How To Email Large Files Using Any Email Program or Service

- ☀️ Trying to email large files as attachments is typically a bad idea as your mail is likely to not be delivered. I'll look at alternatives.
Emailing large files
Exactly what is large will vary depending on your email provider, but most have size limits on what you can send. By far the best alternative is to place the file in a cloud service like Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or others, and then include a link to the file stored online in your email.

What to do when large attachments become a problem.
Honestly, its time for email to get with the current times as attachment files get larger and larger. Its amazing how so many email providers are still living back in the 90s with this.
It might also be time for the general public to learn the importance of using the right tool for the job.
Thank you, Leo! Once again, you've solved a problem I was having. Great video. Thank you!
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You have no idea how much this helped me!
Thank you so much. I never understood why the files couldn’t send. Precise clear and awesome.
Extremely helpful video Mr. Leo, sir. Thank you kindly
Love your clarity. I've been pulling my hair out trying to resize photos on my cell and even deleting them by mistake! Google photos sounds like my answer. You didn't mention if any of these services are free, but I will find out soon! Thanks Leo.
Very informative channel. I am surprised why you haven’t one million subscribers.

Bro is dropping the entire internet lore before he gets to the point

You need to make a much clearer distinction between digital still picture files and video files. First problem: Not everybody is using Win 10. Second problem: Size limits and up and download speeds vary so much as to make your suggestion unusable. Third problem: Many users may not wish to download a 25mg+ file, but rather just view the file or vid via a hosting service which Onedrive, and WeTransfer are not. Fourth problem: What do you mean "it's already been uploaded?" Excuse me, How, when?
Do they receiving the link need to have an active Windows or OutLook account to view? Can they save to file if they want?
No account needed in general. They can save the file to their own machine (usually), but cannot up date the master copy you've shared. (There are ways to share it with some services to allow editing, though, but it's an extra step, and then sometimes accounts are required.)
If I have to send like 6 or more pieces of paper thru my email how to do everything at ones instead 1 by 1
It depends on how you get the paper into digital form. Many scanners will let you combine scans into a single document, usually a PDF. Or you can simply attach all 6 images to a single email, but that makes it difficult for your recipient.
My email was using drop email. Then all of a sudden I can’t send over 25mb.
Hi, I have a large video file I want to email . The video is in 1 drive but when I click on share a window similar to what you show appears . I uncheck allow editing BUT, I do not see a link to copy or an option that says copy link . Where do I find that or how /where can I see the link . I tried to blow up the pic in your video but I could not see it .
What about multiple files or photos?
Exactly the same process, multiple times. Or, put all files in an archive file such as a .zip file and upload just that.
Photos sent via One Drive are still watered down versions. Problem not solved.
Help. I would like to send email blasts and attached my book trailers and can't without google drive. I tried to get my book trailers to go into one drive. Seems impossible. Any suggestions without a 3rd party app?
Depends on what you mean by "book trailer". Could mean many different things. (And please don't think of it as a "blast" ... no one wants to get blasted at. Use email to create a relationship, not blast marketing materials.)
Thank you. I like that. A book trailer is a 1 minute video.
So the approach most people use is to upload the video to UA-cam, and then send a link to the UA-cam video. Is there a reason that wouldn't work?
@@askleonotenboom Thank you. However it's not a UA-cam video. It's a video produced by a third party marketeer but not on UA-cam.
@@fredberri7225 With permission you could upload it to UA-cam. Another approach would be to place it into DropBox (a free account will likely do), and then share a link to the file. Actually, same should be true with OneDrive. If you want to pursue, hit askleo.com/ask with some of the details (like how OneDrive isn't working for you). This gets too long for a UA-cam comment thread. 🙂
Does one drive share video?
It can, yes.
