Since you are new to excavators, I'll give you a few tips. Make sure you dig over the blade side of the tracks. Try not to dig over the drive motors. It puts more wear on them when you do that. Also, don't ram the boom sideways into stuff. I did that and ruined the swing motor on my bobcat. It sent a bunch of metal flakes throughout the machine and was about a 3k repair.
@SpicerDesignsLLC You are welcome. Do what you want with your machine, though. It's yours, not mine. They are expensive enough and I don't want you to have unnecessary expenses or repairs.
see the thumb as a picking tool, the first tree you pull the tree... there is a way with your bucket. orient your teeth toward the tree, wedge the tree between the tooth and then rotate left or right, then curl your bucket back in order to wrap the tree and you can pull really hard. faster than using the thumb and you wont bend/break it. the last test you did with the beer, i would like to see it faster to compare with Kubota's machine. im willing to work on my machine and to modify them. but im not willing to have slower machine. great video!
Id like to try to do that. I was looking at that the other day. I think im going to move the two speed foot pedal to the joysticks and add foot pedal ls for the tracks. Problem is limited space. But yes im with ya.
I am a little late to the show just found your channel love it is kymron going to up grade to joystick thumb functions for the hydraulic thumb and boom swing thanks Pat
Thanks! I did talk to the owner about that and he said its an expensive process. Its bot currently an option that the factory is offering. I do plan on upgrading mine to thumb controls. But i may upgrade to a larger unit so im holding off for now.
I may not be the first one to say it but for safety as you are digging, your push blade should be towards your digging area, it will prevent you from flipping forward for the most part and it will also help to keep you in place as you dig. I really do like how that machine looks and operates, you did do a great review on it, and can't wait to see what's next.
Great review. I think the upgrade to the joy stick is gonna be the bomb. The stock one bites. The extension on the tracks is awesome. This machine is like stuff from harbor freight .. not always a top pic for some. But will do what you need it to do for you. And at half the cost for home use. Looks like a great deal. Excited to see you making more videos on this. And by the way I am in no way saying anything negative about harbor freight. Love some of their tools. And some are one times users 😂 I have both 😊

Something to consider.

To be fair, less cost upfront and lower resale go hand in hand. The other issue is people going to auctions and paying too much for clapped out junk machines, and people interpret that as holding value because the machine is better.
I think the machine will be great. Your upgrades will make the machine much easier to control. I personally hate foot controls for movements such as the thumb. One question I have is, can the pressure of the thumb be made adjustable? This would be a great feature handling smaller wood items as not to snap them in half. Kyle, did you ever figure out how to, or if you could, upgrade the joysticks? Looking at buying the exact same machine, but I really hate that foot control. but jumping up to $60k for a kobota/Bobcat is a big step for a few minor changes.
I ended up selling the joysticks i bought for it. I tried to find a diagram and had no luck. I think the parts will be well over $1k. My e35 was $60k with tax. been looking at these and from a year and a half ago when i'd only seen a few vids of european folks picking them up for homestead stuff from the ports..... to now... wow. explosion of imports. and finally i mean no offense but i feel that if you got a warranty from that dude in OK and he will legit stand by it for a few years of trouble free operation then its probably worth the price you paid, but if you can't just dump it back over there and take a new one if this one breaks then no. these are importable for around half what you paid, maybe a little more if its truly a yanmar diesel... although i may not even be that worried if its a knock off yanmar simply because the chinese knock off motors ive come into contact recently that are actual good copies of things like kawasaki motors etc have been actually very good quality. and like i said maybe the price premium is worth it simply because you don't have to dk around with transferring money to china and communication and importation stuff... so all i'll say is: get an oil analysis after 20 hours or so or whenever you do the break in change and get a clean catch sample. i believe blackstone labs might even be in your state or nearby. and do an engine oil/hyraulic fluid filter cutopen to make sure you didn't get a dud thats throwing a lot of metal into the system. odds are its probably fine but CYA. if i was dude in OK selling those i'd take each one and put 3 hours on it or something before i sold it to make sure. i've seen a bunch of photos on alibaba etc of the different suppliers of these and their similar but subtly different units they ship... this one looks like one of the better ones. at the end of the day all i can say is at least some of the IP theft thats gone on in the last 15 years re chn is coming back around to benefit the american consumer, so i suppose recouping a small amount of value in that way. cheers on the excavator
Thanks for all the insight. Ive been talkjng with Ron from Kymron for a while now, hes a pretty honest guy. been looking at these and from a year and a half ago when i'd only seen a few vids of european folks picking them up for homestead stuff from the ports..... to now... wow. explosion of imports. and finally i mean no offense but i feel that if you got a warranty from that dude in OK and he will legit stand by it for a few years of trouble free operation then its probably worth the price you paid, but if you can't just dump it back over there and take a new one if this one breaks then no. these are importable for around half what you paid, maybe a little more if its truly a yanmar diesel... although i may not even be that worried if its a knock off yanmar simply because the chinese knock off motors ive come into contact recently that are actual good copies of things like kawasaki motors etc have been actually very good quality. and like i said maybe the price premium is worth it simply because you don't have to dk around with transferring money to china and communication and importation stuff... so all i'll say is: get an oil analysis after 20 hours or so or whenever you do the break in change and get a clean catch sample. i believe blackstone labs might even be in your state or nearby. and do an engine oil/hyraulic fluid filter cutopen to make sure you didn't get a dud thats throwing a lot of metal into the system. odds are its probably fine but CYA. if i was dude in OK selling those i'd take each one and put 3 hours on it or something before i sold it to make sure. i've seen a bunch of photos on alibaba etc of the different suppliers of these and their similar but subtly different units they ship... this one looks like one of the better ones.
at the end of the day all i can say is at least some of the IP theft thats gone on in the last 15 years re chn is coming back around to benefit the american consumer, so i suppose recouping a small amount of value in that way. cheers on the excavator
Thanks for all the insight. Ive been talkjng with Ron from Kymron for a while now, hes a pretty honest guy. They just had a video explaining some of the ways they have their machines upgraded vs straight from china dealers. I did check the yanmar serial numbers and its the same yanmar they out in the Sanys. Very good points though as far as getting Chinese machines. Thanks for the comment!
Nice review. Keystone girl needs to lose the shaded
Thanks. The shades are part of the Keystone Girl. Theres a handful of videos with her in wife/ mom mode.
It is almost the same as the Cat 301.8 but blue

How price per unit
Theres a link in the description to their website. The website shows pricing on all the different models. I also said the price of my machine in the video.
I bought a takeuchi TB 230 with a Tag thumb out the door tax and everything little bit over $40,000 Southern California. Maybe I just got a great deal or a Chinese machines are not that great of a dealdeal
That does sound like a good deal. I agree with what your saying. For being a budget machine, its buy no means cheap. Some of them are.
Why is it that when someone calls your company for dealership opportunities you ignore them. Guess my money is not good enough?
Im not the dealer. I just bought one of theyre machines. If you email me i can forward it along to the owner. He pretty good about communicating. Hopefully its just a misunderstanding and you can get in touch with him.
I turned around and called that company. Was told I would be called back. As well filled out the online dealership form. Have another company want my business. I deal in four states in equipment. Hopefully your experience was better than mine.
@@thejammer3359 sorry to hear you had a bad experience. My communication has been great with them. If your still interested in can pass it along to my contact over there.
This is disturbing... pretty sure anything on that would interchange with my Kubota U25.
Yes the Kubota U25 is basically the same machine. Kinda crazy theyre using a chinese platform on that model. The Kymron has been great for me so far

All the info and links to website are in the description. Also i said the price in the video.
Why do you keep vailing down as an act? It's looks stupid! Other wise you have very content.
Im guessing you meant falling down. Some people like it some dont. Its just my personality. I like to joke around and make people laugh. Not for everyone. Hopefully you can see past it and enjoy the content.
