- In this video I show you a in depth tutorial on how to swap/upgrade your door panels for a 2nd gen s197 to a 1st gen
There have been videos displaying the swap but not doing a step by step on how I decided to do a tutorial of what you exactly need to do to get the panels to fit

7mm socket (extension recommended)
T15 torque bit
T25 torque bit
(2) small flathead screwdrivers
Dremel w cutting wheel
There are at times I mention to unplug certain things like the speaker I was looking at the speaker and just said what came to my mind only thing you should unplug is the harness for your door handle and window switches

Does the mirror switch housing from the 05-09 still fit with the newer door panels? I just did this swap and can’t get that piece to clip in the right way so I’m not sure if I need to get the newer piece
I had the same issue with the passenger side my driver side is good try putting it in at a angle instead of straight forward I do plan on getting the new switch housing but there’s some wiring and drilling you have to do stay posted just waiting to find some on eBay for a deal or WrenchAPart any other questions dm my insta isaac.h_nojos and I can explain better though there
You ahould be able to take out the wire harness from your old driver seat and put on the wire harness into your new 2014 seat i did it on mine when i switch my seats to 2012 gt500 seats
I appreciate that Boss I’ll check it out! and those gt500 seats were the goal!! But I didn’t wanna pay that much for them
@@FlacoFadez04 of course man anytime took me and my friend like 1 hour to take all the harnesses off super simple . And yeah I found a complete set of front and rear gt500 seats brand new basically for stupid cheap so couldn't pass on the opportunity haha
