      dude
      world record american shad is 15lbs caught off the Atlantic coast (sea?)
      On the Kansas state records, I find no entry for American Shad.
      YOu might have the unofficial state record.

    Here in Wisconsin we carry bags of sand and blocks for the tires so the truck will not slide back when loading and unloading the boat. If you hook up a rope between the blocks and the back bumper, it makes it easy to drive forward by your self because it will pull the tire block with you.There are plenty wall of shame pictures of trucks that have gone in a the launches at the early and late season fishing spots. You should see the at the launch we call the Genoa ski jump, at a old power plant on the Mississippi river it is the steepest we have ever seen and drops in to a deep water side channel. You were very smart to shovel that deep of snow, that was to deep, you just needed a bag of sand. It is against the law to use salt in some places because of course it ends up in the lake water, and that is not good.

  • @joepalyun686
    @joepalyun686 5 років тому +2

    I winter fished a lot in the 80s & 90s and learned I needed to keep salt sand and tire chains on the truck. Chains on the front wheels when the lake got a south wind saved my but a few times.

    It looks like the white bass you caught looks like a fish we have in NewEnglands ocean water. I am speaking of a striped bass. I know they have stocked hybrids of the striped in fresh water. I live in New Hampshire and have fished both from a boat and in the surf. Your white bass look exactly like the smaller strippers. I enjoy every show you do. I do more fresh water more than salt and since I am now retired I get to fish a lot more. Glad to see someone who enjoys fishing
