From us at Berserker Fire Service this is a major step forward to keeping fire fighters safe. One thing we would like to say is that we had the twin impellor on our unit and we actually replaced it with a cast iron wet end pump kit from Pumps Australia in WA and we have much better pressure with the big single impellor with pressures up to 150psi. We would be more than happy to show you its capability when you are in Rockhampton

In theory every appliance should be put over a weighbridge to make sure they are within GVM. This is unlikely to happen because many would fail. This is a huge risk that is ignored by QFES.
Some great ideas on this appliance. I particularly like the drip torch fuel tank...clever.

@@bretthovey5634 are you sure that just because they aren't registered they don't have to comply? Where did you get that info? I look forward to the commissioner using that defense in the coroner's court :o(

@@bretthovey5634 I am a 30 year rural and I doubt "we don't have to comply" would hold up in coroner's court. But I am no expert. Based on what you are saying, we can speed and run red lights too. So which parts of the act must we comply with and which can we ignore?

@@SirSteveDavis ok so how can I buy an ex rural truck with no compliance plates for the removal of a front bench seat of a single cab Ute to make it a 2 seater from a 3 seater and re-laced with a single bucket seat, a Ute with a siren kit still installed, seat belts removed and others completely inoperable these are the things I got fined for after buying the Ute and RFS wiped their hands of this $600 and 4 points so please don’t tell me that RFS vehicles comply, which was a teir 2 defective vehicle
