- Iran is reportedly downplaying the role played by a Turkish drone in finding the crash site of late President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter. The Iranian military said the wreckage of the helicopter was detected by Iranian drones equipped with synthetic-aperture radars (SAR)
Iran’s claims appear to counter Turkish media reports saying the Bayraktar Akinci UAV had identified "a source of heat suspected to be wreckage.”
In a statement released on May 22, the Iranian Army’s General Staff gave details of the search operation to locate the missing helicopter. It said advanced Iranian drones equipped with SARs were not immediately deployed as they were further away from the crash zone.
The Iranian military said that given the circumstances, Iran agreed to take help from the neighbouring and friendly country of Turkey for the search operation. The statement noted that although the Turkish drone was equipped with night-vision and thermal optical devices, it failed to detect the crash site.

As a Turkish person i must say we don't even consider Iran as a threat. If there was a war we would win it without any question but not without casualties especially civilians. We don't want to add more suffering to this world as it is already full of suffering everywhere so we want to keep good relations with Iran even if they are Shia. When they refused, they asked us for help, but after we found it, they announced that they had found it themselves. They made a statement that the Turkish unmanned aerial vehicle returned unsuccessfully because it was not equipped to detect and control the points under the cloud. Could of put both countries payload on a manned Helicopter and the better payload still wins. In short the vehicle is obsolete in this case. Optical payload is the most expensive system on this category of drone.

These lies can only deceive the Iranian people. Millions have followrd rescue live from the Turkish drone camera. It was a live broadcast for about 7 hours.
Let's conspire, Iran has the technology to detect the wreckage, however it would be better to be detected and broadcasted by someone who is not part of Iranian inside politics as to not to escalate a further tension in society or groups. Who would smart Iranian people called ? Türkiye.

The Iranian military stated that although Turkey sent a Bayraktar Akinci drone equipped with night-vision and thermal cameras to assist in the search for the crashed helicopter carrying President Raisi, the Turkish drone failed to detect the wreckage.
Iran said it agreed to accept help from Turkey due to the urgency of the situation, but Iranian drones equipped with synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) eventually located the crash site.
The Iranian military claimed its own drones, which were further away initially, were ultimately responsible for finding the wreckage.
This appears to be a point of contention, as Turkish media had earlier reported the Akinci drone identified a heat source suspected to be the crash site and shared the coordinates with Iranian authorities
However, Iran is now downplaying the Turkish drone's role in the search.
Turkish drones came 10 hours later. No matter how far iranian drones were, they should've been there.
