Man I worked hard on those transitions, it's still not easy, got some work to do, Noah really is an innovative vocalist, learning a lot from him already! Really appreciate you taking the time to listen ☺️
@@CJ-Litty I know right? He's really a tough act to follow but I think you did better than most. The work definitely shows. I know from experience that cleaning up immediately after a brutal scream relies heavily on technique placement and breath control specifically...without the skills it's impossible to be as smooth as you are So give yourself some credit. Maybe you're not as smooth as Noah yet...but for what it's worth you still ate this
@@noiZtheartist Cheers dude. I'm developing the philosophy that soft palate control > than everything else. I use it for vibrato, breath release, distortion, tuning my overtones, register transitions. It's really been the handiest tool to improving my singing is becoming one with that structure 👌👌 Also if you're a singer you should give some covers a go dude!
@@CJ-Litty I totally agree. I feel like Emotions are the people but technique is king. Without the latter the former is just pain and chaos. Without the former the latter holds no meaning. I actually had the former but I'd kinda f'd up my voice when I tried to start working on more difficult pieces. I've spent this year so far focusing on rehabilitating my voice to avoid messing it up anymore. I have one original on my channel if you're curious about my singing but I'm definitely planning to release some covers soon as well I'm just getting back to healthy again Only a few more spots in my range that need to clean up and I'll be 200%
@@noiZtheartist Sounds very similar to my journey, trust me it gets better. I'm a baritone who complained for years about not being able to sing anything in the upper range, and I could barely ever get through basic songs without becoming incredibly bereft. I knew what I wanted, but not how to achieve it. I'd say I've worked very hard for the past 3-4 years really educating myself on vocal anatomy, acoustics, and theory. The strategies I have in place now are second nature, but I had to unlearn a LOT of behaviours. Also challenge yourself, try and record yourself singing a song and know you might suck, but that it will get better :) thats what I did and i've noticed an stark improvement looking back over what i've previously sung to now and I'd say its heaps better.
That was great! As expected tbh XD. Love your head voice, sounds beautiful and clean every single time. As for suggestions, I'm a sucker for spiritbox so everything by them would be lovely but The Mara Effect pt.3, The Beauty Of Suffering and Eternal blue hold a very special place in my heart. If we're talking something a bit different, then Entheos - Oblivion, Vexed - Lazarus, Underoath - We're all gonna die. Not sure if they'll be comfortable for you to sing (and scream) though.
I reckon some spiritbox can be on the cards, and Underoath is one of my all time favourite bands. I think there are a few songs of Voyeurist I could have a go at. It may not see the light of day though 😂
The transitions from clean to distorted vocals were pure finesse
