Get one of those articulating wall mounted TV arms, the tv will be off the table and you can use it to cover the fuse box fixture in the corner by angling the screen in that corner.

To complete the room, consider a velvet Elvis painting or a tapestry with the dogs playing poker.
The brighter side of painting together is that you both make the same inexperienced mistakes all of us have made....so we watch with baited breath, then LOL
greetings folks; an idea is: save your ceiling tiles by getting some more of the 2 foot cross pieces and add them halfway, then cut the 2 x 4 ceiling tiles to fit in the 2 x 2 holes. i have never seen the 2 x 2 tiles sag but the 2 x 4 tiles always do...............g

Nice Job! White Board Tip: When the board gets "cloudy" from repeated writing/erasing, spray it with "Tuff Stuff" which you can get at the Auto Parts store. It's a great all purpose cleaner (Great on sneakers) and will get the board pristine white again.

I have no idea why UA-cam algorithms suggested your channel, but I sure am glad it did! You guys are a refreshing wholesome hard working Midwestern couple and I can't wait to see what you do next! Who knew farming could be this entertaining!? A wall mount for that TV is like $15 and very easy to install and would free up that coffee table.
Lights are available the size of those tile it’s nice we install those all the time
In the winter time I would put plastic to cover up the cold from getting in, and maybe put some cabinets in for storage and snacks, an old Mr coffee pot and a small college refrigerator, just a thought. 🤜🤛

Wow! Congratulations on your new room and sticking with the budget! Sticking to the budget seems to be the hardest task! Us girls just converted an old hog barn into a dog barn! Budgeting was quite difficult, but a great experience for us! Have a blessed week!
As a remodeling contractor, watching this project made my head hurt. 😀. It was, however, fun to watch, and it looks good in the end. 👊
Ceiling tiles are not a structural item, therefore never hang anything from them. Regular ceiling tiles are not made to withstand higher humidity areas, that’s why they bowed. Love the final look! Y’all did a great job!
They are acoustic tiles, meant to reduce sound 'bounce' and give a slightly quieter room.
The renovations hit home. I'm a milk hauler working 6-7 days a week and over the last year I've turned an empty bedroom into a huge master bathroom, replumbed the entire house and did almost all of it myself for the wife and I. 4'x7' shower, jacuzzi tub, double vanity, and it's nearly complete hopefully a year later to the day.
We won't talk about the budget but we saved a ton of money and the two parts we paid to have done (shower tile and custom glass front) cost as much as everything else I did on my own. Looking forward to painting in a week!
When I first got married I got sucked into doing home improvement projects with my new wife, there's this thing called "cutting in", so when you start to paint, you do all your edges with a paint brush going 2" in on both sides of whatever seam, edge you are doing, then when you break out the roller! Katey bar the Door! You just go up to that line and you can SMOKE your way through rolling on paint! Great job on your sale and your office project.

Cleaning your new whiteboard trick. You don't need any fancy 'whiteboard cleaners' from Expo. A rag and isopropyl alcohol works just fine.

get an extension pole for your paint roller. so much easier. also go a bit slower if you don't want it to spit paint flecks all over your floor, which you probably don't care about lol

Love the Scottsbluff county plate I was born in Scottsbluff and my dad moved us to Oregon a month after I was burn 48 years ago. Still have family in Nebraska and hopefully I will get back there soon. Ĺast time was in 2000

As a builder in the trades for 50 years I appreciate your do it yourself spirit. On the other hand if you go to craigs list you will find retired construction workers who will do a great job for very little $ just to keep busy. You are aces at farming best stick to what you are good at. I don't grow my own corn. I do recommend some vinyl lock together flooring for your office as it is cheep looks great and is easy to install . I live on maui if I had known you were visiting I would have told you about some secrete spots maybe next time.
Garage floor paint with the chips would really help(BEFORE BASE TRIM) and it will looking put together. Enjoy your vids.

Home Depot has flush mount ceiling lights that replace those ceiling tiles. They are LED to save ya some cash too.

Pro tip. Pour the paint into a larger bucket and use a painters grid to roll the brush on. The job goes three times faster

You need a outdoors title for the ceiling. I work put up ceiling like that for 15/years . You can also use 1/4 inch plywood painted.

buy a little floor paint and it will change the whole room and make it easy to clean.
Great job on the Remodel it looks Great. TV DO NOT USE IT if the room is not heated all the time when it gets very cold Because, when it goes from to Cold to Hot on the inside of it , it will create condensation and will damage it or it may cause a fire.

I was in Aurora Nebraska doing a 5 day bicycle ride. We had ridden the last 50 miles went to our room to shower and drive back to N Illinois. As we were leaving I could see big nasty clouds forming to the west.I said to my friend we need to get going. We did outrun the storm but the next morning as I was drinking coffee and reading the paper I read that the biggest hail stone ever measured in the U S had fallen in the parking lot of a motel in Aurora Nebraska.

Do old barn wood for your trim, I did that in my house turned out amazing.
Y'all did a good job, looks great, cool color too. Next time though if you use an empty 5 gal bucket to put the paint in, and buy a roller screen, and a roller pole, it makes it all so much easier, faster and cleaner. And its still cheap. Those flat roller trays are so messy and just a pain. Also if u wanna take it to the next level one more thing u could do to make a big difference is change those faceplates(outlets and light switch covers) to a brighter white.
