One of the reasons why I love this track so much is the context that changes from episode 1 to episode 2. Goes from "The final charge to eliminate the demon" to "The final charge to save your friend"
This is my absolute favorite stage theme in the whole game. I just love how ultimately final it is, in that bumpin' bad-ass 8-bit soundfont. The trumpets are probably what make it stand out so much
Oh yeah definitely, i had to take a moment to listen to it when i first played through it. i was like "Wow this whole game is anime as hell and this music just works with a dog piloting a mech while being chased by a demon batball through castlevania."
level is wild hiking for sure, but the devs arent full meanies, the last checkpoint before boss is really comfortable with ressources to stack and lives to avoid game over, all it takes to discover the final boss, learn his patterns and defeat him. Was really cool
Bloodstained is Seriously successful game at this rate,I mean it's not only the classic 8 bit vibe but also the system of the game pretty future enough,I love how the sprites are also complicated on design (bosses,or just look at Hachi's machine) making them has the same tier of 16 bit advanced games

These games basically look like 16 bit but with NES palette. It has really cool parallax scrolling, highly detailed backgrounds, some gorgeous sprites. But with keeping the NES palette limitations in mind. These mix together so well! Same is true about Shovel Knight, but I definitely prefer CotM's art style.
I am pretty sure Bloodstain 2 took the world by storm because of its 8/16bit style coming back by drove and the music in this game is pretty much the best chiptune iv ever heard. This is my opinion.
@ Same, something is a little off about Shovel Knight, but CotM just looks and feels so classic and unique at the same time. Like NES era never left and they are just moving forward with it
This is one actual banger. After completing episode 1 I was searching for this and by now it's only one in good quality. Thank you for that! And yeah they knew to put this awesomness in stage that is rock hard so you would not abandon hope.
This song fills me with so much energy! From the moment it starts to the moment it loops, it's full throttle! Easily one of the best tracks in the series!
Great job on the music, thanks for uploading for everyone! Regarding the level, I think those swarms are actually insects/bugs rather than bats. Nothing about Bloodstained really holds to the vampire theme itself but heavily draws from the Ars Goetia demonology book, where most of the bosses are taken inspiration from. The final boss of episode one appears to be Beelzebub, aka Lord of the flies, which also fits the theme of the swarm of insects chasing you down far better than bats/vampire theme.
I was literally just thinking about that while giving this OST a listen. A 16-bit game with Zangetsu slashing demons to some of that sweet red book audio would be awesome.
Same, they have taken the essence of the 8-bit era and improved so much on it. CotM 2 doesn't just feel like more of the first game, they improved so much on it. I think they can leave off the 8-bit era here knowing they had such a phenomenal conclusion to end it on. But if they did take it further, imagine all of these great characters in 16-bit glory! And imagine that sound track
@Sami This game already made it clear that there's literally no continuity inbetween CotM1 and CotM2 (or that CotM2 follows after a nonexistent ending in CotM1 where everyone makes it out alive.) I wouldn't be surprised that, if they made a CotM3, they would ignore all that happened in the final episode of CotM2 and make another self-contained game. ... All I'm wondering at this point is "Where is Johannes? When can we play as him in a CotM game?"
@@mystycitty3118Take just 2 allies and ignore one so you get an ending that doesn't contradict the continuity with CotM1 and 2. Also, RotN is in own continuity completely.
Up until this stage, I thought that Curse of the Moon 2’s soundtrack was honestly pretty mid. Nothing too great. Then, this track comes outta NOWHERE, probably becoming one of my favourite songs from either game. That says a lot too, because a majority of Curse of the Moon 1’s soundtrack was super good and memorable to boot.
I also found the first game's ost more memorable. Almost everything there felt more like... mayhaps felt more like how a classy castlevania would've sounded like. In this game I didn't feel the same joy as in the first one. But this song washes away some of its sins.
@@ShiningSpear Agreed. I don't think the first game's OST is bad, it's pretty good, but I think Curse 2 is the all-around more, consistent OST. I wish my copy of the soundtrack would arrive already. Should get the Classic Edition some time this month in the mail.
BTW, i recommend you getting the bad ending for episode 2 (don't get the swords), so that you can unlock episode EX, and once you finish episode EX, which basically has the same ending as the good ending of episode 2, you'll unlock the final episode! If you get the good ending directly, you'll only unlock the final episode and will have to replay the episode 2 again to unlock episode EX, which is quitee dumb
I don't think there's any other difference from Episode 2 (other than routes) other than the fact you're using the OG cast for Episode EX, so personally I think it's better if you finish Final first, since it's more of a change of pace. EX feels like it's there for those who want more out of the game. Playing EX AND Final seems to be the reason why most reviewers got so burnt out by the end.
@@s07195 the issue is, if you want to play everything, you will have to play the game one time more if you do good ending first, that's why if you want to do everything, it's better to get bad ending so that you can play every episodes without having to go through episode 2 two times
i know its a longshot/ pipedream but Sakurai should try and get a Bloodstained character into Smash to celebrate how great this new series is doing and how cool it is. If Miriam can't make it, Zangetsu certainly would be a fine addition. also add Gabriel/Dracula as another DLC to be the rival to Simon and Richter.
Zangetsu is probably the best thing about bloodstained, he's so overpowered in ritual of the night that just hearing about him in passing conversation with dominique sounds like a list of chuck norris facts. "Oh i forgot to mention, zangetsu can fly." Miriam: "Um...what?!" Because of fucking course he can. this game, especially the final act, just turns into "Zangetsu facts" fact#1: Zangetsu can cut the moon in half. No, seriously. he cuts the moon in half. Twice if you count the first game.
I beg of you to record songs from first and second form final boss battles. Even if there would be sound effects in the beginning. Absolutely fantastic.
I think it's actually a ball of insects. The final boss is some kind of weird bug guy, and his final form is an even bigger bug. I think it might be Baalzebub, the lord of flies? I beat his first phase with only Robert, actually, just hanging back and taking shots while dodging his bat attacks. Second phase was a problem, but I think I mostly used Hachi. I don't like to depend on his invulnerability wherever possible.

@@imjustsodamntired there seems to be no official source currently that goes either way (that i'm aware of), but I would say the evidence swings much more heavily into Beelzebub. In the first phase he holds the skulls of a man, a cat and a frog, which match the 3 heads Bael is said to have. His design (specially the second phase) is much more fly-inspired, and he wears the Demon's Crown, assumedly giving him a much higher ranking as far as demons go (and also probably why he is a final boss). He practically screams "lord of the flies"
remember too that the game's climax involves zangetsu invading an evil palace on the moon before cutting the moon in half, so yeah, big power rangers vibes.
I keep coming back to this song. CotM2's ost was pretty average but this song knocks it out of the park, incredibly intense and a true banger through and through.
CotM3 final stage prediction: Some or all of the ground (and the background walls and ceilings) fall away as you walk on/jump over them, AND the gravity is reversed the whole time from the start of the stage to the boss entrance.
@The Brilliant And Amazing Gamer Is there anyway you can upload that small 5 second song when you transition between stages? When they are camping, I mean.
While I do enjoy the OST for both 1 & 2 (and the remixes that others made). I find this track to be the odd one out. I’m not saying it bad, but this track feels more like a mega man/mega man x track (more specifically when you in wily’s base or sigma’s base). I’m guessing this track was more from Inti’s side than IGA’s side (since Inti Creates are basically former Capcom employees who worked on mega man 9,10, and mega man zero). Off that, thanks for the uploads.
Nearly everything about the 8-bit Bloodstained titles is so much more memorable and well directed in terms of music and especially the artstyle. I swear you have nothing in RotN that's on the level of the first freaking boss of CotM 2. I mean a Zombie Griffin with a gory skeleton mouth and a Xenomorph tail shooting lightning. As fine as RotN is (just fine imo) i always get a little bummed out that the 8bit spinoffs have nothing to do with it.
