    I have always owned an iPhone ever since the first Gen iPhone but when my iPhone 6 Plus got soaked in water I had to buy a new iPhone so I thought. But I kept seeing on UA-cam talking about the Pixel 2 XL and out of curiosity I picked it up as my daily driver and ever since then I never looked back on the iPhone.
    I don't see myself ever switching to an iOS phone because the software limitations are just too restrictive. I feel claustrophobic using it.
    The Pixel makes my life easier. due to the small enhancements that you don't realize you need until you live without it.
    People are mad because they try the Pixel, and then when they go back to the iPhone it feels like a dumb phone 😂

    I have used both iPhone for work and Android for personal use for the last 10 years and Android is much better in many ways. I now have the Pixel 7 pro and it is awesome.

    The thing is Apple used to be the superior system because it was light years ahead of android because of its reliability and support. I got my first iPhone in 2016 and got a 5s. Back then it was hands down better in every way to android. Now, 8 years later iPhone has become unreliable and has more issues. Pixels aren’t perfect but they are always trying to innovate, something Apple hasn’t done since the iPhone X. Android has evolved so much and has way more customization. Not only that, but now has equally as much support and tbh I enjoy android way more. iOS has gotten stale and boring and that’s why each year more and more iPhone users are switching to Pixels.

      Actually that's what I was thinking, Google focuses on actual useful innovative AI features on their Pixels. While Apple just promises you not to be the green bubble if you commit to their ecosystem.

    Long time Apple fan boy but now full Android fan here. I'm talking since the inception of the iPhone 3G to the iPhone 8 roughly. Yes, the walled Apple ecosystem can be hard to leave but it was ultimately worth it in the end for me. Since making the switch from iPhone to Android I've been able to do everything iPhone can do, and more. The main downside being the Pixel's dont have as great as the iPhone's battery life or video shooting.
    Regardless of those issues, I've since mained the Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 4a, and currently a Pixel 6 Pro for another month while I wait for my Pixel 8 Pro to arrive. Needless to say, even though the iPhone is still king in a few areas, it is still a decent enough video/battery on the Pixel that it's a equally great option too for the average consumer.
    In conclusion, I have been loving many of the features Google has to offer with each phone iteration; everything from voice dictation to the AI photo features. I'm looking forward to see what they bring into the next couple generations of the Pixel.

    One trick i learned a few years ago for fingerprint sensors. Create 2 profiles in the setting and use the same thumb. Create another 2 profiles and use your other thumb.
    Its not perfect but it only takes a second to do it and it works flawlessly every time.
    My husband has scars on his fingers and that solved his problems completely with the sensor not working well every time.

    I was an avid apple user until my iPhone got into an accident one day.
    My housemate lent me his spare android phone till I could find a phone on sale (aka wait till black Friday)
    Found that android is much more productive and accessible.
    Some functions that would take 2 steps on iPhone could be done in 1 on Android. It's like how Windows have a right click, while macs you have to move the mouse cursor to the menu option on top to access the same menu option

    Yeah, it's so weird because the Samsung messaging app does support Google rcs, but for whatever reason sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And it's definitely on the Samsung side and yes, it's annoying as hell. Sometimes i message my friend who has an s24 and it's rcs chat, sometimes it's not

      RCS on Samsung messages is Carrier specific since the default messaging app on Galaxy is Google Messages now.

  • @SpiderC-666
    @SpiderC-666 4 місяці тому +1

    Trading value btw old iPhone and Android phones is quite drastic. You can trade 2 years old iPhone with any carriers and still get a good bargain at $200 but try that with 2 years old Android phones where you're lucky you get $50 or less. So, if you think iPhone is more expensive, then yes you are right. But when you trigger a trade in option, you'll get more money back from iPhone which means the pricing is pretty much similar.

    Rocking the iPhone 14 pro for my personal phone and the regular pixel 8 for my work phone. Chose the non-pro due to compact size as an upgrade to my already big size android phone poco f3. iPhone 14 was my first iPhone. Decided to make the switch 2 years ago as all my family has been using an iPhone. Been enjoying the pixel 8 so far. It's an amazing phone especially with the camera but i think for someone who is looking for performance, S24 is the better choice. Not saying that pixel is bad either but S24 totally outperform in that department. For my everyday use of social media and web browsing, had no issue so far.

    In my opinion, the best option about Android phone is bigger battery at maybe $300 less than iPhone. That's the option I'd consider before investing $700 vs $1,000.

    99% of the time when an Android user is not on RCS it's because 1) They don't know what RCS really is. 2) Their phone's manufacturer put them on their homemade (bloatware) texting app that doesn't support RCS. For many Android users, they have to actually download and install Google Messages to be put on RCS. And Samsung's are notorious for this.

    Your demonstration with fingerprint unlock isn't fair as on iPad you are properly resting the entire finger's surface whereas on Pixel you are resting just the tip of the finger which isn't correct.

    • @ardentlytech
      @ardentlytech  5 місяців тому +1

      Yeah the clip that ended up getting used wasn’t the best one after seeing it again! Thanks for pointing that out. That said there there are times when the pixel just won’t read my prints after a few attempts and I have to enter my password. Seems to happen more at night, not sure if that has anything to do with it. But there are also times when it’s just as fast as Touch ID on my iPad if not faster

      Not that you're wrong, but coming from an iPhone, Touch ID was something that worked extremely well regardless of how you placed your finger on the button. Yes, I realize this is a display reader but from an iPhone users perspective, you don't need to place your finger perfectly to unlock.

    I really like and enjoyed your video and how honest you were I'm much like you but the other way around I've always been an Android user have a lot of phones in my arsenal I do have an iPhone 14 plus first iPhone I've ever had or owned in my life. always wanted to see what Apple and iOS had to offer I really tried to make it my daily driver but after 3 months couldn't do it anymore.But I do keep it around for family reasons but as of now my daily driver is my S24 Plus and my side piece is my pixel 8 Pro also have the Motorola Razr Plus. And of course my Nothing Phone. Keep up the good work. Oh yeah I wanted to mention once iOS 18 comes out there's going to be a lot of things that the iPhone is going to implement that's going to make it a lot easier for me to use my phone 14 plus. Can't wait to be able to customize my home screen without All the workarounds. And I hate the way Apple nickel and dime you to death 😢

      @@katinasoutherland7693 there's a common theme here. It's obvious that he prefers the plus phones.. And no need for the pro iPhone when he has all those good android phones, plus a P8P. And if you don't really like or prefer ios then there's no reason to spend extra for the pro. He said it's just to communicate with his family. My opinion is F (forget) family and they can use those trash phones. There is nothing need then the Pixel experience and you will never know what that is until you see for yourself. Pixel phones just do everything you need right as you need it. It's literally today's best Personal Data Assistant. None of the iPhones can compare. Something so simple as "now playing" is something you don't know you want and need until you have it. Loving my P8P and will be trading it for the smaller P9P in a few months!
