I have been coaching post players for 30 years. We certainly agree on what you presented. But I must compliment you for how clearly you explain this. Would love to see you do some videos on the moves from this point. Nice job coach
how do i be stronger when i'm pound dribbling in the post? i find myself getting stuck in the same place constantly and not knowing what to do with it, so i just chuck it up and brick- are there any tips for me to stop getting stuck & cut off by my defender?
I know I’m here late but I wish my passer could see this, and understand to pass the ball to which ever hand I have in air, not straight into the defender lol 😂 it’s truly a lost skill these days
I love how well you explain it. Most videos just rush though it or speak in a manner that new players can't understand as well. You make it so easy to understand, thank you for this video it really helps.
You can push from the shoulder to ur elbow like a battering ram but you cannot push with only ur shoulder ie lowering your shoulder, and you cannot push with your elbow ie you are stabbing with ur elbow
Why is the low post called "low post"? Why the word-choice "post"? Way back when basket ball was first becoming a thing, why do you suppose the word "post" was chosen?
Excellent advice. I just wish he would remember that not everyone who plays basketball is a man. Instead of saying "the man" I would prefer he said the defender or other player.

These NBA JR videos are so well done. The shot form one is really great too.
This is the best explanation of how to post up I’ve ever heard.
