Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I am beyond thrilled that you are enjoying the braid. I am currently talking to some manufacturers about possibly doing a nylon line for us, not sure if it is something we will do 100% yet though until I get some samples from various manufacturers and see if it is something I want to offer. Oh yeah and we got a 2LB version coming down the pipe. I warn you though, it is literal spider silk lol.

Great comparison Chris. After experimenting myself, I started changing all my ultralite braid to 6 lb. high vis chartreuse Daiwa J-8 braid. I got a VAnford, so I bought some red Kastking 6 lb. Super 8. It performed just as well as the J-8. Then I tried some 5lb. phenix ironfeather in pink. I thought it would look good on my Vanford, and I was correct. It's my new favorite braid. Casts further and is very durable. It looks a lot like the JDM line you used in this video. My next step was trying "Varivas Ester" line. 2.3 lb. is where I'm at on my 2000 size ultra lite reels now. I use it for twitching and swimming small creature lures and Trout Magnets. I believe that it casts further and is more sensitive than braid, but it is way tougher to use. Not a line for beginners, but awesome for those who use ultra lite and super ultra lite gear for panfish. Thanks for sharing! Always enjoy your take on all things fishing!

Nah it’s actually pretty easy because there’s no such thing as the best. Every angler has different things they look for in braided line.

I like Strike King Contra braid but I used 15lb. I just can’t use anything under 15lbs braid the line is just too small in diameter. I’m more of a power fisherman so I like power finesse. I would run a 4lb test fluorocarbon leader to the braid. The fish don’t mind at all.

I’m using Trout Magnet S.O.S. 4 lb on my ultra light rig as you kids say. I really like it. I bought it off The Amazon. Have you used it before Chris? 🤔

you should look into making hair jigs its just as stratifying has fishing. catching fish too on a jig you made is also very cool.

Excellent demonstrations and info, Chris. I like the sound the braided line makes. While I haven’t tried braid yet, I have been super impressed with all of Creek Life Lure Company’s stuff. They put a lot of thought into their products and it shows. That orange braid is a match made in heaven for your Daiwa UL combo.🤌🐟

Is it any rougher on you guides when your getting that braid whine than the smoother braid? Great video Chris.

Not that I’ve seen. If that’s a concern then the smoother x8 strand braids would be a better choice for you. Me personally; I’ve never seen any line dig into line guides, even coarser braids.

Chris if you would have started to juggle those 5 reels in your hands you will have a supporter for life, not that I’m proud to subscribe for life already lol. I really like the options, so the bottom line is braid is the better option for all ultralight presentations? What is your feelings on Copolymer line? Thanks so much sir tight lines take care and God bless.

      Dude I can barely juggle 2 😂😂
As far as the braid goes, it’s just what I prefer. There’s nothing wrong with copolymer, mono, or fluorocarbon, I have a few setups with non braided line because it’s more convenient. I personally think braids advantages far outweigh its disadvantages. Especially when it comes to line capacity/lb test. Take most 1000 size reels for example, most are only going to hold around 110/120yd of 6lb mono. With 8-10lb braid, you will gain another 20-30yd. It doesn’t sound like a lot but if you pay $20 for a 150yd spool of braid, you’re going to get more of that braid on your reel than you would of a 150yd spool of mono in a smaller lb test. And braid doesn’t deteriorate like mono/floro does. It’ll fade but it doesn’t become brittle like non braids do. Braid is a better investment in the long term imo.
