looking, and they often smell like an old penny. Once you catch a few its easy to tell them apart.
I have a question for you. I just got a 2020 Lowe FM1775sc and it is made for deeper water but Lake Michigan kind of makes me nervous. How do you check for wave conditions and what are red flags for when I shouldn't go out on a 17ft 10in boat?
Peric hops the fence and dies bc his dad never taught him to carry knives with the point facing backwards... so if you trip and fall you don’t... you see where I’m going with this. B safe little guy lol. Great trip! Great footage! Just don’t impale yourself
@@zachwbassfishing8580 I don't have a boat😔 i usually rent them where I go but I'm always looking for new fishing places I'll have to check them out appreciate it👍🏽
Man me and my family are moving to Green Bay here in maybe 1 or 2, at the latest 3 years i can’t wait to go fishing man I jus don’t have a boat 😂 so don’t know if I’ll be catching salmon
U gotta try fishing Sheboygan river when then come up and spawn starting late august with beer bottles on a three way rig using shiners and spawn sacs. Absolute blast and usually a lot of people. It like it’s own fish fair lol.
Clicked on this with an inkling you'd be in Port. Port Washington born and raised. Wish I knew you guys were in town, woulda offered to take you out sailing.
first fish was a coho, second as well. you can simply cut one or two gills rather than cutting the throat to bleed them out as long as you do it while still alive, they will pump the blood out with every breath. nice job on the video, enjoyed watching it.
A set of cannons makes trolling magic I have em love it you catch fish other people watch scratch there heads then you see them again they have cannons some are hard headed you wont to catch fish are not.
Why did you not hunt this past fall? I was super hyped when you started getting into it. Then you brought the hunting public guys and I was like wow this is gonna be awesome. Would love to see that come October!!!!
Just a tip from someone who works in a 4 star restaurant, cook the fish skin side down directly on the pan, and put the lemons on top so the juice drips down into the fish👍🏼 what you’re doing is putting the lemons on the pan which will just steam off the juice and burn the sugars.
The last one was a trout
Coho
king
Jett Baenen lmao
@@thevault1575 nope
@@jesusnunez6096 cant be. Jack Kings do not migrate to the ocean from Lake Michigan.
I visibly grimaced when Peric hopped that fence while holding two filet knives pointed directly at his own neck
Same. Especially with wet hands. I've done it but luckily not while holding a knife.
pnwfullstop nice self promotion on someone else’s video, you guys are a dime a dozen lmao nobody asked if you were “currently editing your own video right now”
I visibly grimaced when is saw your pfp
Are they biting on lettuce?
I died 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
Yo glad I checked your channel out! Vids are fire! Just subbed
What's the deal with Peric and lettuce? This is the second or third video that mentions lettuce and seems to be an inside joke that I missed.
B C he’s got a vid where he caught a small mouth on lettuce lol, just search “peric lettuce” and it should be first vid.
" Do we have any idea what we are doing? Absolutely not!" Freaking classic! It got the job done brother. Good show. Well done. Eat well.
Hell yea AP! Love to see you out there figuring it all out for yourself, that’s what fishing is all about. Cheers man
Your NY pond fishing videos has to be one of your best videos. That was great. I haven't seen to many people do that. It's funny how all those kids knew who you were. Keep up the great work.
When ap gets excited his voice sounds like he's 13
But he's only 12.
The best is when he stomps his feet
How old is he? Looks 13

Honestly he throws a fit😂

Nice adventurous and enjoyable video. Thank you Alex.
That was awesome. You are having better luck with Salmon in Lake Michigan than me and I in Alaska..LOL. Good stuff
You’ve matured a lot over the years. I’m happy for ya man! Keep up the great work!

“First time doing this by myself”
Camera man: ):
first time doing it not guided
That’s exactly what I thought too lol
Pretty sure he meant without a guide but take it as literal as you want I guess lol
Timothy Patton we all know he meant without a guide lol
Just watched the first episode about an hour ago. Good too see perics still with us. Best of luck on your journey guy!
Man these shorter vids keep me wishing for more! Seems like this will be a great little series, cool idea alex 👍🤙

Fish on is the expression 👍 great videos

Side note, love the big lake stuff. Super entertaining, something about peric up north.

The lake Michigan milestone trip
most down to earth UA-camr ever.
Peric Next time pat down the fillets with a towel gets the moister out keeps the meat firm doesnt get mushy! hows the boat so far.??
1st fish was a coho second was a king salmon.
Michigan took all of our king salmon from CA lol. The population is healthier in Michigan than it is in CA where they are endangered.
I thought coho looked different. And both fish looked the same. Dont Coho have an entirely different pattern and color?
@@JasperLeroux kings have black gums and only the second fish had black gums. coho's have more blue backs and the first fish had a very blue back.
Josh Black what do you mean Michigan took all the king salmon?
Crunchy Mexican
All their original brood stock came from California
Port is by me!!!! So cool wish I could have been on the water!
Love seeing my hometown fish feeding others
Second fish was definitely a King you can tell from the black mouth. Nice job 👍
Looks like a blast bro . Your content has been fire recently 🔥
Love the videos ur putting out
Enjoying this series!
The sheer excitement on perics face when he hooks up
Nice fish, I was waiting from that ending of last video.
How is ap not at 1 mil yet the content is so good
Thanks bro keep those videos coming
Is there a promo code we can use if we are buying a Lund boat?
I had to escape from the world, so I came to AP!
What do u guys recommend To use in port Washington for some big kings?
Were you in new buffalo St Joe area on the trip?
This is a cool series.
AP is the kind of guy two hop a fence with to filet knives
Actually liking this series, keep it up peric!
I wish I could hear the phone call of Spencer yelling at you saying everything you did wrong
Are you going all the way around Lake Michigan?
AP is the goat! Have you found your hat yet ? lol
Best content you’ve ever made
Yo I missed you!!! I live two blocks away from the marina in Port 😂
Never go into neutral while trolling while u have other lines in the water makes for a huge tangle
No it just makes them sink more
Yee Yee ya they sink and tangle up.
Depends how many rods you’re running
