I've since fine tuned the hell out of it and my railjack is able to take on anything and everything thrown at it, but it was your video that made it possible to get to this point. With a good npc defender and engineer and/or good team HP don't really matter much, while AW speed buff lets you keep objectives like shipkiller out of aggro range and still get to them fast. But yea, there's no real meta aura, all of them have pros and cons.
@@nebufabu on the other hand, if you have all that health and armor, you can park right at the door and just tank all the damage, which is what I do with my maxed Lavan plating.
If you're new and not getting anywhere in RJ missions, assign a crew member to repair before any other role. He'll never run out of the repair material and will always repair breaches quickly unless you get boarded and he gets killed, which is rare. This will keep you alive and free to fight the enemy ships, etc... until you can rank up your RJ to run higher missions.
You want to get Vidar shields with "50 shields for kills" perk because that perk bypasses shield recharge delay and allows your shields to regen immediately after scoring single kill
Shatter burst instantly removes shields from grineer crew ships. I don't care for cheap shot mods because every time you refill the max count goes up, after just a few of refills you don't have to worry about ammo anymore and that stays with you until you go back to the dock. All those archwing bonuses don't seem useful yet until we actually have a mission that makes use of the archwing.
To remove the shield from a Crewship just use Shatter Burst (for the corpus you need to detonate Shatter Burst behind the Crewship). Then you can save 1 slot by removing Ordnance Cheap Shot, you don't need it anymore ;)

I was able to complete the new war without an upgraded railjack. Wasn't difficult. So if you are upgrading solely for that, maybe wait on upgrading till you have extra endo.
You can beat the new war with a basic railjack. I know from experience. However I do want to make mine better anyway because I have been struggling on other missions
If anyone is building specifically for new war then you don't need that good of a build, you can respawn quite a lot for some reason in the rail jack parts. If you want to do call of the tempestarii however I suggestgoing for a very good build since I died very quickly on that quest with the same build I used for new war
If you don't have Lavos or Hildryn (Hildryn because of how her costs work can do amazing burst of damage in the beginning, but suffers if that burst isn't enough) or Protea's Dispensary in the Helminth, any frame with lots of energy could work. (you can get away with 200-300 depending on the intrinsics, but 600+ is better) You'll need pizzas and/or forge to fight, but it's not really that big a deal unless you're going for a marathon farm. Ivara Prime is particularly nice on Grineer maps, they're small enough that just prowling to objectives can be fast. (Or you can drop a mech, if you have it. also good way to move between vaults in RJ spy. ) Banshee also can work wonders and not just for the lich maps. Veil survival is amazing for intrinsics, there's no ind extraction, but there's also unlimited XP range (I believe "affinity range" abilities are still capped, but not XP gains themselves.) And deployable mechs. With booster, you can get 80-100 intrinsic XP per an AABC run with a random team.

Hey idk how you survive void fissure missions with this build but my Railjack has 7000 armor 8000 HP (Hull) and 4000 shield. The mod config. does not have any turret mods. Mostly Ordance, Artillery and speed mods. I use Seeker Volley as battle mod combined with Lavos and nobody ever uses the turrets so that makes them useless. Your HP and Armor are really low.
my buddy has a glowing aura around his RJ. he said he thinks he did tempastarri quest to get it. i just did it, and didn’t get that aura stuff. anyone else have it ?

I would take iron clad matrix over raider matrix, the extra health and armor is super noticeable

Yeah, archwing isn't used enough to justify those mods, because to get to the objective you use the slingshot and the get back you use omnitool.

The slot you have hyperstrike in, whenever I put a mod in that slot it goes away when I close the menu. It's like I can't have anything in that slot

Cruising speed is wasted slot you pretty much boost 100% of the time. Cruising speed does absolutely nothing while boosting.
