I got one one of these back in may, to live and stay in. I did some modifications. I replaced the swiveling captains chair with an oven, and stove top, and replaced the couch/ bed with a actual bed, and I must say I’ve been living large! I have had no problems driving around, the gas is a big expensive, but it was well worth the 169k I spent on it, as I have lived in it full time, instead of a home.

Or get a 20 year old 23' class C RV, and have a literal home on wheels with 35 gallons of fresh water, a water pump, propane for hot showers and cooking, 3 beds, a generator to have electricity anywhere you go, more storage than you can ever use, a dining room table and full kitchen with fridge. Plus it's got the same wheel base and is just as easy to drive, and only about a foot wider. A class C RV for $8500 is better than that thing.. but it doesn't have leather. Take your pic.

In other words, comparing both is an amateur mistake, since there's very little to compare given the fact that the application and market demographic aimed by the manufacturer is tremendously different. That said, i agree with your point, one should always buy what actually fits one needs. For instance, I'm immigrating to America in the next semester, and I plan to acquire and live in a C RV for at least a year. The van would not cut it for my current purposes and intentions. Since you've mentioned exclusivity, albeit it's not my aim, I'm sure there are ways to transform the RV into an exclusive piece. I love fast cars too! My plan is getting the C RV first, second an F-Type. But hey if that Sprinter is what jiggles your pickle than I'm the first one to say buy it.

As I get older...I have been seriously looking hard at these. There is another comp any called Outside Van that converts these vans also. They are pricey also but scaled down on the luxury part.
