- Dashboard noises and vibrations on a Laguna are common things which can be annoying but can also be easily fixed. The cockpit is a little loose near the windshield and we found out that you can just stick something in between and the vibrations will stop.
There are special products online for fixing dashboard noises and vibrations, but in this video, we work with what we have on hand. Noises have been gone since we made this video. If you try it for yourself tell us in the comments.

Exactly the same problem I had on my Laguna III, solved with applying a seal on the whole length of the cockpit. As a mention, my car was 6.5 - 7 years old when the problem appeared. :) 99% of the vibrations of the dashboard dissapeared with only 2E and 10 mins of work with all the fine-tuning for the aesthethics.
Yes these vibrations can be annoying but thankfully it's easy to fix. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience.

Thank you so much for the detailed videos of the Laguna 3. There's not much info about this car on the internet (or at least with the detail that you show), but I suspect a lot of people search for it, like I did, and will find it useful. I have subscribed and look forward for more useful videos about this car!
Unfortunately my used Laguna 3 phase 1 came with several problems, some of which I am still trying to figure out. If you know how to solve any of them, I would really appreciate if you can add a video about it:
- Left side doors keyless unlock doesn't work on both doors and I have to use the key-card to unlock it (right side and tailgate doors work);
- The fuel cap mechanism has a small plastic pin next to the actual fuel hose hole that seems to be loose, whenever I refuel I have to hold this pin up with a finger and close the fuel cap door with the other hand, otherwise it won't catch the pin and the fuel cap door won't lock. Any idea on how to solve this? The locking mechanism itself works, it seems that it is just an issue with the plastic pin. If you could do a video on the the whole mechanism (as I don't know how it is supposed to work because mine is faulty) it would be nice, maybe when I see the right way I will get an idea on how to solve it by myself;
- One of the passenger's door sunblind top anchor points is missing (that small plastic piece where the sunblind is anchored when it is up). Renault wanted to charge me a full sunblind replacement (150€) set just to solve this. Any idea on where to find this part?
- From time to time, the car displays the error message "Check vehicle", which the mechanic then checks for and finds nothing but some erratic error messages in the ECU that we know are not true because things are working . He suspects that it is a faulty ECU, but for now I won't do nothing because everything seems fine. I basically go meet him just to clear the error now. Is there anyway to clear it by myself? I have a cheap ODB2 bluetooth adapter+ Torque APP, but it is unable to clear the message from the dashboard.
Thank you very much for your feedback, that means a lot to us. It is true that there isn't much info on laguna 3 online and that is one of the reasons why we started this channel because we wanted to share our experience and hopefully help someone.
Regarding your issues we will try to do some videos as soon as possible, but in the meantime here are some things you can do:
Keyless unlock: Problem could be in faulty sensors, but often the problem is in the reflecting material placed on the inside of the door handle, on the opposite side of the sensor. This material can get scratched and lose his reflecting ability. You can test that easily with a piece of aluminum foil placed on the inside of the door handle and then try to unlock your keyless on that place.
Fuel cap: This pin should be able to move up and down. No matter in what position it’s in, the fuel cap door has the part on the inside which guides the pin so it can close properly. Maybe the problem is on the cap door - check if maybe something is broken on the inside.
Sunblind: We didn’t manage to find it online, but you can maybe check some local dealers who deal with crashed cars and parts.
Error: Unfortunately we don’t know of any free software that could solve this.

@Luis. Hi, we think that problem is in reflecting material and to solve it try to stick a new part of the reflecting material on the inside of the door handle. Glue it or use some self adhesive material if you can. We hope you will solve this problem. Good luck.
@@BbrosAuto thank you once again for helping out! I will do so. Just a small detail, when you mention "a new part of the reflecting material", what is this exactly? A new part from Renault? Or a workaround like the aluminum foil? If it is the second, what do you think might be the most durable material?
@Luis. Personally I would use aluminum foil or maybe aluminum tape. Anyway use quality water resistant glue and it should be fine. Good luck and tell us how it went.
Nu funcționează in orice situație, dar este posibil sa o rezolvi asa. Prima data am schimbat suporții motor, este unul in partea dreapta, cum privești din mașină, si mao este unul care susține cutia de viteze, se afla pe partea stânga, cum privești din mașină. Dar, in interiorul bordului se afla ceva deranjant, cred ca este sistemul de ventilație, acela atinge undeva. Succes!

Hi Pedro, thank you. The height of the rubber is 14 mm and the width is 9 mm. You can use a bit wider material if it's flexible. Hope you'll fix it, let us now how it goes.

@Yanni Sie your welcome. The original purpose of this item we used in the video is to be put on sharp edges to provide protection and we don't know where it can be buyed. Zdravo. Kako se zove kod vas ova guma, ne mogu naci na internetu. Nije kao keder za vrata ali slicno je.
I cut up some heat shrink rubber tubing and slid it into the cracks in the dash with a butter knife. I used about 2 dozen 20mmX20mmX1mm pieces of rubber tubing. Took care of the problem for years. Renault - you really should have coated the dash panels with rubber before installing them like every one else does.
Yes, it can be really annoying. Luckily it can be fixed as you did.
Great video, I have the same problem, but the noise varies from Dashboard around the radio and the left A pillar. Maybe this will do the trick;-) I also noticed it to be a little different with warm weather:-)

1. The front passenger door behaves weirdly：when unlocking the doors with Renault card，all doors are unlocked except for this door. Only when you put the Renault card near the front passenger door and press twice，then it will unlock. Also when you lock the doors with the only button inside the car when engine is on，the front passenger door can still be opened.
2. In the manual it says that because of the tyre pressure sensor，we should always go to a Renault dealer to change the tyres. Does it mean that if I go to a random garage to change tyres ，the sensor will be destroyed easily？

1. This is odd. We didn't have a similar problem so, unfortunately, we can't tell you how to fix it on your own. Best to go to the car electrician to check it.
2. I don't think it can be destroyed that easily, but it depends on the garage you take your car to. Renault dealers are probably a bit more expensive compared to the random garage but should be more trustworthy. If you choose to go somewhere else, make sure that the garage is a good one, and tell them that you have the sensors.

Do you have any fix for back seat sounds coming from scenic 3? It sounds like metal to metal scratches.
We have Grand Scenic 3 for 3-4 years now, but we don't have this problem. Since Scenic has 3 individual back seats,
maybe it would be best to find out from which is the sound coming from and if it can be heard when seats are folded down.
When you figure that out you can check all the touching points of that seat while it is in normal position.

1. Postoji li mogućnost montaže aux ili usb ulaza u lagunu 3? Probao sam sa FM transmitterom, ali kvaliteta zvuka jako je loša.
2. Možete li mi reći kada kupim DVD za navigaciju, da li je njega potrebno non stop držati u utoru za CD ili se mapa jednostavno skine i pohrani na navigaciju (imam multimediju bez joysticka).
3. Ponekad se vrata suvozača ne žele zatvoriti (centralno zaključavanje) iz prvog pokušaja nego iz petog ili šestog pokušaja kako se taj problem može riješiti ili je potreban odlazak serviseru?
4. Da li se isplati ugraditi zadnji parkirni senzor? Koliko bi taj manevar koštao?
Novopečeni sam vlasnik Renault Lagune 3, a informacija na internetu baš i nema.

1. Što se tiče aux ili usb ulaza nisam siguran jer nemam osobnog iskustva u tako nečemu, ali mislim da ne postoji nekakvo praktično rješenje da se to ubaci u postojeći sustav osim tako nekakvim uređajima kao što su fm transmitteri, ali kao što si rekao i sam tu je kvaliteta zvuka uglavnom loša.
2. Osobno sam imao multimediju bez joysticka na laguni 2 (2005 godište) i morao sam držati cd sa mapama u utoru za cd kada bih koristio navigaciju tako da mislim da će i kod tebe biti isti slučaj.
3.Možda ima nekakve prljavštine u mehanizmu zbog koje se ne želi zaključati svaki puta. Probao bih na tvome mjestu očistiti i podmazati mehanizam. Vjerojatnije mi je da je mehanički nego električki problem u pitanju s obzirom na to kako si opisao problem.
4.Ugradnja senzora ne mora biti skupa ukoliko bi to radio sam. Koliko sam gledao po netu može se naći set senzora već od 10-ak dolara pa na više. Nisam nikada ugrađivao senzore tako da ti ne mogu preporučiti neko kvalitetno a povoljno rješenje, ali mislim da se može naći nešto povojno što će raditi dobro.
Kao vlasnik takvog auta znam da informacija na internetu uglavnom nema ili su nepotpune.

Aux imas u pretincu izmedu siceva , ali ako imas bluetooth spoji se mobitelom i rjesio si muziku .a preko moba i navigaciju ,google je tocniji od garmina i daje rute u skladu s stanjem i guzvom na cesti ,.. a bravu mjenjaj prosla je svoje
@@sasazestic455 ja sam probao preko bluetootha ali pazi moze samo pozivi da se izvrsavaju razgovori ovako ne. A kazi mi za aux vidim imam kablic ispred suvozacevog sedista u kaseti da li se tu ubacuje u onaj kao crni uredjaj pa se posle izvuce kabli napolje da kupim duzi kablic :D

Would inserting that put pressure on windshield glue? And loosen the windshield?
We did it on a friend's Laguna four years ago with the same material and it hasn't loosen up.

Sun light will expand the dashboard and with this rubber metal thing will increase presure on windshield .... I guess something just rubber material is better choise.

Zanimljivo rješenje. Kod mene na istoj Laguni ne rade stražnji parking senzori, prednje nema. Postoji li nekakvo brzo rješenje za to poput ovoga? Radili su normalno do prije koji mjesec, sada kada ubacim u R čujem samo pip i ništa više... 2.0 dci 150ks automatik. Hvala!

The problem here is not the dashboard. The cause is the engine mount. The silent blocks are worn here.
I did this some time ago and it was better. But the noise also come from the area around the radio and climate control. This is problem with all Laguna cars. Cheap plastic get loose with time.
Yeah, this helps with vibrations behind the steering wheel and on top of the dashboard. The plastic around the radio, as you said, really is bad and so is the armrest part. We have some noise in that area also and that is the next thing we'll have to deal with.

Imam kameru za lagunu koja se montira na svjetlo za tablicu i kabel koji ide na navigaciju ali neznam jos kako da izvadim navigaciju. Mogu vam dati linkove gde sam narucio kameru i adapter. @denis213 Može linkovi, pa ako budemo instalirali kameru sigurno ćemo snimiti. Kod skidanja navigacije treba prvo demontirati radio, dio iznad radija gdje su kontrole klime i ona dva ukrasna dijela lijevo i desno od ekrana. Hvala za subscribe : )

@denis231 Puno hvala na linkovima, ali nisam siguran da li će funkcionirati u mom slučaju, jer koliko vidim taj adapter je za media nav sustav, a kod mene u laguni je tom tom live. Ovaj na videu je opet stariji sustav koji je koristio cd čitač za navigaciju.

Why you didn't show the results after installation?
The vibrations in our car were not really as loud as in the car we mentioned in the beginning of the video so we didn't manage to capture a distinct difference with our recording equipment.
How do you take one out of there?
It can be taken out easily, you can use a screwdriver or something like that to hook it on one end and pull it out by hand.
Does anyone have noises next to the gps? I can’t make them disappear

I do, always while in low rpm and drives me nuts. When I place my hand on central console noises disappear.
@@Nightik7 I place foam having disassembled the counter on the right. then I put foam on the cover of the central enclosure. to finish I changed the filters cabin. for the moment I hear no more noise
Lagunas are very bad cars overall, they run their owners into misery; everything in them breaks down or is about to,i've seen bad turbos,engines,6 speed gearboxes, key cards,doors,windows, wiring,sensors,ECUs under the battery with bad plugs and lots of codes etc
edit: great video,i never thought of that for the dash vibrations,will give it a try.

Nama stoji već par godina i nema nikakvih problema. Mislim da to nije dovoljno jak pritisak da utječe na šajbu. Dovoljno je zagurati nešto (po mogućnosti od gume) da malo popuni prostor da dashboard ne pušta zvukove. Hvala na gledanju! :)
