Well installed my Moustache guard today..my god that top screw is fiddly, took me 30mins alone trying to get the nut & bolt to take..lol Looks really good on the bike and love it. Thanks for the helpful install vid...really helped!
Hi Max, yep you come close to reaching for the hammer don't you🤣Just glad the vid is of use👍
Thank you for the installation video, going to do mine in my softail slim this weekend
weather looking good this weekend so fit the guard before a great ride
That was great! Thanks for the instructions. Best Regards.
Just happy the video was of use👍
Merci beaucoup !! clair et efficace super vidéo
Hope it was of help
Looking good, for seat if you ride 2up allot id recommend a either Lapera Daytona, or kickflip, or saddleman explorer, you can also get HD's sundowner seat but imo its a bit ugly, for solo the stock seat is surprisingly comfy, I personally switched to Lapera Kickflip as an all rounder, mrs loves the back for day trips and i love the main seat for regular rides
Thanks, I only ride solo and like you say the stock seat is comfortable so if I change it will be for looks. So that's why I'm taking my time to decide, £400 or £500 is a lot of money to spend on looks. The Lapera Kickflip does look the business with the diamond stitching but again with shipping it hits £400 so I will make my mind up in the new year. Thanks for watching👍
@@My_bike_and_me just bare in mind that the kickflip does move you back around 1.5 - 2in from stock, this helped me as i am 6ft 3 but if your stretched to the controls it may not be a suitable option. Corbin seats are a good option to consider for a solo seat as well, and I believe they have UK distributors.
@@Mr-Linderman That is great advice, thank you. My Mum told me not to be long so I am only 5" 6". Thanks for the heads up👍
perfect investment..good luck
👍
Hello Martin,a very handy thing to have on the bike.would it protect your feet if anything happens?.matches well with the colour of the bike.
Hi Steven, the idea is to protect the engine and air filter if the bike fell over. I just need the back guards now to give the panniers the same protection
Thanks again for another demonstration. Mine should be here 5/8 for the Fat Bob. Do you think if the bike tipped over, the primary/derby cover would be protected from damage based on the dimensions of your bike and the guard you installed?
To be absolutely honest Im not 100% sure, it could be a close thing but I have the added rear pannier guards
Thank you. I was just looking at my Fat Bob frame and I think it’s got enough bottom clearance to not get damaged if the bike tips. I’ll see when I get the bars on. I believe my CVO Street Glide was lower and I know the primary would get dinged if it dropped.
Hi Martin, are there any soft covers available for that type of engine guard?. And as for seats, I use the saddleman step up which is breaking in nicely.
Hi Gary, not sure about the covers. The guard is a Harley one so I presume they have covers to fit. Im still undecided on the seat. If I change it I will defiantly go for a Sadleman but so far I have no issues with the stock seat. I guess if I change it will be more for looks. Just cant stop spending money on the bike 🤷🏻♂️
Hello, thank you for the video! I noticed your footrests. I like them very much! Where did you buy them?
From arhCustom www.arhcustom.co.uk/product/kuryakyn-premium-mini-boards-with-male-mount-adapters-in-chrome-finish-4392
Check with arh that you get the ones with the right peg adaptors. Just e mail them with your bike make, model and year and they will confirm the right adaptors
Looks a good engine guard , was it a HD guard ?
Hello Mark, yes mate HD guard
what size bolts are those for the two bottom ones?
They are T45 and come with the guard
