Actually, Ray says he's so-phisticated in a way any Muswell Hillbilly might put it. So sar-castic lol. And yes, You Really Got Me is as important as they say it is and has the Grammy to prove it. Both Leonard Bernstein and Ozzy Osborne called it fantastic. That's good enough for me.
Follow up to Lola. Reached number 5 in the UK and was a 'Radio Luxembourg' 'Power Play. Ray Davies also got away with using the 'f' word on this record for the first time.
My fav Kink's Song! There was a simple cartoon once which had humans - Olympic athletes v animals in the jungle, simple natural movement, climbing trees etc, surprise, surprise, the animals were way ahead of us!

Just another genius song from Ray and the boys. One of my favorites from The Kinks.
Kinks were great at catchy tunes that often made me smile. I still listen to them from time to time.
